About this house rental
This spacious home we call The Cove, has two full levels with lots of spaces to relax, enjoy videos, games, books or conversation. We rent to family groups only. If soaring pines, a backyard swing, a play zone for kids and a cozy fire pit are important to you, then you have found one of the top repeat destinations in Port Franks! We have wifi, over 100 movies, and a shelf filled top to bottom with games and Lego. Enjoy meals on an outer deck or spacious dining area. Spend your afternoons catching some rays on the deck, or enjoying a book nestled in front of the fireplace.
This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 30 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 14 to 29 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 14 days prior to check-in.
CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
Our house rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, no pets.
This is a spacious, quiet use family cottage. We do not rent to groups of peers who are looking for a party place. We have had many folk return to the cottage because of its size, amenities, cleanliness and location. We ask that you tell us a little about yourselves before booking. Also, note that guests are to provide their own linens and towels.
Note also that Garage Loft (sleeps 5) is available at $100 per night for the duration of the booking and Bunkie (sleeps 3) is available at $65 per night. These are Optional Add Ons.

Our children, grandchildren and us spent a fantastic vacation together at the Cove. The cottage is situated in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and its facilities lend well to multigenerational families. The short walk to the family friendly beach provided great opportunities to enjoy beautiful sunsets and the beauty of Lake Huron. Our family loved the homey feeling of the cottage. We appreciated the layout of the dining room where we could eat together as a family or also step out onto the upper deck to enjoy time together. Lots of activities were available for various ages. The campfire pit made for relaxing evenings. Our host, Ross, was quick to address any specific requests for our group and to answer any questions we might have. We would highly recommend the Cove for a family retreat!

Our family of 3 generations stayed at The Cove for 5 nights in Aug 2025. It was everything we needed, sleeping for 10 a long table for meals and a nice deck off the family room. The beach was a 3 block walk and the wagon helped bring little ones and accessories back and forth. We had a camp fire in the fire pit and the kids played on the play set. We made a trip to the strip in Grand Bend, played golf at Sand Hills and enjoyed pizza from Grogs. Thanks to Ross and Sandy we enjoyed our stay at your cottage!

Our whole family Mom, Dad, three adult children and partners plus three grandchildren gathered at the Cove for a week. The weather was perfect for spending time at the beach which was about a 10 min walk. Port Franks is perfect for little ones, Sandy and very shallow area for safety and easy assess to the water. Ross and Sandy’s spot had everything we needed with the number of bedrooms to accommodate our family. A great deck off the living room where we ate most of our meals. Would recommend this cottage for a great family vacation.
