Located in Lower Grand Lagoon, this lovely house for $400 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Heated Pool. Make yourself at home! Bella Casa is a laid-back beach house with an open floor plan. The spacious living area offers comfortable lounging for the entire family, even your furry family members! Pets Welcome with approval and fee. Located only one block from the beach, you’ll have your toes in the sugar-white sand in no time! And when you’ve had enough fun in the sun, relax and enjoy your evening cocktail by the private pool. Catch up on that much-needed rest and relaxation with plentiful sleeping accommodations for up to 10 people: King Guest Suite located on the 1st floor offers a walk-in closet, built-in desk & bookcase, and private entry to the 1st floor full bath. (Sleeps 2) King Masters located on the 2nd floor. Easily organize your belongings in the spacious walk-in closet. Wind down on the private balcony overlooking the swimming pool and then fully relax as you soak in the Jacuzzi tub. Enjoy your favorite TV show on the Flat Screen before slumbering off to dreamland. The Master ensuite features a granite vanity, separate toilet room, and Jacuzzi tub with separate shower. (Sleeps 2) The King Guest Suite, also located on the 2nd floor, features a walk-in closet, built-in desk & bookcase, television, and private bath. (Sleeps 2) Bunkroom with wet bar & half bath located on the 3rd floor. The bunk bed sleeps 2 children (not suitable for adults). A day bed with a trundle also sleeps 2, which is suitable for adults. From Bella Casa walk or bike (1/3 mile) to the must-see St. Andrews State Park nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and the Grand Lagoon. St. Andrews Park is the second most visited park in Florida and is the first park to win the prestigious Awards of being named the “Best State Park in Florida” twice in a row and the “Best Beach in America” by Dr. Beach. We had the most wonderful time! The kids loved the pool, the adults loved the access to the beach, the rooftop deck, and Patches Pub! All the beds were comfortable and we would love to stay here again!

We had a very small check-in issue but the host was quickly able to fix it. Beautiful home. I absolutely love the shower in the master bath.
The pool was perfect since the ocean was really rough for the younger kids. My 3 year old actually learned to swim and basically lived in the pool!
Perfectly stocked kitchen had everything we needed and then some.
Far enough away from the craziness but close enough to not drive far.
I highly recommend this house!

Location was excellent with the beach around the corner. Property was clean and comfortable. We had 8 in our group. Very spacious. Kitchen was equipped well. A few minor issues but Chris was able to resolve for us. Chris is a great host and responsive to any communication. This property would definitely be on our list to check for when we return back to the area.

This was the perfect place for our family of 8. There was great sleeping space and bathrooms. Relaxing by the private pool was awesome, and it was a very close walk to the beach. Also, we loved the area, with plenty of things within walking distance, including St. Andrews State Park being very close. We would definitely stay here again!

The cottages were close ,but nicely decorated and clean..the pool heater didn’t work except the last 11/2 days of stay..but some of the kids went in anyway.. very close to beach which was located near a beautiful area state park.. All in all a good experience.

House and location were perfect. Less than a block to the beautiful beach. Lots to do within walking distance. Loved the 3rd floor sundeck, it had a perfect view of the sunsets without having to go anywhere.

Cons:
1. We rented this house because it had a heated pool. We paid extra for that and paid to have the pool heated. On our way to the beach, we heard from the property manager that the pool heater was broken and they were working on it. It was never fixed. We requested a refund for the cost of heating the pool and a 25% refund of the cost of the rental since we would not have rented it but for the pool. They said they would look into it but never got back to us.
2. The communication before, during and after the rental was a bit infrequent.
I think it has the potential to be a great rental but right now I feel ripped off.

The house was very nice and we loved the pool. It’s very close to the beach so I wasn’t exhausted carrying my stuff back and forth. We will be back for sure.

The beach was a short walk from the property, which was enjoyable. The inside was very spacious. There were some things that needed fixed on the property. The house cleaner did not do a good job. Towels were left damp that we were to use and we were missing toilet paper/paper towels, etc.

Tropical storm Claudia made the weather for the week a little wet, but the house was great. Close to the beach, good food at the bar at end of the block, great view from the decks. Our group size varies from year to year, but next trip with similar number of people we would likely look to stay here again.

Upon arrival, the unit had not been cleaned. After unpacking the first 30 minutes of our stay, the bottoms of our feet were black. The clean towels were in the dryer. We had to rewash dishes out of the cabinet because most had large chunks of food stuck on them. There were small hairs everywhere in the large master bathroom shower and jetted tub. This had to be washed out prior to giving our niece a bath. A baggie with a bar of soap was left in the main level shower and the shower curtain was covered in what looked like black mold. There was poop left in the upstairs (loft) bathroom. I attempted to notify the property manager via the number listed on VRBO and it was incorrect and didn’t match the contact information in the home. This was all ridiculous given the steep cleaning fee. We skimmed the top of the pool because there was debri floating when we arrived, didn’t look like a big deal. After 2 days, we realized the pool pump had never turned on. Our pool was so cloudy and nasty and didn’t look anything like the ones on either side of us. You couldn’t see the outline of blue tiles on the pool steps clearly because it was so cloudy. I contacted the property manager Chris who was readily available. He assessed the issue and sent a pool repairman out who said they would not be able to replace the pool pump until 2 days before our departure (1-week stay). For the meantime, he said he didn’t want it to “turn into a swamp” so he gave us a cup full of shock to clean the pool ourselves until it was repaired. He said the kids could get in 1 hour after shocking it but we didn’t let them because we didn’t know if it was safe with no pump. It took all day to fix on Thursday and we left on Saturday. We got a clean pool for a little over 1 day. During this time, the pool light would never come on so there was no nighttime swimming either. The property manager said to call him and we would discuss the cleanliness/housekeeping issues. I did, he didn’t answer. I have since messaged and texted him and nothing has been addressed. Instead, he gave us a $8 car voucher/family pass to the kiddie pool at St. Andrews park on a double red flag day. It was double red flags at the ocean for half our stay, so it was a bummer to not be able to use the pool. This was the whole reason we picked this home. Not fair. Especially when you have to clean, empty trash cans, and start laundering towels upon departure. I would not recommend staying here.

This was an excellent property. Easy walk to the beach, flat beach access ramp ( Important when lugging beach carts and wagons) and walkable to restaurant and shops. Mainly houses on this end so the beach was not crowded. Plenty of room in the house, excellent view from rooftop deck.

We loved the location and very much enjoyed our 1-month stay. The Great PartThe location is awesome. A very short walk to the beach, terrific sandy beach and beautiful ocean breezes.The Good PartThe layout of the house is good, with 3 nice bedrooms. The master bedroom balcony and rooftop sun area are wonderful. The loft is fine, but not really usable as a bedroom unless it's for younger kids. There's no door for privacy and it tends to be noisy. The Less Good PartThe door was locked and we waited 30 minutes to get in upon arrival. Given the extra charges for each 15 minutes that guest departure is delayed, that didn't sit well.The house was not clean upon arrival. Fingernail / toenail clippings on the furniture, sand all over the floor, dirty bathrooms. This was not "normal" cleaning -- much less, extra cleaning as a precaution against Covid. We documented it with photos and asked for a refund of the cleaning fee, but 5 days later, the manager has not responded despite repeated attempts to reach him.There are a number of maintenance issues with the house, some minor (lightbulbs burnt out, broken drawers and blinds), some major (pool has a leak, pool pump broken, dishwasher and clothes dryer not working properly. We made the property owner aware of the issues.Bottom line -- it's a great location and nice property place for a reasonable price. With more attention to detail and better upkeep, it could be a 5-star rental.
