Loved the fact there were two windows and a comfy sofa to sit on. Liked the biscuits provided. There was only us two having breakfast and it was cooked perfectly from scratch. We had so much choice
If I had to choose a negative. A minor thing is could be improved by having a long mirror and maybe a shelf of some kind in the bathroom. To be fair there was a double cupboard under the sink you could use. .

Staff were lovely made us feel very welcome and always a smile on their face
Lots of stairs it was a wee bit of a challenge with our suitcases and only very small window room was rather dark. Must point this did not impact our stay only mentioning so other guests are aware

No breakfast. Location is Whitby. Prior knowledge is an adavantage of the place is a bonus, but would be a let down for first time visitors. Unfortunately, due to nature of building there is no ameneties for disabled. THIS IS NOT THE OWNERS FAULT. I would not be able to comment on the food as I did not have a meal there. However, I only saw empty plates being returned. A fair array of drinks available at a local Whitby price. You have to be fit as it is a walk down into town, and of course the long walk back to accomodation. Please do not expect more than what you pay for, and remember; your are visiting a beautufl town, so accomodation of any sort is short.
No matter where you go, there is no place that can cater for each individual. Certain areas in the town, however like to exploit the fact you are a tourist or a visitor and will take advantage of your purse strings.
