the perfect place to stay In beautiful Portland.

Beautifully curated and in such good taste. Varied home made breakfast made mostly from food grown on the property. Amazing views, and relaxing terrace, peaceful and in tune with nature, but close enough to all attractions in Portland. Hosts who’ve put their soul into the place and are really knowledgeable about the local area. Felt relaxed from the moment we arrived.

Exceptional

Birgit and Richard are amazing!! Wonderful view and fresh breakfast. The bed was very confortable we have slept so well. This is the highlight of our stay in Jamaica. :) Thank you for your hospitality Sonia and Tamara

The visit was pleasant, the place beautiful with a gorgeous view and kind hosts.

The view was stunning, the rooms were spacious, clean, lots of natural light and a lovely ambience. The hosts were helpful with directions and suggestions for local sights and experiences. The place was thoughtfully appointed , I so appreciated the option of a moka pot coffee maker. As well there was a well stocked selection of beverages. Ingrid was so thoughtful and helpful and even offered that we could pick some of her garden herbs for cooking with :) We especially loved our visit to Nanny Falls, near Moore Town; a hike, history lesson and a swim in the waterfall all in one trip. Enjoyed the market in Port Antonio, and French Mans Cove Beach, beautiful. My husband keeps reminiscing about having his car washed in the river while enjoying a cup of soup at a roadside stand.

Wonderful!

Absolutely fabulous! The apartment itself was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and really comfortable. The views are amazing with a clear panoramic of the Caribbean and the Blue Mountains. I would definitely recommend the breakfast. It was the best meal we had with authentic Jamaican cuisine and fruit picked on the property. But best of all was the hospitality of Birgit and Richard. We scheduled 4 of their tours (Kingston, Rio Grand Rafting, Frenchman Cove, Monkey Island snorkeling). We couldn’t have been happier! They provided local and authentic experiences with well trained guides. They also did a great job of slightly customizing the experience when they understood what we enjoyed.

Because of the beautiful mountain location the road is a little tough but Richard met us in town to assure we found the place easily. This same great location also makes wifi a little unstable. It was fine for general access but don’t plan to download huge files :) My satellite hot spot worked perfectly!

Feel at home

Birgit, Richard and Rustie are so lovely and friendly. They bring you wherever you want and show you the real Jamaica.The villa is not so easy to reach because is up in the hill, but the view on Port Antonio’s bay pays you back. We enjoyed so much the breakfast, so full of typical jamaican foods.

Beautiful stay with beautiful hosts.

Booked this for my parents. Fair to say that they loved their stay! They couldn’t praise Birgit and Richard (their hosts) enough. They took a number of trips with Richard in and around Port Antonio/ Kingston and really appreciated his local knowledge and generosity in sharing his experiences of Jamaica life/ culture. Having listened to my parents ringing endorsement, I plan to visit Friends with my partner shortly and also expect my parents to return in the future.
