Rooms are decorated in a romantic southwestern style. The decor in the home compliments the Southwest exterior. Wood beam ceilings, hand-carved furniture, local and national art and artifacts complete the look in this warm and friendly atmosphere of casual elegance. The house is a one bedroom and has a new king size memory-foam mattress, a closet, dresser and television with cable. There is a full bath with sink and jacuzzi corner tub, cozy living room, newly refinished wooden floors, Navajo rugs and a sofa that pulls out to sleep one more. The private patio has seating for two to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails. La Posada de Taos maintains a lush courtyard that you are welcome to share during your stay. This is the second time we have stayed here. The casita is perfect for a couple. The king size bed is comfortable and the gas heater that looks like a wood burning stove makes the room so cozy.

The casita was adorable and the perfect location to the shops and restaurants in the plaza. We walked from the casita to the plaza each day, which was very convenient. Louisa met us as we were coming in and was extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this little casita. It was a quick stay but we throughly enjoyed the accommodations and thought highly of the decor that embodied colorful, New Mexican asthetic. The location and proximity to downtown was perfect to head out and enjoy some museums, galleries, shops and food!

This little Casita was perfect for our quick stay in Taos. We got in late and had a tiny bit of trouble finding the unit in the dark, but figured it out quickly. The courtyard is nice and the little casita was really cute. Little kitchenet with the basics - microwave, coffee, a few plates, mugs, glasses and some spoons. Some snacks and beverages in the fridge were a nice touch. I used the big tub to take a bath which was lovely (only issue was that I ran out of hot water before the tub was full, but it was enough to enjoy it). Bed was comfy and the place was quiet and peaceful! Close to town and parking was really easy. We had a good stay.

Unit was difficult to locate. We were lucky that we spotted the property manager walking through the alley to get help to enter the unit. Fireplace did not work. Other than the above problems, the unit was cozy and comfortable.

The casita La Casa was clean, nicely decorated, the whirlpool bath tub was lovely and the courtyard was enjoyable. However, the bed was extremely hard and very uncomfortable, the smoke detector had been removed from the bedroom, there was no TV in the livingroom and the TV in the bedroom wasn't working correctly. The bed and TV issues, combined with the arrival of bad weather, were a deal breaker and we left Taos a day earlier than expected.

Colorful quaint casita on charming grounds, quiet location, very convenient to center of town, comfortable bed, good water pressure in shower, quick response from managers. Only downside was that there was a lot of light in the bedroom at night and being sensitive to light, made it a little difficult to sleep. There are venetian blinds -- lot of light coming through -- maybe drapes could be put on windows to improve this. But overall, great place.

You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Taos. If you are looking for a quaint, quiet, yet centrally-located cottage, this is ideal. I would have given 5 stars for everything, but the little outdoor patio area needed a bit of cleaning. It wasn't bad, but not spotless like the casita was. Other that that, which is small, this is an absolute gem in the heart of Taos. When we come back, we will stay here again. Thank you!

Loved this place! So beautifully decorated, cheery, and colorful. So nice to have extras like coffee, mini fridge, microwave and creamer. Would highly recommend this place. Place has multiple casitas that would be ideal for a group get together. We'll be back!

Wonderful little place. It's a very pretty area and a cute little "mother-in-law suite" kinda house. We had an incident where me and my friend locked ourselves out late at night and the property manager was so nice and helpful with helping us back in. I certainly recommend this place!

I cannot say enough good things about the Casita. My husband and I had a wonderful time staying here. The property is beautiful with a shared garden and private patio for the Casita alone. The location is peaceful and quiet yet easily walkable to the Plaza. One of our favorite memories was the chiming of the church bells; you really feel like you have stepped back in time. Angela has done an incredible job decorating. Every where you turn, there are little touches that make you feel like you are immersed in the history of Taos. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our vacation after a stop in Colorado and are staying in another vacation rental also in La Posada de Taos. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, Angela and Kent!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint, adobe-style cottage. It's part of a larger posada, but is detached from the main building and has its own patio on the side. Really enjoyed the colorful decorations and the beautiful landscaping in the shared courtyard. The hot tub for two was amazing after mountain hikes. The bedroom is pretty large, but the living area is small and the kitchen is a microwave, small fridge, and a coffee maker, so plan accordingly. Short walk to shops and restaurants, and you'll hear the bells tolling the hours.

This was the cutest casita and immaculately clean! It was a perfect central location to explore the area even though the weather didn’t cooperate with our original plans. We still had fun and enjoyed our stay. Everything we could need was provided (even an extra blanket for the colder weather). Thanks for the coffee and snacks - we truly felt like valued guests. 😊
