About this cabin rental
Located in Ohio, this lovely cabin for $420 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Only 8.1 miles to Old Mans Cave! 11 miles to Ash Cave! 11 miles to Conkles Hollow! The renovated log cabin features a welcoming 50 foot front porch complete with a swing and rocking chairs! The fully remodeled kitchen and modern appliances will offer you all the comforts of home and includes a beautiful 8’ granite island and seating for 6. Guests will enjoy this perfect entertaining space, as the dining table and kitchen are open to the large living space, 60” tv, and wood burning fireplace. There is a half bath on the main floor. Overlook the private, peaceful wooded grounds and small pond from the 50 foot second floor balcony. The first floor of the cabin has 2 private bedrooms, and each has a king bed. The master bathroom is complete with jetted tub, glass enclosed shower, and washer and dryer. The log cabin features a walkout lower level and lounging space that includes a pool table and 60” tv. The lower level includes another bedroom, that can sleep 6 adults comfortably in 2 bunk beds, both full-over-queen (or up to 8 with small children). Downstairs guests will have a private full bath as well. The property also has a private cottage only 100 feet from the main house. The cottage has its own full bath, fully equipped kitchen, and can sleep 2 in the cozy bedroom with queen bed. The cottage rental is included with the regular rental fee. All guests will have access to the oversized, jetted hot tub on the lower level! While staying here, please take time for a peaceful walk in the woods along the paths, roast marshmallows over the firepit, feed the fish and watch for wildlife! This cabin rental is for all those that are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway. Parties, loud music, and additional guests WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. NO ATVs or recreational vehicles without prior approval. No pets. Swimming and fishing are not allowed. Hunting is not permitted. The pond is NOT fenced and extreme caution should be taken with children. There are security cameras on the exterior of property. Must be at least 30 to rent at this cabin. We loved our short weekend stay at the cabin for Christmas! Both cabins were super clean and had everything we needed from an accommodation standpoint. Very close to the trails also, will be back for sure!

I rented the property for a women’s retreat weekend. It was such a beautiful space, inside and out. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the walking trail and fire pit, and we so appreciated that there was plenty of firewood. Thanks for sharing your beautiful space with us!

Overall an ok. The listing and FAQ all said EVERYTHING for the kitchen was there. Unfortunately there wasn’t any Saran Wrap, tin foil, ziplock bags, or measuring spoons. We stayed in the whole time and cooked all our meals there. Unfortunately they only give you 1 kitchen towel and 2 trash bags! 12 people bringing all the food & eating in the whole time produce more trash than that. We even ran low on TP, only 1.5 rolls per bathroom! Cleaning wise, just don’t look under the tables or at the dust. Beds were comfortably, hot tub great, and decor was nice.

The cabin was very nice and very well stocked, especially the kitchen which we loved. Lots of towels even for the hot tub. There was 7 adults and one infant and plenty of space to spread out. The small cabin did not have much hot water in shower.? only other con was neigbors who shot off about a thousand rounds of gunfire at night and then ran chainsaws at 10:30 at nite !!! wish grass had been cut. Enjoyed trails and watching fish in pond.

This cabins location was great just 15 mins away from most things we wanted to do. We loved the in law cabin and being able to use the wood fireplace made it just the most relaxing cabin we have stayed at.

This cabin was very accommodating for our Friendsgiving event we travel for every year!! The kitchen is incredible for making big dinners!! Everything you could possible need to cook with !! The owners were very responsive when we emailed them about a few things we found!

Well we enjoyed the property very much, I was disappointed in the fact that I was charged a large cleaning fee and when we got there, we had to run the vacuum and the canister was nearly full of what appeared to be an animal hair and dander. That was very disappointing, to charge that kind of cleaning fee and have such a dirty area. The living room rug was full of hair and dirt. All I can say is the people that got it after us are starting off with a much cleaner place. If you’re going to charge that to a large cleaning fee, I envision the place being clean.

We loved the property, everything was clean, and a well-stocked kitchen. The only thing we were disappointed in was the internet. I had a zoom meeting for work that cut out 5 times during the meeting as I would lose the internet connection. Also, when we'd watch Netflix at night, the show would need to buffer multiple times. I understand that is what you get for in a more remote area, but knowing that I had a zoom meeting for work I specifically looked for a property with internet.

We needed a family get away and opted to not go with our larger vacation plans due to COVID. Hocking Hills offered a location close to home, but still a get away. We enjoyed all the private indoor and outdoor space. The kitchen had everything you could think of! We enjoyed playing pool and time in the hot tub. We went to Lake Logan twice, enjoyed a pontoon rental as well as the beach. The family is asking to go back!

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at this property. The living area was spacious and open so we could all interact together. The kitchen is played out so well. The basement was an added bonus for the kids to have some privacy and they loved the hot tub. The bedrooms were huge with tons of space for many. The yard was great for games and porches for sitting. The guest house was also perfect for a family, but the little kids were scared because it had a musty odor. Grandparents had no complaints though. The location was also great for Hocking hills activities. We had 6 adults and 6 kids with lots of room to spare. If we go back, I would definitely consider this property again.

