Superb

Hotel is close to a large road, but when you drive through the gate you find this hidden gem in very beautiful surroundings. The restaurant serves great food, and the pool area is also very nice

The hotel is located in the outskirts of Naples (not many shops or restaurants near by)

An amazing time had at San Cristoforo

The grounds, the house, the staff who were very helpful and friendly. That the hotel was helpful to set up some excursions in the area and to the volcano itself (as we were very interested in getting to the top of mount vesuvio). The restaurant was great! Good selection of wine and the best breadsticks ever. Fine dining and expensive of course, but an amazing experience to try!

We liked it all! But just so you are aware the hotel is a car/taxi ride outside of Naples, in the next 'area' so it may be hard to get to places, although the hotel has a shuttle service to their closest train station which is very helpful- as we did a day trip to Pompeii etc.

great place for short stay

great location, accommodation in a beautiful park, the main building combines history with the present, the great pool was a joy, unfortunately only open until 18:30. breakfast excellent, hot breakfast with extra charge the rooms in the depandance where we stayed were of good quality and tastefully furnished, only the small cellar window near the ceiling surprised us, a hatch that opens; a note at the accommodation is indicated, but somehow we could not imagine it

Disappointed with the amenities

The immediate surroundings. Beautiful gardens and the swimming pool. Great staff.

It was way out of the city, which is good if you have all facilities at the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel has only one restaurant which is open in the morning - for breakfast and evening - for diners . Does not cater for people with allergies. There is a small outdoor area near the swimming pool where you can eat lunch, but not very helpful at 38C. Rooms have no sitting area and our junior suite had only 1 chair and no table.So we couldn’t even eat at our room…. Basically the photos you can see in the booking.com website are a bit deceptive, as there is no space for a couple to sit and have a coffee at the junior suite. We had to go to a nicer and after area if the city for food and coffees and each time we had to pay over 30 Eauroplink for a taxi.

Hidden gem just outside of Naples

Fabulous hotel with amazing gardens

The grounds were amazing. The staff lije guieseppe, Eric and francesco were brilliant. The breakfast was super. The pool was gorgeous.

The pool lunch menu was limited. The dinner menu again was rather limited.

It was a perfect stay.

It was the best hotel on our Italian trip. From the beginning to end all of the staff were helpful and professional. Our room was large, clean, very comfortable, quiet, - a perfect place to rest after a tiring day of sightseeing. The hotel feels like a palace and is located on a huge, park-like property. Our stay was in December and the lobby and the front of the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Breakfast had a lot of choices. It was a perfect stay.

A beautiful place to stay, at a good price (we stayed off-season). The breakfast was excellent, as was the very helpful and friendly service from Francesco. We will certainly return.

Perfect location and experience for Napoli/Pompeii/Ercolano

Exactly as reviewed. We wanted somewhere close to Pompeii and to Naples, and this fabulous hotel in the middle of gorgeous ground was perfect. Took a room with Vesuvius and ocean view. Couldn't get enough. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Didn't try to pool....too busy. Special shout out to Enzio for recommending a dinner option, and to Francesco for checking up if and when Vesuvius park would reopen, and details about how to climb. Perfect stay!

That we had to leave! On to the next planned stay

The location was very good. The staff was very helpful to recommend things to do or places to eat. Especially Ezio helped us by answering to our questions , finding a way to arrive to Naples, recommending good restaurants.

We had a problem with the air conditioning in our room. The receptionist try to solve without success and offered us to change the room but it was too late and we were too tired to do it.

Francesco was great, breakfast was complete and fresh, pool area is comfy.

Neighbourhood is a bit messy, everyday weddings are bit too much, could be better with sustainability; you'll get new towels and soap everyday, whether you want it or not.

Exceptional grounds, beautiful gardens and surrounds. Pool was delightful and always space for me. The staff across the hotel were helpful and friendly, it was extremely laid back and relaxing. The restaurant serves incredible food, ate there every night - hit the spot every time. Would highly recommend.

The only thing that could have been improved is that one morning I headed for breakfast at 7.30am, which is when it's served from, and wasn't fully set up until about 7.50am - the delay in getting food/drink caused me to be late for a scheduled event.

helpful shuttle and lovely hotel driver offers 3 trips in the morning down to the town but no options late aftrrnoon or evening making dinner options very very limited as taxis are astronomical for thr smallest journey and no where accessible by foot

That was one of the most welcome surprises of our trip to Italy. Very well designed and modern yet cosy, this hotel shows the tremendous effort put by his owners and staff over the years. Starting with the renovation and finishing with the garden and different other amenities, the obsessive attention to detail reveals itself in every corner. And then there's the staff.... A great place for a family staying. Staff is amazing and do whatever it takes to meet the highest service standards. The chef is doing magic in the kitchen what will satisfy every foodie lover. Top place for all possible staying inlc sightseeing as the location of the hotel is very convenient.

The hotel is stunning! What we loved best was the staff. They were exceptional.

The staff was incredible! They were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. They ended up upgrading us to a larger room when we arrived at no charge. They also helped us organize our PCR test that we needed to take 24 hours before we left Italy. They were also detailed on how to get to the train station, which trains to take, which restaurants to go to. For us tourists, they went above and beyond to make us feel the most comfortable and taken care of.

The location is ok. This area is not in a touristy part of town and not the best walkability. You will need to rent a taxi every time you want to leave, which can quickly add up. However, we did choose this hotel because we originally thought we were going to rent a car while in Italy. If you do end up renting a car, this will be the perfect place because they have a great parking.
