Many of the city’s most famous attractions are within walking distance, including the Duomo (7 min), the Basilica of Santa Maria (10 min), and The Church of San Maurizio (8 min). The area is full of restaurants and bars for a Milan-style evening out and "aperitivo". Buses are just around the corner (3 min). Our local interior designer has given this apartment an elegant, upscale vibe. Two plush bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen will make you feel at home, and the large living room is a great place to relax. Premium amenities include a Nespresso machine, free WiFi, cable TV, hotel beds and linens, and high-end toiletries. Perfect for a family or group of friends, this apartment offers royal accommodation in the heart of the city. Many of the city’s most famous attractions are within walking distance, including the Duomo (11 min), the Basilica of Santa Maria (20 min), and the Church of San Maurizio (11 min). The area is full of restaurants and bars for a Milan-style evening out and "aperitivo". Buses are just around the corner (3 min). Milan Linate is the closest airport to the city center (8 km away). It’s a small airport so you will only find close destinations (mostly Italy and Europe) and flights largely operated by national carriers such as Alitalia, Air France and Lufthansa. A few low-cost Easyjet flights do arrive here but not many. Malpensa is Milan’s largest airport. It’s over 50 km from the city center and 40 km to Rho Fiera. It will definitely be your destination if you’re on a long-haul flight, and it’s also the hub of choice for several low cost airlines including Wizzair, Easyjet and Vueling. It has two terminals; Terminal 2 is easyJet and Wizz Air’s kingdom, Terminal 1 is for everything else. This one isn’t actually in Milan! Bergamo airport is located 50 km east of Milan. However, it has become known as ‘Milan Bergamo’ thanks to low cost airlines (Ryanair first and foremost) that use it as their hub of choice. Tickets to Bergamo are usually cheaper than Linate or Malpensa, and good connections to the city make this airport a good choice, especially for budget travelers.

Brera is a perfect place to stay in Milan! Re: the actual apartment I must say I agree with the person who said the photos were definitely staged. The apartment is spacious but is definitely in need of a renovation. We were two people in this 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment. if we had been 4 people we would all have had to share one bathroom as the second one was not useable. The shower head was not functioning - this to me is a very simple fix and a complete miss. The main bathroom required at least two towels on the floor to soak up the water that sprays everywhere. Messy but not insurmountable. The kitchen was fine. What I could not understand is why there were 5 places to throw items away without any explanation as to what goes where. Was one for recycling? Other garbage? Very confusing. Please also be aware that there is literally nothing in the kitchen to offer for what I would consider basic items. For instance salt/pepper, basic spices/perhaps some olive oil? I did not see any water in the fridge that others mentioned. There were 4 pods to make coffee but no explanation on where to get more. The main bedroom has a queen size bed - it was extremely uncomfortable - perhaps the addition of a pillow top mattress pad would have helped. We had to keep doors closed as we were inundated with mosquitos. We could not figure where they were coming in from as the windows were definitely tightly closed from what we could tell. We have stayed in apartments all over Europe. I would rate this one as a 3 for the actual accommodations and a 5 for location.

Wow what a perfect Milan stay!!
We loved the apartment and felt like we were locals. We walked to cafes and restaurants for all of our meals and enjoyed seeing the architecture and art in the city. We hope to go back for a much longer stay!!

Location was great. Owner had a fabulous photographer and stager for the listing. Beds were uncomfortable. Water from the shower leaked onto the floor through a hole in the sealant. Materials touted responsive 24/7 customer service. However, when the deadbolt lock on the front door became jammed very late at night locking us in, the supposed 24/7 customer service was poor. The first two calls to customer service resulted in an Italian recording and then being hung up. Emails requesting a call back were unanswered. Finally customer service texted back. We were explicitly informed to stay calm and someone would come by in the morning. Being locked into an older 3rd story (European 2nd story) apartment with no window or door exit was not acceptable. But customer service insisted no one could assist us before morning. After two hours of working on the deadbolt, we finally unlocked it. 24/7 customer service was a myth
