Place to stay in Uvita

Great Place - book it if you can. Super friendly owner. Small place, but rooms are well thought out and very clean. Very nice pool. Excellent value for money.

Excellent Stay

This guesthouse is beautiful little place just off the main road and is run by two ex-pats from Canada and Jamaica, Mike and Paul. There are perhaps 8 rooms. Breakfast is available on request and is a good size with fruit, juice and main plus bread made on the property. The common area is well set out with a small pool and water feature. It is close to the forest and we had a monkey come by on our first day while we had breakfast! The staff are friendly and helpful (including the cleaner/gardener if you are a Spanish speaker) regarding local sights and eating places etc. There is good WiFi throughout but no TV, which for us is a plus! We did decide to stay an extra day which we were able to sort out after we arrived and wasn't planned and used the extra day to visit the Nauyaca waterfalls which is definitely worth the trip if you have a car but you need to get there before last entry at 2pm as it closes a 5ish. There is a 4 o 5 Km walk or you can take a 4x4 from the entrance there and back for an additional cost.

The hotel was fine and could not really find fault with it. It was close to the road but once inside you couldn't hear it and did not affect our stay. One thing you need to be aware of (not related to the hotel) is that the Manual Antonio National Park has had its max number of visitors reduced from 3000 to 1300 per day! When we got there no tickets were available for the next 3 weeks!! And this was the low season! You will need to book on-line well in advance on the National Park webpage if this is on your to-do list. However, despite this set back it didn't affect our time there as there is quite a lot to fill your time and nature seems to come to you, for example we came across a small group of Macaws (Guacamayas) in the downtown area!!

Great place! Super cute. Breakfast was terrific. They have a great little reception area and are close to the bus stop.

We didn't have a blanket in our room so there where only sheets on the bed...but it was no big deal.

it was our first time there and the location and assistance from Mike made it a great stay.

such a great venue, quite and limited number of rooms . it was like having the entire place to yourself. Mike was fantastic and made you feel like you’re at home.

Pleasant/ adequate , but a rip off as room was not serviced and linen not replaced despite paying the same room rate

lovely tropical gardens as described. clean pool and jacuzzi and patio all well kept Good breakfast room was clean on arrival- issued with a bath towel & pool towel each & sarong for the beach. staff polite and friendly

room & bathroom not cleaned at all during a 4 night stay and this is not mentioned at the time of booking. had to ask for replacement towels and additional coffee for the room no storage at all in the room a lot of traffic noise especially early morning which does disturb sleep.

the room was very small and as it was very near the road it suffered from a lot of noise.

Had a great stay!

A very nicely done garden just off the main road, but no noise coming in. Bus stop right at the door, easy to get into both Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Comfy covered community area next to pool and sunbeds. Great and varied breakfast. Hotel next door is great for food/ cocktails with ocean view.

a great little Oasis in Manuel Antonio. Mike & Paul the owners are great hosts and make you feel right at home. the whole place is spotless with a great little pool and lounge area which is stylish done. nice little optional breakfast in the morning.

it was like a piece of heaven. The two owners of the property actually run it and they put in special care to make sure we are taken care of. They were willing to help us and all her travel questions and needs. The ambiance in the hotel was out of this world. I would highly recommend to see the beautiful beaches in Antonio in Manuel and stay here you will not regret it

I like that it was very peaceful and the music the owners played made it hard to leave

Lovely oasis in the middle of Quepos.

Great location. Easy, quick access to the activity in Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. Beautifully done boutique hotel, very nice, helpful owners, delicious breakfast.

Superb

A lovely oasis to relax and recharge. A trip to Manuel Antonio, Quepos and the surrounding beaches can easily done by using the public bus that stops a few meters from the entrance gate. The home-made breakfast is delicious and changes every day. Beds are very comfortable and the small studios have everything you need.

Excellent location with very nice facilities

Excellent location. The espadilla beach is easily accessible by bus, same for Manuel Antonio National Park. Very nice staff with great advices and support for activities. The studio in which we stayed was brand new and very confortable. The big plus is the pool and hot tub after a long day at the beach … I would highly recommend.

Great place

Very nice place, everything is clean and there is much attention given to details. You can find some beautiful paintings in the room, we enjoyed that. The pool and jacuzzi are truly clean, the garden is very cozy, very relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast is great and the hosts are very helpful, has reserved a tour through them and had a super guide into Manuel Antonio.

Lovely, restful, peaceful

Mike and Paul were lovely hosts. The B&b is all that it was described- elegant, quiet, with delicious breakfasts. Our room was impeccably clean and lovely. We would highly recommend!!

I’m confused at how this property was rated an excellent location. It’s about a 30-40 minute walk up a steep hill to town, 45 minute walk to the park, nothing at all around the property itself…
