About this house rental
Located in Arnold, this lovely house for $175 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath 1600 sq feet tri-level home sitting on one acre in Blue Lake Springs, Arnold. Sleeps 6 very comfortably. Master bedroom is a loft on top, with California King bed and master bath with roomy shower/tub that looks into the trees. Main floor has spacious full-equipped kitchen with cozy living room and wood-fired stove. Features a new deck that spans across the home. Deck has gas-fired grill, patio table and great seating chairs for gazing at the trees and stars at night. Bottom floor has two bedrooms. One bedroom has full sized bed with bunk beds. Also opens up to a small deck with stair access to the property below. Great level area for bocce ball or horseshoes. Other downstairs bedroom has a full-sized bed as well. Downstairs bath with stall shower. All beds (except for the bunks) have memory foam toppers and are very comfortable. Linens/towels/dishes/games - everything you need to enjoy some time away! Plus wi-fi, Apple TV/Chromecast for streaming. (no cable tv) Note: Do not misplace the Apple TV remote. Lost remotes - $75 charge. 20 minutes away from Murphy's - which has numerous wineries and restaurants. While in Murphy's check out the Ironstone Vineyard Concert series! 35 minutes away from Bear Valley for skiing/snowboarding plus cross country skiing and snow fun. Blue Lake, 1.2 miles away from the house, in the summer offers awesome family recreation - complete with pool, lake, bbqs, snack shack, tennis, basketball and bocce courts. (there is a daily fee - $15 per person or $75 for a group up to six) White Pines Lake a quick 10 minute drive is great for fishing for blue gills and small bass. And has a great disc golf course that goes around the lake. Big Trees Calaveras Park is minutes away and offers awesome hiking. If coming during the winter: highly recommend all wheel/4-wheel drive vehicles if it is snowing. Even after the snow and the roads are clear, it can be icy. While my driveway isn't a super-steep downward slope, it is still a slope and vehicles do have an issue getting out in snow or icy conditions. Please note, Robin's Nest is my home, I do stay here during the year so this is not strictly a vacation rental. I ask that you be respectful of my home, my personal belongings and items. A note about taxes. In November 2018, Calaveras County approved Measure G, increasing the Transient Occupancy Tax from 6% to 12% in order to bring in much needed to enhance emergency response programs and services. You will see this charge once you make your reservation with HomeAway.

Property and house lay out were great. Amenities such as tv/streaming, games, etc were great.
It is a little off the beaten path. We liked the setting, but can be tricky finding the house in the dark. We had no problem with parking but with ice or snow the narrow, steep driveway would be interesting.
Overall, 5 stars definitely.

Nice property in nice area of blue lake springs. Everything about this house was great. The only thing that could have been better is if the deck area was cleaned more.... pollen everywhere and the grill needs to be cleaned.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed Robin's beautiful home peacefully nestled in the big trees. While the weather was raging outside, we were warm, comfortable and safely tucked away in this cozy home, enjoying the warmth of the fire. Our first night we experienced a hard winter rainstorm that blew through the area, followed by a foot of fresh snow the next. We had a great stay with spectacular views of the forest and nature at its best.
We highly recommend this home in the woods for a mountain retreat or ski weekend.

Robin was an amazing host, very informative and super easy to communicate with. The cabin was spacious but the fireplace and decor made it feel cozy. The views out of the main room into the giant trees was definitely a highlight!!! We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved staying here! Very well-appointed house with something for everyone - puzzles, books, toys, lots of cozy spots to just chill. The views were phenomenal - really did feel like we were in a tree-house. We hope to be back again!

Great central location to the local areas we typically visit - Bear Valley, Calaveras Big Trees, Downtown Murphy, Moaning Caverns. Robin's Nest is located in a quieter more secluded area which was nice and it was close to the entrance to the National Park. The property was very clean and spacious for our family of 4 to enjoy. We would definitely would return! Thanks Robin!!!

We used the property as a base for an extended work project. A great place of support us after long 12-hour days. Every amenity was available in working order to allow us to quickly rest and prepare for the next days work. Would recommend for any purpose.

Treehouse experience
This home has stunning views of the trees all around you with large windows surrounding the living area. Normally with so many windows you may feel a lack of privacy, but not here- you are surrounded by trees, almost as if you’re in a treehouse. It is so peaceful and beautiful, we did not want to leave. I’m usually an early riser, but sleeping in the upstairs loft with views of the treetops, I wanted to stay in bed all day.
The home is very comfortable with everything you may need. Next time I will bring the grandkids.
The owner is easy to communicate with. There was a power outage while we were out, and Robin sent texts with estimated restoration.

I really liked the location of the rental located in a bright and sunny part of the community.. Sometimes some of these cabins can seem dark and cold especially in winter but this cabin is wonderfully located with adequate sunshine and shade. It is roomy and clean and with a nice open layout. It is fully loaded with everything you need and then some. I would highly recommend it for any family. The host was also very responsive and helpful in her instructions ect.

Beautiful cabin nested in the hills of Arnold, surrounded by trees from 3 directions. You can see the trees from anywhere in the cabin. Living room & kitchen are especially surrounded by great views. Very relaxing and comfortable.

Lovely cabin in the trees and snow
My kids and I had a great stay at Robin's! The kitchen was well stocked (great for hot chocolate after coming in from the snow), and the location was great (in a quiet part of a forested neighborhood). We had fresh snow on the day we arrived and had lots of fun throwing snowballs and making snow angels. TVs and Wifi meant we could stream movies, and there was plenty of space and comfy beds for us to crash at the end of the day. We'd love to stay again!
