difficult to walk anywhere

We had a really lovely stay at GAIA and overall had a great experience. The team were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, and having a concierge service was particularly useful. Johansy was always quick to respond to our WhatsApp messages and helped us with any questions or arrangements we had. One of the absolute highlights was the food at La Luna Restaurant. The quality was exceptional and genuinely exceeded our expectations - some of the best food we had during our trip. We were really blown away by how good it was. Our room was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked really well, and the housekeeping service was excellent. We also really liked the small touch of being able to choose our preferred shampoo, shower gel or moisturising cream. The infinity pools are beautiful and have wonderful views, and we loved seeing all of the iguanas around the property! Another major highlight for us was the GAIA Scarlet Macaw tour. We were lucky enough to see lots of macaws, which was an incredible experience. The conservation work GAIA is doing to help protect and preserve scarlet macaws was actually one of the main reasons we chose to stay here, so being able to learn more about the project and see the birds was very special. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful surroundings, fantastic food, lovely pools, excellent service

The only small point we would mention is that it may be worth double-checking the details of some of the activities before booking through Gaia. We had booked a jet ski tour which was advertised to us as including snorkelling/dolphin/whale watching, but on the day we discovered that the operator no longer offered the snorkelling nor the dolphin/whale watching element. We were a little disappointed at the time, although we still ended up having a great day regardless. It would therefore be helpful if the activity information could be kept fully up to date. Whenever we did have any questions or concerns, however, the GAIA team were extremely helpful in dealing with them.

This is an amazing place in Costa Rica, especially in Manuel Antonio. It is modern, comfortable, and very secure. I had the pleasure of having Stephany as my personal concierge. She was exceptionally friendly, attentive, professional, and made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The only recommendation I would make concerns the hotel’s credit card policy. During check-in, the hotel took photos of both the front and back of my credit card using a cellphone, capturing all of the card’s sensitive information, including the CVC security code. From a security and privacy standpoint, I do not believe this is an appropriate practice. Most hotels around the world simply authorize a security deposit or place a pre-authorization (hold) on the card, which is then finalized or released at check-out. Storing complete credit card information on a mobile phone raises concerns about how this sensitive information is stored, protected, who has access to it, and when it is deleted. Aside from this issue, my overall experience was excellent, and I would happily stay here again.

The staff were all great and view from the top deck was amazing at sunset. The issue for us was that we had expected luxury 5 star, and the standard just didn’t meet those expectations.

The property was tired in many areas, the pool was not anywhere near as attractive as the photos, the top bar area was not anywhere near 5 star standards. We left after one night as it just wasn’t up to par for our honeymoon.
