Superb resort if you are looking to refresh, rejuvenate and unwind!

The grounds were beautiful! You are in a tropical jungle with monkeys and beautiful birds. The resort is oceanfront and the beach is beautiful. The accommodations are small houses that are spacious, clean, and have a beautiful outdoor porch with a hammock and Adirondack chairs with a comfy couch. The grounds are clean, serene and you are surrounded by so much natural beauty. Staff is friendly, warm and welcoming.

There was not one thing I did not like.

an unforgettable experience right on the best beach

it took us a few hours to get used to this property as it was our first ‘jungle’ experience. the spacious room was furnished with dark wood and it looked a bit spooky to us. however we quickly got used to our bungalow and really loved our stay here. the small kitchen are was appreciated as we could make our our breakfast, tea and coffee. the small grocery shop is just opposite the hotel, it’s very handy. the situation is exceptional- right on the longest stretch of silky smooth beach imaginable, with surfers to admire. I loved the daily yoga sessions right on the ocean, the teachers were excellent and kind. all in all we highly recommend this hotel to other travellers

Great location, great hotel, great beach, great town, amazing staff!

Highly recommended. We searched for places to visit in CR and Santa Teresa came up highly rated. Then we searched places to stay and Hotel Tropico Latino came up first. That was absolutely true! Amazing place, gorgeous beach, wonderful staff, very comfortable room, and great town. We even contact them in advance about transfers and they gave us amazing advice. Will go back.

The restaurant made a few mistakes with our food and was a bit pricey, but those are minor things.

Beautiful location. Hotel and restaurant on the beach. So nice to hear the ocean every day all day... Loved the jungle environment of the hotel. Can walk to both directions on playa Carmen from the beachfront. Very natural, and saw monkeys, iguanas, butterflies and lizards. Hermit crabs! All of the staff was very friendly. Especially loved the restaurant/bar servers and food was delicious! Very good menu items. Seafood Sunday and Taco Tuesday menus were fantastic! Wonderful venue for yoga with a view of the ocean. I took a yoga class or stretching class daily. Wonderful yoga teachers, and the spa was great also. Had a very good body scrub and facial! Highly recommend Hotel Tropico Latino- wonderful all inclusive experience! Great location for day trips to other beaches and waterfalls as well.

Would have been nice if the pool was heated, especially because it was the rainy season and it was overcast a large portion of the day. Would have been nice to go swimming in the pool, however it was a bit too cold.

Paradise!

The staff were wonderful, the food in the restaurant was superb, the location was amazing. We had a bungalow with our own terrace surrounded by beautiful fauna. The pool was great and I spent a lot of time in the hammock at the beach. I loved everything about this hotel!

Prime Location, Beautiful Property

Prime location!!! the pool right there on the beach was amazing! Absolutely beautiful property. we would stay again.

literally the only downfall was all the mosquitoes in the room. they were able to get in through the windows. and I got so many bites!! not really avoidable in Costa Rica but there were way too many in the room.

Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!!

It was an absolute oasis! The staff was incredible and so friendly! Our room, amenities, and spa were wonderful. The restaurant was incredible too! I truly couldn’t say enough great things about this hotel. Also, the location was perfect! So central to all the best restaurants and everything we needed. Highly recommend and would love to come back!

Relaxing beach setting with lovely accommodation

setting is fabulous, relaxing friendly helpful staff and facilities

rooms are dated. could do will updating bathrooms at least to be in keeping with the hotel our room (studio) was very noisy, could do with insulating roof to make more relaxing

Location is top and garden very beautiful. staff super friendly. The rooms are very nice bit the bathrooms is slightly outdated (but clear). you do hear the traffic in the rooms close to the entrance.

garden bungalow villa was very dated and run down and in no relation to the price paid for the night. room should also have some mosquito repellent/plugs as desperately needed.
