Remli Villa was a solid choice for staying in Kandy. It's removed enough from the hustle and bustle of the main streets to be peaceful and relaxing while being close enough that there was never an issue with getting a tuk-tuk to go out anywhere. The food was really good, particularly breakfast, with a great view of the forested hillsides where you can watch the monkeys and birds going about their business. The host was friendly and helpful without being too pushy or overbearing.
The pictures are essentially accurate but are definitely either slightly touched up, filtered, or at least taken in a very flattering light. We were still very happy with the room and I wouldn't discourage anyone from booking, and I get why a place feels the need to do it, but with the rise of AI it's a practice that I find myself increasingly less tolerant of.

The best idea to stay in Kandy is this Villa! Beautiful located on a hill in a calm neighborhood it gives you spectacular views. The host and his team is super nice and helpful and they take the best care of you. The host even picked us up and drove us to the Villa. You can relax at the roof terrace, eat the delicious homecooked breakfast and enjoy your stay (we also recommend the tasty dinner, which you can order). It gives the perfect contrast to the busy Kandy city life and the rooms are beautiful and clean. Big recommendation! :)

The rooftop had a great view of Kandy. The breakfast was very good.
Our toilet door couldn't shut properly. The bathroom design isn't ideal, as soon as one person showers the whole place gets wet. There isn't anywhere to put toiletries or personal belonging in the toilet. The hotel location is really far from town.
