About this house rental

Nestled in Tybee Island, this lovely house for $415 per night is a great option for your next break. Due to its location on a point, large lot, 180-degree tidal creek views, away from the road on a long private drive and peaceful setting, guests have said staying at "Serenity" is like "staying on your own island". Short 6-7 minute walk to Tybee's most remote beach. Easy walk to Tybee's famous Huc-a-Poos as well as several other restaurants and coffee shops. Perfect location for guests looking to be within a short walk to the Wedding Chapel. Naturalists and Birders love it. If you want to relax, experience a gorgeous view with great breezes, yet still be close to the beach, this is your perfect place. A well-known Tybee home offered for the first time as a vacation rental in 2018. The home has been completely renovated and tastefully decorated with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, fans in every bedroom with a Jacuzzi tub in the master bath. For guests seeking a peaceful retreat during the cooler months, we also have a fireplace. At the end of our long private drive, there is a pedestrian light for easy access to shops, restaurants and the beach. To get to our home from Tybee Road on the private drive, you pass several houses and lots, so you don't have to worry about traffic. We also have one of the larger lots on Tybee, so a great and safe area for kids to play. Once guests arrive, they will enjoy sitting on our decks to enjoy fresh, cool breezes and the best creek and marsh views on Tybee. The stars at night light up the sky. The home sits on a point, so extremely private. When our friends see the view, they say "wow"! In regard to the home itself, the great room off the kitchen has a 180-degree view of the creeks and marshes, high ceilings with three French doors that open up to breezes from the balcony and deck. In addition to comfortable outside furniture, there is a restored teak table on the deck for outside dining and a Weber gas grill. To further enjoy the breezes, we added a hammock on the deck and a swinging porch swing. We also have indoor and outdoor games, books, beach chairs and a beach cart available for our guests. There is a ping pong table downstairs. We have three bedrooms with queen beds and a queen sofa bed in the great room. We have an extra foam top for the sofa bed for added comfort. Several guests also asked for an extra bed in the reading nook off the master bedroom for children who want to be close to mom and dad. Therefore, we added a high-end Milliard Diplomat moveable foldable twin bed there as well. Since Tybee is a small island, biking is popular. There is a bike shop a few minutes away. There is also a kayak place a short walk a way to rent kayaks. If you interested in staying on the south end of the island, our other home is VRBO 460288 "Stargazer". It also has a 4.9 out of 5.0 rating from more than 140 reviews. It doesn't have the marsh views, yet it an historic Tybee cottage, four houses from the ocean.

My wife and I loved staying for a week at Mike's home on Tybee Island in the middle of the winter. The house was huge and the extra bedrooms and bathroom came in handy when we had another couple stay over one night. The home is well-stocked with everything you need...way more than any other vacation home we've rented. The location up against the marsh and further away from the road made this an ideal, peaceful location for us. Mike is an excellent communicator and made sure we had every key piece of information before our trip, and thanked us for choosing his home before we left. We were very impressed with Mike's professionalism and kindness. Tybee and nearby Savannah were a perfect escape from Pittsburgh's winter, albeit for just a week. Though the highs ranged from the lower 40s to lower 60s during our stay, every day way bright and sunny. We walked on the sparsely occupied beaches daily, took a walking tour of Savannah (using the company Mike suggested), spent a morning in Bonaventure Cemetery and got to know Tybee and Savannah pretty well. We enjoyed one awesome meal after another and really loved the area. If you're thinking of taking a trip to Tybee/Savannah, stay here. You won't be disappointed. Brian and Christine.

WOW. That's what went through our minds as we drove up to this amazing home nestled on the Tybee Island marshland. We've visited Tybee dozens of times, but this is one of my favorite stays of all time. The home is spacious and well kept. The wrap around porch though is the highlight of this rental. We loved sitting out gazing on the marshland and watching the sunset. It's the perfect location if you want an off-the-grid feel, but within walking and biking distance of restaurants and the beach. This would be an amazing place for a family to stay as there are plenty of stocked games and activities. The host was amazing and even offered us a later checkout once he knew the cleaners couldn't come until later in the day. I highly recommend. We will be back!

We loved staying at Serenity! The porch overlooking the marsh was so peaceful and restful. We loved the location too. Close to great restaurants. This was our first visit to Tybee Island but certainly won’t be our last. We’re already discussing our next trip. Mike was so helpful and answered all our questions. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!

I'll start with this; you can't go wrong with staying here. It is a great location on Tybee. The north of Tybee is the best of it. It's a short walk to the beach, which feels like it's almost private. From the house, it's a quick left then right to hit the best tiny coastal strip of stores you've ever seen. I'm not talking gaudy "surf shops." This is a gem of small places, anchored by Huc-A-Poos. You won't find a better bang for your buck, and their pizza is no joke. This rental is designed for anywhere from our usage to a full-on small family reunion/large close-friend group. There are three queen beds, with all new mattresses from the feel of them, plus a pull-out, a glider for rocking little ones, etc. I'm sure someone else with kids will have better input, but I can't imagine they'd be disappointed with what the owner has supplied. Locally, we ate at Huc-A-Poos, Chamaco's and Zunzibar's. They are all basically across the street from the house. It's a very quick drive to Savannah, and we enjoyed a bunch of dog-friendly places there: brunch (Clary's, B. Matthew's, Collins Quarters), dinner (The Vault). We've stayed at quite at a lot of places using VRBO/HomeAway in multiple locations (SSI, Tybee, etc), always with pets. I'll end with this; the owner of this home is hands down the best we've ever come across. Rent this place with no worries. P.S. The view off the deck is so relaxing, and it changes with the tide.

We had a great stay. The view from the patio was so tranquil and the wind chimes relaxing. We did yoga on the patio. Had evening barbecues and went on a dolphin tour. Visted Savannah, fort Pulaski and the beach. Time for reflection in our family after a great loss.

Our family has rented numerous houses on VRBO, and we enjoyed all of them. But we found Serenity to be the most completely furnished home of them all. Everything that we needed was there; the home was spotlessly clean; and the back deck was simply amazing. We all spent hours on the back porch, fascinated by the views of the marsh and the countless birds. Tybee Island offers many fun restaurants, and the kids really enjoyed the beach. But for my wife and I, the marsh views were simply the best part of the Island. We're already planning a return trip.

Very restful and and relaxing place to stay and we all very much enjoyed the private deck overlocking the wet lands and the close proximity to everything on Tybee Island
