IMPORTANT BEFORE BOOKING
Exuma, a charming family island, might not fit the bill if Ibiza or Palm Beach is what you're after. It's a sleepy island with its share of quirks: imperfect roads, improving but still developing infrastructure, occasional power outages, low water pressure, and slow internet all common island issues. Alongside the roads, you'll spot unfinished construction jobs, encounter no-see-ums, mosquitoes, geckos, and ghost ants occasionally finding their way into buildings. Service can be slow in some places.
Yet, Exuma isn't the typical 5-star resort island where everything is meticulously catered to. Here, people are genuine, kind, and truly helpful, though they might take their time. Crime is remarkably low, setting it apart from many other Caribbean islands. Exuma embodies traditional values, almost like a step back 70 years in time unspoiled, stunning, and often serene outside of George Town.
We're intimately familiar with Exuma, having visited numerous times since 2007, fostering lasting relationships with locals. To ensure your comfort and safety, we've installed new hurricane-proof windows and doors in 2023, allowing you to relax without worry. Each room is equipped with ceiling fans, keeping the space cool and airy throughout your stay. The two full baths feature modern cabinetry, providing convenience and functionality.
Entertainment and relaxation blend seamlessly in our living area. Sink into our California-style lounging couch, spacious enough for seven people, adorned with 14 giant cushions for an indulgent experience. Dimmable lights set the perfect ambiance, whether you're unwinding after a day of exploring or preparing for a night of fun. We absolutely love this house! We’ve stayed here many times in the past and will be booking again in the future. The space is perfect. Plenty of room in all the bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms in perfect. The view is amazing and the pool is so nice. We love the outdoor shower and also the fish cleaning area. A special thank you to Elvis, the caretaker for ensuring we had everyone needed. We look forward to our next visit.

We loved our week stay at The Yowl House. The location and outside area is exceptional. The pool, outsede lighting, and blue tooth speakers were wonderful. And the view!!!! The location of the house is perfect, near town, yet very private. You will need a car, and we rented Elvis's for the week. Elvis was so helpful and kind. His boat was in the shop, so we didn't get to experience his, we rented one from Brown's for one day. This is an older house, but was spotlessly clean and roomy. The furniture is older and sparse, but the beds were comfy. Appliances and gas grill also older. Pick up a bag of ice on your way in! New windows and outer doors have unpainted frames. The ocean comes up to the road just below the house, and turtles feed there every evening! The nearby beachy area has a grassy ocean floor and lots of upside down jelly fish. It's interesting, but you'll want to drive to the beautiful beaches Exuma is known for. The Yowl House side yard is beautiful with flowers and coconut trees.

The property is right in the middle of the island.
It’s minutes from restaurants, grocery store, docks, boats, everything. You can walk across the street to the beach and hop right in the water. Day one, hour one we saw two turtles. The pool is wonderful and Elvis is super helpful. Can’t wait to go again.
