Beautiful Old Home.

We had a wonderful visit. The house is beautiful. The breakfast and host delightful. I would stay longer next time and tour the area.

Manor house near Galway

Nice location near Galway. The House itself is nice

While the house itself is lovely, the apartment we stayed in had no character, felt tired, & the bathroom was spacious but not great. Breakfast was so-so. We would not book again.

Exceptional

Beautifully restored country manor. Spent 3 nights and travelled the area. Our host was extremely helpful and provided suggestions to compliment our existing schedule. We added at least one new place to visit every day based his recommendations. Ample parking, large room (King's Room) and relaxing atmosphere. We loved our stay here. The room is exactly as the pictures.

It was a remarkable five days stay.

We enjoyed our stay, the good morning conversations and the breakfast was more delicious than in our four star hotel in Dublin. Also the possibilities to habe a good run in the morning.

Very enjoyable

First class breakfast, plenty of choice and well presented. Good appropriate atmosphere for such a lovely old property.

We had an apartment, it would have helped to have had the rubbish cleared, or information where it could have been removed to.

Beautiful property

Lovely old house. Great views from room. Clean and very spacious bedroom. Great shower. Excellent breakfast choice. There are plenty of walks nearby but didn't get chance of any. Bit off beaten track but taxi into Tuam only 15 minutes

Good

Very tranquil, relaxing, no tv in room so total switch off, yoga room too. Staff very friendly , breakfast was lovely too. Room was lovely & great view.

Superb

The house is wonderful and very quiet location. By car it is 30 minutes to Galway and 10 minutes to Tuam. It is also a good place for excursions and walks. We were greeted very kindly and looked after very well. The breakfast is great. We had rented a suite with two bedrooms. Very large. We highly recommend the accommodation.

It got pretty cold at night, would’ve liked another sausage a breakfast. Could be quite tricky to find, very out of the way

I wish we could stay longer. Hosts Joyce and Aiden are simply the most wonderful hosts!

First and foremost the wonderful hosts! Gave us a lot of attention and great assistance, always being cheerful and really awesome. The house is located in a beautiful and very quiet location. Very big and wide rooms. And the breakfast is exceptional - plenty of options to choose from, and all were carefully prepared and very tasty.

Relaxing, beautiful, perfection.

Joyce welcomed us and talked so passionately about the house and it’s history. The shared downstairs areas of the conservatory, sitting room, library and dining rooms were homely and calming. They even have a yoga studio! Breakfast was superb, cooked freshly to order. A good variety of hot meals, breads and pancakes and fruits etc. the whole meal was delicious. The grounds and view are beautiful. Would love to return. Cannot thank the hosts enough for their efforts and kindness throughout our stay.

We loved everything. One suggestion would be two comfortable chairs in one of the bedrooms so that there was a place to enjoy the view with a cup of tea, but other than that everything was perfect. Thanks

We liked the historic charm of the house and property. Breakfast was delicious. The eggs were fluffy and perfectly prepared and the french pressed coffee was excellent. We enjoyed talking with the staff. They had good knowledge of the area and history.

Excellent service with clam atmosphere, close to the Cliffs of Moher .

We loved the full Irish breakfast and the location was amazing with such a cool view.

I would prefer fire place in the garden, so you can sit out and have few beers in the late evening.

Great experience - would recommend!

Great experience to be in a castle - and nicely renovated and furnished. The host was very attentive and helpful. Excellent breakfast.

it was a bit chilly but such is life in a large castle in springtime. A great fire was provided in the sitting room

Peaceful, healing stay at this beautiful manor outside the big city.

The location was phenomenal and we LOVED seeing the sheep outside our window! We really enjoyed having tea by the fireplace and soaking in the peacefulness of the area. The breakfast was also more than we expected and we loved hearing about the history of the manor and hearing some fun Irish stories. We will definitely be coming back here to stay!

Nothing to complain about. The entire experience exceeded our expectations!

We were very surprised to find this beautifully restored gem.

The house is beautifully restored which is a great credit to the owner. I loved the artistic touches and the colourful floral arrangements. This home is cared for with great attention to detail. Every comfort, plenty of hot water and a tasty breakfast.

We were a little early and it took a while for Joyce to answer the door.I was beginning to think I had booked for the wrong day. There was a reason the cleaning lady didn’t show up and Joyce was busy cleaning the rooms and didn’t hear the bell. It’s a large rambling house

As they say about Mary Poppins, “Practically perfect in every way.”

EVERYTHING. Clean, comfortable, eclectic, architecturally interesting, secluded, close to the city, warm, inviting. Phenomenal hostess who was as charming as her home. Friendly, interesting, informative, great food. Hospitality with a capital “H”. A true gem. I considered this to be the jewel of all the BnB’s we stayed at.

Breakfast great! Hosts great! Location great! It is a rare experience to stay in a manor of this standard. The drive up to the property set's the scene for what you will see at the end.

A dream countryside escape

The property was stunning, the dream modern Irish manor experience. The photos don't quite do it justice! The breakfast was 10/10 and the location is very close to a nice trail!

NIce stay in nostalgic atmosphere

NIce stay in an authentic Irish building with a special atmosphere. Friendly, communicative and easy going hosts. Tasty breakfast in beautiful dining room on groundfloor with possibility of use of other rooms such as library, yoga and garden room.

5 star experience in this lovely manor home! Loved everything about the house and the exquisite grounds. We could watch sheep graze, open the windows for an amazing breeze, take a quiet walk, read a book in the library, or just wander the home marveling in the history and grandeur of this property. This is a wonderful spot to recharge and experience some peace and tranquility. The Hosts are so great and wish we could have visited more with them. Could not recommend more. We HAVE to come back someday soon!
