Beautiful new 2 bedroom 1 bathroom chalet tucked away in the Forrest Glenn subdivision located in Talkeetna, Alaska. The historic village of Talkeetna is nestled at the base of North America's tallest peak Mt. McKinley (Denali). Talkeetna has an outstanding panoramic view of the Alaska Range that can be enjoyed and photographed from several places as you wander through town, and discover what this unique location has to offer: Flightseeing, fishing, riverboat tours, float trips, hiking, nordic skiing, mushing, mountain climbing, ATV tours, snowmachine tours, and zipline tours, unique lodging, art galleries and gift shops, places to dine and have a locally brewed beer... and of course year-round frontier hospitality! Talkeetna is a place to enjoy no matter what time of the year! No smoking on premises, No pets. Your Safety is our #1 Concern! My 2nd Home, LLC was founded by a previous General Manager of a Wyndham Resort. She brought her extensive knowledge through years of training on customer safety to this business. The staff at My 2nd Home, LLC is always putting our guest's safety at the top of the list of priorities. We make sure every surface of the home is wiped down with commercial cleaners with bleach, paying special attention to items such as remote controls, doorknobs, cupboard handles, and anything within the home which are touched by hands on a regular basis. Our goal is for our guests to have a safe, enjoyable time staying at a My 2nd Home property, knowing that the home they are staying in has been cared for and cleaned by the best in the business.

Great house with everything we needed. Easy drive to Talkeetna and a base for a day trip to Denali National Park. Best views of the mountain were from overlook going into Talkeetna. House was well stocked and thoughtfully done. It was a great choice for our family of 6 adults and an infant.

Check-in process was easy which was great after a long day traveling. The shops in town were delightful. Just wish the King Salmon Season was not shut down early so we could have fished for them. Would definitely stay again if we have the opportunity.

There are neighbors close enough that you don't feel like you're completely isolated. But there's still enough distance between houses that you aren't butted up against neighbors. And it's dark enough at night to see the northern lights. The shower was amazing - one that you could stay in for days as the weight of the world is washed away from your shoulders. The internet based TV was perfect for watching documentaries about Alaska and crime dramas. We could cross country ski down the driveway and through the neighborhood. The local bakery is nothing short of amazing - try the brownies. They won't disappoint. We also caught some live music in town on Friday night and had a beer at Denali Brewing. While Talkeetna is known more for it's summer vacations, we found the winter to be a perfect time to visit.

This is our second yr to stay in this beautiful cozy cabin. This is our dream cabin in the woods if we lived here! We feel so at home here. Always clean and fully stocked. Always a great stay here a definite must!!❤️

The cabin has simple layout and worked well for our family of 5. When we were at the cabin, the rain, misquitos and tall grass kept us mostly inside but we did enjoy hanging out on the deck in the evenings after dinner.

The house was in a very quiet wooded area that was close enough to Talkeetna to easily get there and back. It was well furnished, and we enjoyed the cornhole boards on the property. What a wonderful place to stay! It was clean and had very comfortable beds with a sleeper sofa and roll-away bed. It was great to have a washer and dryer, as well as a dishwasher. You could tell the owners had added special touches (like lighting in the closets) and a nice decor. I would love to rent this home again, if I was in the area.
