The cabin was very spacious and woodsy. The owners keep this cabin clean and looking great. Perfect location in the woods and pretty much in the middle between Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, and Bailey's Harbor. Ideal spot for someone looking to see a little of everything.

The property was beautiful and comfortable for our big family. It is well stocked with games and entertainment for the kids (teenagers and younger kids). The kitchen has everything you need for preparing your own meals and the sleeping areas have plenty of blankets and pillows. We loved all the attention to detail to make it a lovely place to not only relax but also engage with each other. The location is ideal for visiting multiple state and county parks!

This place was so perfectly set up, clean, and beautifully decorated. It was so comfortable we didnât want to leave. Everything you need is there and then some. We normally go to a different cabin each year but we may just stay here again! One very small constructive criticism: have coffee on hand :). Loved it!

We had a quiet and relaxing stay. Cabin is very comfortable and it was easy to find using GPS. It snowed one night so the fireplace was nice to have available. Cabin had everything we needed to make several meals. Scavenger hunt in the cabin was fun. Only thing we wished we could have done was see football game but couldnât find any channel that showed it on Directv. Minor inconvenience. Streamed it on the ipad. Overall great stay. We would book it again.

The cabin is really stunning. It is so beautiful and we enjoyed looking for all the little details in and out of the cabin. It is also extremely clean and well maintained and the location is ideal. We had a great time there and are hoping to be able to come back in the future.

This beautiful cabin was everything we hoped for in a cozy door county get away! It was so private and tucked away from the business of town but central enough to be able to go out and enjoy the rest of Door county without a drive. The cabin was so clean and comfortable. We had two younger kids and came in knowing the stairs were steep as mentioned in other reviews but they truly werenât a problem. The whole property is so well taken care of and we would so love to come back some day!

My wife and I just finished a pleasant autumn stay in this modern cabin located in a beautiful and very private wooded setting! The cabin is cozy, very comfortable, and exceptionally clean! The property is as-advertised and it exceeded our expectations. The woodwork throughout the cabin is amazing - it emits that wonderful âup northâ vibe. Communication with Sharen was excellent. Hoping this property will be available to us for our next visit to Door County.

The description of the place was spot on. It is a cabin in the woods. So cool. Clean and comfortable. They thought of everything. I would stay there again.

Biggest issue was the bugs.There were bugs between the glass and screen in several windows, both loft and the main level.It seemed like the smaller flying bugs were everywhere.In 20 minutes, my husband killed 10+ bugs near the lamps in the loft.In the lounge, there were 6+bugs on the glass on the door.Not limited to near the windows.We felt there wasnât a place in the cabin that was bug free/âsafeâ.We spent our entire honeymoon being paranoid about bugs landing on us,food/drinks, personal care items,bedding,etc. Not for those with sensory or mobility issues.The stairs are very steep.The bed in the loft had noticeable movement.Not for easily nauseous/light sleepers.Mattress pad smelled musty.No real door for loft bathroom.EVERYTHING can be heard and smelled throughout the cabin.Shower fan looked dirty.Loft shower was on the smaller side.Very noticeable religious decor throughout the cabin.Front door hard to close/lock/did not seal well.Rock steps that lead up to the cabin can be difficult and slippery when wet.The tv was hard to figure out.The trash can in the kitchen smelled horribly when we first arrived.The refrigerator made a high pitched noise.It was on the smaller side and made a lot of noise when opening.The toilet on main level had a puddle behind it due to humidity/previous visitor turning off the fan.The door does not stay open on its own and can be sticky to open/close.Hand towels remained damp and never dried fully.Humidity avg 70%+.

We had such an amazing time in door county on our honeymoon and this cabin was a perfect spot. It was in the middle of the woods but yet only 15 min away from a lot of attractions!

As always, Hidden Bear did not disappoint! We have been coming here twice a year for the last 4 years and once a year for 4 years before that and we just love staying at Hidden Bear! Sharen and Charlie are the most gracious hosts and the cabin is impeccable! We will be back next year and hopefully many more years after that!

First off, the cabin is gorgeous - very clean and well taken care of. However if you are going for a peaceful weekend, perhaps choose a different place. Each night there was loud music/band performing sounds being carried over. The cabin is further from town so we werenât quite sure where it was coming from but it was annoying to say the least. Additionally, every room of this cabin has God-filled knickknacks/signs/etc. - it was a bit overkill to be even in the bathroom and see God stuff on the walls.
Children and those with mobility issues should be careful on the stairs up to the loft. They are very steep and slippery with just socks!

