About this cabin rental

Situated in Oklahoma, this attractive cabin for $211 per night is a great choice for your next trip. 📸 Check us out on TikTok and Instagram for more incredible views: @bearcreekvacations Hey! You’ve made it to Bella Vista where you can be in seclusion while you swing on the patio next to the fire, taking in views at this little, eclectic cabin. Sounds awesome, right? But, please read the description in its entirety to ensure this special and unique place is for you! Bella Vista is one of only four off-grid cabins situated on 80 acres over looking Broken Bow Lake! Because of its location, not only will you avoid extra town taxes and fees upon booking, but Bella Vista also provides an incredible retreat from hustle and bustle of the big city. You get the best of both worlds! Surrounded on three sides by National Forest, you will have very few neighbors. Decorated in an eclectic boho style with furniture imported from Indonesia, some reclaim wood and a wine barrel kitchen island that doubles as a table, Bella Vista provides breathtaking lake views from the master bedroom, great room and outdoor living space. Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished, one bedroom, one bath cabin. Bella Vista is entirely off-grid. We produce our own power, water (well), hot water and have our own septic system. We are 100% green and still have all the luxuries of home! Because we are green; however, we do have to choose which luxuries we would like to have. In our efforts to conserve energy, we have decided to opt out of bath and hot tubs in all of our mountain cabins. We also have have a filter, but the well water has iron in it, so please bring bottled water if this makes you uncomfortable. ○ Bedroom 1: King master bedroom and Twin bed and Double sofa bed located down the hall in living room to accommodate second couple or kiddos ○ Bathroom 1: Full bathroom with walk-in shower 🚨 We realize that this is where most like to stop reading, but we ask that you please scroll a little more to review the important information for the drive in and more! 🚨 ✨ DRIVE IN / ACCESS ✨ The mountain cabins sit 5 miles off of Highway 259 and is accessed by US Forest Service roads. It’s a beautiful drive and we oftentimes see white tail deer, turkey, and birds of prey including red tail hawks and various owls! You will need a vehicle with some clearance as well as a bit of driving skill to make it in. 4WD and/or AWD is NOT necessary, but helpful. → We strongly suggest: ○ a small, medium or large SUV ○ any size truck ○ a crossover → We strongly advise against: ○ a minivan ○ a sedan or coupe The first 2 miles of the drive are easy and you can drive 25 mph. The remaining 3 miles are slower and requires some attention. You will cross 4 or 5 small creeks on the way in. Water is rarely more than 4 inches deep. The roads are rocky and bumpy, but will not ever be muddy. There are also grades up to 12% on gravel roads. This means you will travel up the mountain until you have reached our mountain top. Don't have a vehicle that meets the requirements, but still want to visit? We have partnered with Marc at Red Dirt Car Service and have several happy guests that have already used this transportation service! Please send an inquiry for more information. ✨ TECHNOLOGY & CELL SERVICE ✨ Bella Vista now has AT&T Internet and there is cell phone service! Verizon and AT&T work best, while Sprint and T-Mobile are limited. There are no TVs or cable. You will need to bring your own entertainment and pre-download your movies on your own device before arriving. Bear Creek Vacations is not responsible for reliability of internet or outages from service provider. WiFi is provided as a convenience only and is not integral to the use the property. No refund of payments shall be given for outages, content, lack of content, speed, access problems, lack of knowledge of use or personal preference regarding services. ✨ BOATS, TRAILERS & ATVs, oh my! ✨ → Boats & Trailers: Please do not try to bring a boat up to any of our cabins on the mountain! You will likely regret it, we promise! 😉 All jokes aside, Beavers Bend Marina has slips that you can rent for your stay and it’s super convenient to leave your boat in the water. They can also provide a place to leave your trailer! → ATVs: You can ride straight into the Ouachita National Forest from our property! Please check with the US Forest Service for all laws regarding ATV riding. It’s possible for a group of riders to rack up several thousand dollars in fines. Bear Creek Vacations will not be held responsible for any tickets, violations or accidents. ✨ GRILL & FIRE ✨ The grill is propane and directly wired into the house. Instead of a propane tank, you will see a timer. There is a fire pit. Please bring matches. Our cleaning service no longer provides firewood. ✨ MAX OCCUPANCY ✨ Bella Vista sleeps 4. Due to fire marshal regulations and insurance purposes, the number of guests per cabin is strictly enforced. Additionally, our off-grid systems cannot sustain more than the max number of guests. ✨ PUP-FRIENDLY ✨ Maximum of 2 dogs allowed. No cats. Pet Fee: $150 per stay. Please review house rules and pet policy prior to bringing your pets to avoid additional charges. → Check out our other mountain cabin rentals: ○ The Summit House: VRBO listing #807469 ○ The Phoenix Rising: VRBO listing #1282867 ○ The Cliffhouse: VRBO listing #496066

My fiancé and I very much enjoyed our stay here! December is an underrated time to book this spot. Fewer bugs and the heater in the cabin worked perfectly. We definitely recommend following the vehicle requirements to make those last 5 miles to the cabin. We rented a Toyota Highlander and it was well worth it. Views were spectacular, especially during sunrise! Favorite details: the porch swing, cooking with a view from the kitchen, and the comfy king-size bed. Recommendations/tips: Save an offline map of the area on Google Maps before your trip! Service is spotty for T-Mobile. Screenshot or print check-in details as well. Google maps will lead you to the correct destination but we appreciated the detailed directions as a back-up. We're not picky about our morning coffee but we do drink a good amount so we personally brought our own coffee grounds, sugar, and creamer. Keep an eye on night time temperatures and follow their instructions for taking care of the pipes if it happens to get cold. The owners/property manager Ashley were quick to respond to any questions. We had no issues during our stay so we didn't need to bug them much :) We would definitely book this spot again!

This has probably been the best cabin experience my husband and I have ever had. Driving into the national forest to get to the cabin was an adventure in itself and once we arrived we didn’t want to leave. The porch swing and lake view was so peaceful. The cabin amenities were everything we needed. The bed was comfy. We will have to visit again.

This was our 5th time staying at one of their four properties and we fall more in love each time!!! This is their newest cabin and it was so cute. My sister in law and her 1 year old stayed in it. There is a nice area behind it that was great for the kids to run around. Hindsight I wouldn’t have put the toddler in this cabin, only because of the cliff on the patio but zero complaints!

If you want to be away from ALL THE TWIRLING SWIRLING NEVER ENDING HUBUB OF THINGS, yes. If you want to reconnect with life, yes. If you want to sleep or hike or sing or sit or play or throw rocks or skip or sit or meditate or hug trees and see mushrooms and deer and bats and misty fog and feel moss and hear turkeys and leaves falling and water flowing etc, YES. Bring yourself, your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. Just get there. You’re welcome. Namaste.

The property was beautiful! A great little hideaway spot to get away from the fast paced life. We hiked and enjoyed the beautiful Mountain View's of the lake and surrounding forests! Recommend it for a great get spot!
