About this apartment rental
Ca' Leonessa is a recently (2010) restored luxury apartment located in the heart of Venice. It is a short walk from the bus and railway stations. Due to its superb location all the sites of Venice are either within walking distance or a couple of stops on the vaporetto. In the furnishing of the apartment the prime consideration has been to create a comfortable and welcoming oasis for you after a busy days sight seeing in magical Venice.
The living room (which overlooks the canal and the Campo San Barnaba) features two Natuzzi sofa's (one double sofa bed) a Linn sound system and HD television with DVD/CD player.
Both bedrooms are bright and airy with comfortable beds and have plenty of hanging/storage space in the bespoke wardrobes. Bedroom 1 has a luxurious double bed with fine linens and traditional Venetian fabrics. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. Both bathrooms are fully tiled with power showers.
The kitchen has been hand built and features dining for 6.

The location was excellent. We would repeat here. Quick access to cafes and restaurants, shopping, the water bus stop is just a block away. The configuration of the space is typical of older buildings with a TON of character.Two full bedrooms. King bed is located looking out over the canal without no en suite (bath in hallway). Twin beds are at rear a nicer en suite bathroom. We just pushed the two beds together and took the en suite. The kitchen includes a dining area and then the utility is a nice alcove (small but adequate). We especially liked the washer. The sitting room is a for real parlor style.Two small items.It’s an older adapted building so had three different flooring levels with a single 4in/9cm level between them. There were three of us total and we all adopted the practice of saying “step” each time we crossed them after stubbing our toes a couple of times each. It’s a non-issue.On our second day, the light switches for the entry area seemed to exhibit short circuits. The light would light up with nobody touching it or would flicker off. There wasn’t any combination or sequence that seemed to control it. We reported it to the owner, they thanked us and said this was a new thing. They also said they would check into it immediately. I know switch wiring and age sometimes have issues with 4-way switches. So this had me slightly concerned. But should be fixed by now.

Really nice apartment - conveniently located. There were some basics we wanted - like dish soap - that we were able to pick up at a supermarket located within a stone’s throw from the apartment. The piazza nearby has really good gelato (including a flavor I’ve not been able to find elsewhere) and there is a really good caffe and pastry shop around the corner as well. Communication was great. Also a secure luggage locker super conveniently located across the canal, 50 feet away. Inside, there are multiple small steps between some rooms - in case that important. Bathrooms and kitchen were nice. Master bedroom is probably due for a mattress replacement but honestly a great spot overall.

Spacious apartment, ideal for 4 adults sharing. Great location, quiet area but with in easy walking distance of the main Venice attractions. Lots of nearby restaurants and bars to choose from.

It's a nice property, clean and close to many restaurants. Conveniently located close to canal bus stop. Please do not call this a luxury apartment. No toiletries, no coffee/filters, this a just a home with beds. No luxury amenities.