The cabin is very nice and well maintained in a beautiful quiet setting. The property managers were very responsive to any questions we had. There were several amenities included with this property which were really nice. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is plenty of parking. The main bathroom door was hard to get open and the floor creaks so you could hear every movement on the first floor throughout the cabin. The sofa sleeper was also not very comfortable to sleep on. Perfect property for a smaller group as there are only 2 queen size beds. Overall it is a beautiful cabin and the hosts were great to work with.

The cabin is very nice with many special touches. I would definitely stay here again - but with fewer people. They had everything that you could need for a great stay! The fire pit area was wonderful!
We had a total of 4 adults and 2 children. The main bed is on a loft with a steep staircase (too difficult for small kids and elderly to manage). There is a pull-out sofa on the main level, however, it was very uncomfortable. The basement has a futon but there are no egress windows so I do not think that is a safe sleeping space (I didn't feel comfortable having people sleep in the basement). Please keep this in mind if you are booking for multiple people, as there is only 1 actual bed and it is in a loft. They do have an air mattress to use but there isn't much space to put it on the first floor. We ended up using our own inflatable mattresses and slept next to the dining room table.

This was our 8th time staying at the Hidden Bear Cabin. We love the peaceful setting in the woods, morning coffee on the front porch, relaxing in the lounge and sâmores around the campfire at night. We stayed for 8 nights this time, and it still wasnât long enough. Weâre already looking forward to next year!

We had the best time and experience at Hidden Bear Cabin. This was our third time in Door County, but first trying an vrbo. The location was great! Easy to get downtown and travel up to sister bay as well. We enjoyed the activities in the house on a few raining evenings and loved finding all the hidden bears. Would absolutely stay her again! Highly recommend!!

We've been visiting Door County for 22 years now. By far, this was the most beautiful, fully equipped home we've ever had the pleasure of staying. You can tell that the owners put quite a bit of thought into making this home comfortable, interesting and even whimsical with the decor. We can't wait to return, perhaps as a winter getaway.

A beautiful property with gorgeous balsam fir surrounding the artfully designed cabin. Peaceful surroundings. Loft bedroom and bathroom are best for younger people who can navigate a steep stairway and who donât want to sleep late. If you turn the great room light on too early, you wonât make friends with folks trying catch up on sleep up there!
A nicely furnished kitchen. Good quality utensils and everything we needed. Good washer and dryer. Our grandchildren (5 and 7) LOVED all of the hidden creatures and toys and enjoyed sleeping downstairs. (Brought their own air mattresses.). Wonderful that the County Park swimming beach and Egg Harbor beach are so close!!!

Although there were just 2 of us and way more room than we needed, I booked this property anyway. This listing looked wonderful. We are from Florida and I love sitting at a campfire or fireplace, which is hard to do for much of the year where we live. When I saw both a fireplace and a fire pit, I was sold! We also enjoying cooking to save and use local ingredients when we travel, so the kitchen was wonderfully well stocked. I actually used some of the jam from our welcome gift for breakfast, and used the rest to create a sauce for pork chops we bought at the market they recommended. Nights were so peaceful and quiet. I felt like we could have been hundreds of miles away from the city vs. a quick drive. The laundry was great to have so I didn't fly home to face a pile of dirty laundry. Bed was comfortable. We enjoyed all the fun little things to search for on the scavenger hunt from the box on the wall. Loved the dragonfly and turtle ones.

Hidden Bear Cabin is a wonderful place to get away from the city!
Hidden Bear Cabin makes you feel like you are home even though you are on vacation. The cabin is located out in the country, and you get some privacy, because the cabin is not located near a lot of houses.
We like the wood interior, and outside wood interior of the cabin. It was foot just to take some time to admire the craftsmanship of the cabin.
We spent our time reading books, or cracking a window open, so that we could hear the birds singing. Sometimes we would watch TV, or access the internet on our devices.
The location of Hidden Bear Cabin made it very easy to access the attractions in and around Door County.
Hidden Bear Cabin has all the amenities to make it feel like home, but you still feel like you are on vacation.
We would definitely visit Hidden Bear Cabin again!

Delightful spot for a weekend family getaway with adult children. One of them ran in the Door County half-marathon, and the backroads from the house made for a hassle-free trip to Peninsula State Park. House appointments were charming, including a number of family-friendly games. Convenient to the restaurants and shops of the villages, but the house itself was indeed a cosy hideaway in the woods. Great memories.
