Location great, quite spot, beautiful room

I want to commend the majority of the staff for being exceptional. However the service at the front desk and the bar needs immediate attention. The front desk receptionist was cold, unhelpful and dismissive as we tried to engage with her. Further more the bar tender lack a welcoming attitude and handled ice directly with his hands raising cleanliness concerns. The food was exceptional. The room lacked a fridge and kettle which one will thought is essential.

Even though it hasn´t been on the menu the staff was able to produce eggs Benedict which were amongst the most tasty ones I have ever had.

Wifi connection in the rooms wasn't working most of the time. Not necessary in the 21st century.

Huge comfortable room with spectacular views of endless wilderness through floor to ceiling windows. Luxurious, comfortable canopy bed and leather lounge chairs facing the spectacular view. Huge rustic bathroom. Wonderful meals included. They coordinate with the balloon trip to tell you your departure time. Better to stay here than in the park if you want to do the balloon ride.

The site is beautiful and serene, and the hotel is located in a nice area.

I find the hotel extremely overpriced for what it offers. A set dinner is served every night, but there are no choices — if the meal is lamb chops, that’s what everyone eats. They could easily offer a small buffet with grilled meats and sausages, as many other lodges do. Breakfast was also disappointing — no sausages or bacon, and overall very limited options for a hotel charging €300 per night. That’s simply not acceptable for the price. When we arrived, we were told that our 5-year-old child had to pay, even though the booking clearly stated children stay free. The receptionist said she would check with management and get back to us, but she never did. At checkout, we were told we had to pay an extra €70 per night for our child, bringing the total to €370 per night — outrageous for the service received. On a positive note, the staff were friendly, and when I fell ill, the manager kindly gave me some medicine — a thoughtful gesture I appreciated. Still, I cannot recommend paying this price for the level of service offered. I’ve stayed in smaller lodges that provided buffets and thoughtful touches for half the cost.
