Beautiful old house! It is a really charming place with wonderful hosts and a great breakfast. It's easy to find with a big yard nice view out back.
There is little to no sound insulation so we ended up being awoken around 6am because another couple was having an early breakfast. Even though they tried to be quiet, the clinking of dishes might as well been right outside our door.

We had a lovely welcome here by the owners. The room was comfortably big, with a couch and lots of space to put our stuff. Nice sturdy bed as well. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh products and fruit. All was very clean as well. We had a great time here.
The ceiling is somewhat low, which was just fine for me (i’m 1.85m), but if you’re very long it might be uncomfortable. And maybe it’s just a tad pricy given the shared bathroom. But other than that, this was a really nice stay!

Flexibility on arrival as we arrived late. The breakfast was great and substantal. Almost had trouble finishing it. There were choices for the homemade breakfast, which were asked the night before. Jams were all made by the owner and were so tasty! Even though one room had a shared bathroom, it was only shared with one other room. The internal bathroom was beautiful. The rocking chair rocked! All details were nice and made it very homey. Owners were helpful and friendly.

Great stay.. first on our 6000km East Coast journey😎😊.. the breakfast was amazing !!! Great hosts and very home atmosphere ...beautiful location by the river ...great for morning coffee , meditation but also for nice evening dinner at the nearest beautiful town ..we loved everything about the stay !!!

La Veilleuse is clearly well-maintained by the owners who take their affairs to heart. Great reception and superb rooms. Conveniently located for our travelling purpose.
Although conveniently located, being along a main arterial road reduces ambiance. Parking spaces need some markings.

We had a wonderful stay: the hosts were really nice and it was a pleasure to talk to them, the room was clean, big and well-equipped and the breakfast was exceptional. I recommend to stay here!

There is nothing that we did not like but we would probably not stay there if we were pressed for time as it is quite far from the Trans Canada highway.
