I had a wonderful stay at this unit in March. It was very comfortable, with a great bed and an unbeatable location.
You’ll find it right in the heart of Alfama, yet it feels like its own quiet enclave, complete with a mural beside the entrance. Walk just 50–100 winding meters in any direction and you’ll discover restaurants, transit, markets, coffee shops, and laundry (really anything you might need) tucked along charming cobblestone alleys.
The host, Jorge, is fantastic. I almost hesitate to say this because I’m sure he’s busy, but if you have the chance, ask him for recommendations. He was very eager to help. The little time I spent chatting with him genuinely enhanced my trip, is suggestions were far better than anything I found online.
One thing to note: as the unit is set among Alfama’s winding alleyways and Lisbon’s famous hills, you’ll need to navigate some stairs when coming and going. I was aware of this in advance, and even with a bad knee, I didn’t find it an issue. With a bit of planning(and by using Lisbon’s excellent transit or ride-share options) you can choose routes that suit you best. I would typically start my day with a short uphill walk and return a different way the meant I was walking up hill to come bacc, (since going downhill bothered my knee more) ;others could easily do the reverse.
One of my favorite aspects of the location is that within about five minutes, you can reach a stop for the iconic Tram 28, which carries you out of Alfama and into other parts of the city for further exploring.
Overall, a fantastic stay in a truly special part of Lisbon.

The position was excellent, and the neighbourhood was beautiful. Very nice walking the streets of Alfama. The host was very friendly and helpful, he answered all our questions very quickly. Cheers to him!
The apartment was smaller than expected. Was not such a big problem because most of the day we were gone visiting the city.

Everything...the apartment was in such a great area, close to everything.
Its small but has all you need.
Jorge is a wonderful host...really lovely person, very accommodating.

Lage war sowohl pro als contra. Pro: zentral, Contra: Zimmer im Erdgeschoss, keine Gitter an den Fenstern, daher Nachts lüften nicht möglich. Dadurch sehr warm.
Viele Touristentruppen, die direkt vor dem einzigen Fenster der Unterkunft stehen, dadurch sehr unruhig.