The main house was very clean inside … the additional house was not a heathy environment to stay in even though it was beautiful and we planned to use it … we could not due to the fact of the tarp on the roof had leaked inside the additional house made it feel unsafe … there where a lot of bugs and water marks on the walls. It smelled like mold and mildew. Getting inside the house we did not receive the right code and with no reception I had to drive a few miles down the road to call the manager. The Wi-Fi passwords and usernames where incorrect and there where three inside the home which made it very confusing. Over all I would stay in main home again. It was beautiful and clean. Although I would recommend curtains or blinds for the living room/kitchen windows. It has an amazing view off the deck with the pond and trees… at night the stars are absolutely amazing!

The stay was exactly as expected. It was very clean and exactly what we were looking for. It was listed as a charcoal grill, but when arrived it was a propane grill so we brought unnecessary supplies. I would recommend that in the welcome binder put internet connection instructions, we had a 1-2 second power surge which cut off the internet on the 3rd day of a 4 day trip. Unfortunately, the internet did not come back online and we could not figure it out so we did not have internet for 2 days.

In town for family wedding. 6 adults, 6 teenagers. We used both main house and guest house. So much room for everyone. Wide variety of dishes and cooking utensils. We did have to ask for more towels as there wasn't enough. Hot tub and pool table needed attention. All matters were handled promptly. Owner very responsive and staff polite and quick. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful. Beds very comfortable. Highly recommend. One suggestion is to bring slippers for guest house.

Checking into the cabin was very easy but the stay was not smooth. We stay over the Fourth of July week where it was 90+ degrees outside and the A/C unit was broken. Susan, the owner, had three people out to check the A/C with no answer and not getting it fixed. We had to all sit in the guest house for the whole second day because of the heat. This cabin also advertises a pool table and a game room. In this “game room” there is only a pool table, in which you can not play. It was purchased from an arcade asking for quarters. We put in quarters to play and still nothing. There were no balls to play. Throughout our stay, we were frequently reaching out to the owners and were not receiving a reply after the first maintenance man came out to check on the AC unit.

Not enough towels, wash cloths, no dishsoap, only 3 trash bags for 4 days. Air conditioner in main cabin never went below 80 degrees. We still managed to have a great time.

There were 2 families that stayed here for 4 days/3nights for our Spring Break. 4 adults, 8 kids (ages 3-15). Overall, it was a great place to spread out. We never felt crowded. It was really nice to have the extra little house for the 3 teen boys to stay in. It was great to have the big open grassy area to play in and the kids also enjoyed the wooded area on the property. We went out during the days and did hiking at a few different locations....it was nice to be pretty close to trails. We did all of our meals in the house. We would spend quite a bit of time opening cupboards looking for stuff, but it was pretty well stocked. It was good that the owner told us that we would only have 2 dishwasher pods, trash bags, etc......because we needed more than that and did bring some. Hot tub worked well. Firepit was nice to have - bring your own firewood. We bought some while we were out, but didn't use it all and left it for the next group. Description said there was only a charcoal grill.....but there was also a gas grill. Defiintely heard a group of coyotes yipping and howling in the evening times. Quite a few vocal birds in the mornings. Teen boys don't really care about sheets/pillowcases, but their moms do. When I realized the boys were not using sheets or pillowcases, I searched both houses for them, but couldn't find any extra linens. I eventually emailed and asked if we could have some, but by then we only had one more night. They said housekeeping would bring us some, but I never saw any. We also did see a small mouse run through the basement area one evening. Didn't love that there's a decent-sized cleaning fee and then there were also tip envelopes for the house cleaners as well.
Overall, the weather was great during our stay and the accomodations were really enoyable for our two families to have time together.

Our family had a great mini-spring break at this spacious and comfy cabin. Great updates space, comfy furniture, lots of seating, comfy beds. There was lots for us to do including building a fire in the fire pit, feeding the fish in the pond, corn hole, billiards, board games and more. It’s super convenient to great hiking spots (we loved Cedar Falls), the wind chime store and to the city of Logan. Highly recommend!

Place was very clean. Linen/bedsheets smelled very clean!!. Beds were very comfortable (and we are pretty picky) The basement was perfect for the 6 kids we had in our party. They all were able to have enough space with the dbl bunk beds and their own sitting area and bathroom. The cottage house was very nice. Management was very helpful and easy to get ahold of to solve any issues we might of add. Definitely recommend this cabin!!

Plenty of space for everyone in my group of 10 to sleep comfortably, and everyone can sit at a table or the island to eat. Kitchen supports two to three people cooking together. Hot tub on a snowy night was simply magical. There was some confusion on instructions for checkout between the binder and what I was emailed and what the property contact told me directly. Recommend printing the checkin-checkout instructions before going because not much cell service. Overall we had a great time and this property was perfect for what we wanted for the weekend.

When we arrived we found several things dirty, even a red work towel was left on the clean towels. Bathroom wall was very dirty and under the door handle as well. Several light bulbs were burnt out. Hot tub was leaking. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, and we were asked to start a load of laundry and the dishwasher before we checked out. Weven paid a heafty cleanup fee and felt that's what that should be used for. There was an envelope to tip cleaners; I felt was unnecessary due to the cleaning fee I already paid. Beware not to use there cleaning products either you'll be charged. Such a shame because no one likes staying in filth. We felt as if we could not relax because we were told there were cameras and didn't want to be treated like toddlers. Please save your money and go somewhere you'll get your monies worth.
