Great accommodation & wonderful people

We had a wonderful stay (12 nights) at the River Breeze Villa. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a small separate area featuring a kitchen and a large bathroom. Both the room and the entire property were impeccably maintained at all times. Ruchira & Pradeep are the absolute best hosts one can imagine—so incredibly attentive, accommodating, and warm. We would be delighted to return one day.

The best stay during my visit to Sri Lanka

River Breeze Villa in Bentota is an absolute delight! The serene location, impeccable hospitality, and charming ambiance make it a perfect getaway. Its a wonderfully maintained villa with very spacious rooms. The owner Pradeep greeted us with a refreshing drink upon arrival, arranged tuk for travelling nearby tourists attraction and arranged our return travel to Colombo. His friend Harish gave us an amazing and unforgettable Boat Safari. Highly recommended!

Beautiful villa and comfortable stay with friendly staff.

The rooms and bathrooms were spotless and well designed. Beds were comfortable, and furnishings were thoughtful and useful. Beautiful courtyard gardens and pool. Ruchira and Pradeep were very friendly and helpful.

The location is a little out of the way, not a problem for us since we had a vehicle, but not walking distance to amenities.

Wished we could have stayed longer

Such a hidden gem, photos don't do it justice. It's an absolute steal at the current price per night, it would also be perfect for a long term stay too. The staff were great, they made it one of our favorite stays in Sri Lanka. Thanks

If you visit Bentota, absolutely go to River Breeze!

The beauty of the place was only equalled by the incredible and profound kindness of the hosts, who went above and beyond to make every single thing perfect (from our arrival at the station to the surprise juices and welcome meal, train bookings, visits & tour advice in the room and spotless cleanliness all over…). A brother and sister so hard working, attentive and sweet we will remember them fondly! The villa is absolutely gorgeous: spacious, so clean, amazing pool exposed in the sun… We had bikes that helped us go around wherever and whenever we wanted - greatly appreciated! The room/apartment itself is incredible. Bedroom with comfortable bed, intimate terrasse in the garden to have meals and drinks at, loads of space, beautiful bathroom, kitchen to allow us to make our own foods, wardrobe… The way to the beach is so lovely and wild, we greatly appreciated our walks/bike rides to get there every day.

The best place to stay in Sri Lanka. Absolutely amazing family that owns the place - they are ready to help with everything you might need. We stayed at this Villa for a long time and we’re absolutely satisfied with our experience.

If you are looking for long term accommodation this is a great option. The room is new and modern. Internet optics STL. Good table and chairs both in the room and on the balcony. Very quiet. If you need the Internet to work during a power outage in the country, I advise Dialog SIM, it works better than STL SIM. We cooked at home. Large refrigerator. The villa is super clean, cleaned every day. The food in the villa is delicious. Ordered a seafood dinner and enjoyed it. We took a boat trip along the Bentota River to the mangrove lagoons, saw a crocodile, monitored lizards, monkeys, chameleons. Very kind tour guide. We took a tuk-tuk to the supermarket. Payment is possible in rupees at the rate of the local central bank. A pool is under construction. In the evening they bring spring from mosquitoes. Responsive and friendly family. Any request or issue is resolved immediately.

Only one burner on the stove. Far from the beach on foot, 25 minutes walk.

The manager was very nice. The room was amazing and the bathroom was great. Everything well decorated in a beautiful quiet area. No doubt that this was the most beautiful and confortable hotel we stairs in all Sri Lanka. Also they are going to have a pool soon so it will be even better.

Lovely stay at a beautiful location.

Very friendly host family. We loved the breakfast and the dinner. Everything was extremely clean. The area is beautiful and very quiet.

Superb

The owners were so cute, they gave us free coconuts when we came. It was so delisious and nice. The breakfast was good as well. They helped us to find bike for rent for a good price.

Unfortunately internet connection wasn't stable. It doesn't work most of the time. The cold water ended twice in a week, but after about 1 hour it was working again.

Amazing

We absolutely loved our stay. The apartment is super clean, everything looks new and shiny, the kitchen has everything that we needed, the water in the bathroom is hot and has strong pressure. Also at the day we arrived the owner of the villa, Ruchira, organised for us a very delicious dinner. And the food in general at this villa tastes great. Ruchira and Pradeep helped us with any question that we had, they are very lovely and kind people. We are positively shocked with this villa, especially after living in another places here at Sri Lanka - this one is absolutely best, for the price that you pay you are getting so much more!
