The host provided an excellent video that showed how to access the property - it was so clear and helpful.
The location was fantastic - just opposite the beach and 10 mins walk to town/harbour.
The lounge area was spacious and the air conditioning effective. Parking was easy and right outside the back door. The road outside the apartment and in between the beach was busy and noisy but the windows kept the noise out completely.
There wasn't sufficient hot water in the tank for a family of 4 - when we came in from the beach and all needed showers, it ran cold after 2 showers. There was only enough hot water to fill half the bath and there was no plug for the bath - I asked the host to provide one and he agreed and didn't.
There wasn't enough seating for a family of 4 - only one couch which we couldn't all fit on. The twin beds were old and uncomfortable. One had a mattress topper on it but the other didn't and you could feel the springs through the mattress.
The apartment was in need of refurbishment. The bath tub was rusty around the plug hole, the airvent above the shower was mouldy and dusty. These were comments we read on the reviews from a few years ago so doesn't appear as though the host has been proactive in actioning these issues.
The plates were chipped and only plastic bowls to use.
We could hear the neighbours running water and baby crying through the walls in the middle of the night.
