Horrible hotel in all manner

Nothing Bad & rude staff I have stayed thousand of hotels around the world & this is the worse experience I ever had

Be prepared to be treated like cheap by front office guy sultan

nothing except location…staff really dont care about guests as specially front office guy Sultan.

Front office guy Sultan has very much attitude and doesn’t know the customer service at all…he didnt want to listen to the customer and kept giving excuses back to back…Hotel will get much more guests if person like Sultan is not working there anymore.

Comfortable and handy for the Metro

It's a good location for the Burge and Dubai Mall and handy for the Metro which will get you to most places. We had a two bedroom apartment but the self catering was difficult at the kitchen has no cutlery or crockery, we finally got some from room service but it took a couple of days to sort this out. The kitchen has a full size fridge freezer, microwave, sink, washing machine and two ring hob.

The pool is on the roof so very small and windy. The constant drone of the extract fans don't added to the experience. The lifts have a weird system of working which takes some getting used to. Be prepared for a long wait for a lift.

If you stay here, make sure you get a hotel room on a high floor!

location is ok

Room on the 5th floor is a disaster... a lot of noise from the machinery room as well as from the street (busy trafic even during the night) yet the noise coming from the machinery room is absolutely the most annoying and disturbing a good night sleep. Hotel in general is getting outdated and renovation is required.

An amazing stay that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Dubai to stay at.

Amazing Stay and the room had one of the most beautiful views I have seen. The location and scenary really exemplifies what Dubai is with its magnificent architecture along with their sophisticated designs. Truly a modern spectacle of human ingenuity. It's our first time to stay in Carlton Downtown Hotel. Thank you to my friend Malou for reccomending this hotel. Staff are friendly. Housekeeping Yu Tum and Myra of housekeeping do a great job. Room is clean, Sultan of Reception always smiling and thank you to Ms. Corazon for guiding us what are best tourist spot of Dubai. Definitely I will share our great experienced in your hotel. Thank you for your professionalism and service that exceeds expectations. Truly going above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant and relaxing!

There was really nothing I did not like in the hotel. If there was anything I would've loved a free breakfast buffet or intercontinental breakfast like most hotels. But those are very minor things that did not ruin my experience

Location

The room doesnt have an iron, any spoons for the coffee, or hot water. The front desk staff need to agree what is the check out time. The wifi in the lobby is rubbish, and the breakfast is poor and the bakeries are hard like a rock.

Staff are incredibly helpful and will do anything to assist, rooms are large and both times we have stayed we have been lucky with views of skyline towards Burj. easy access to metro and cabs out the front of hotel as well as Tim Hortons and Starbucks a short walk.

only negative is checkin / checkout being a little old fashioned and slow compared with other hotels we have stayed however this may be standard for Dubai.
