The location was top. Just 3 minutes and you are in front of Cathedral. Then the whole apartment was amazing as well: the facilities, room space and etc. Please note that there is no air conditioning, just fan, but because of the breeze, we didn’t even need conditioning. Overall, 100% recommend for staying.

The access to the building was very easy with the code and instructions. the location was in a very central part of Alfama easily accessible by foot to many major attractions, bars, restaurants especially so close to the Miraduoro Santa Luzia which was so iconic. The provided fresh towels and fresh coffee packets each day and cleaned the room halfway of our 4 night stay. It was overall functional and sufficient for our stay. The views from the room had views of the water but maybe would try and stay on the 1st or 2nd floor to avoid the slanted ceiling but you would trade the views of the water I would imagine but likely not that big of a deal.
The room was on the 3rd floor and part of the ceiling was slanted and hit by head several times accidentally. There were ants all over the bathroom which was a nuisance. The AC did not cool the room very efficiently.

The host was extremely kind, communicative, and helpful throughout the entire stay, which we really appreciated. Their responsiveness and friendliness made the experience smoother.
We understand that this is Alfama and some level of noise comes with the neighborhood’s lively character, which is part of the experience. However, there are still improvements that could be made to better reduce the impact indoors. Unfortunately, beyond the location itself, the apartment is also in serious need of renovation and updating, as its condition did not fully meet expectations in terms of comfort.
