The Alphen Boutique Hotel & Spa

The room was extremely large and comfortable, and the hotel was in a stunning location. The breakfast was delicious and the staff in general were extremely helpful and friendly.

The room and the staff was exceptional

The fact that there is zero room service after 9:30 or so. I called numerous times and only after a while I got through to reception and was told sorry the kitchen is closed. A Hotel at such a price point should have later room service. The food at the restaurants were inconsistent and the service at breakfast was slow.

The Hotel was as good as expected. Comfortable, the staff were verey friendly and professonal and the service was excellent.

The only drawback was that it is advertised as an hotel and spa and we had hoped that all the advertised facilities would be available to guests but were told on arrival that all services werre completely booked up. This was a huge dissapointment as this was essentially what my wife wanted from the stay. We decided not to extend our stay as a result.

The hotel is well located. The breakfast was really good and the staff helpful, when required. Suite is spacious.

The bed sheets had a funny smell to them. The sales manager on multiple occasions, kept confusing my wife and I for some guests who were attending a conference, not sure why. We seemed to have breakfast in two different places with different menus. We will not be returning to this venue.

the foyer/reception area and lounge were in need to an upgrade and just felt a bit too worn Aside from the bar, which we found to be great, L the other two restaurants were over-priced for very average food and the service was poor.

our spa booking was mixed up and we ended up not being able to experience the spa. our shower drain struggled with letting out water and our feet would be submerged while showering

room was lovely and lovely pool. we felt like the service was extremely slow .. we left a drink at the bar and the pool as they both took 25 mins to arrive so we had to leave them. two issues we had - pool- we couldn’t get a seat but there were non guests at the pool - we informed reception. reservations - we called the hotel on the day to ask for a drinks reservation at 8pm to be told - no it’s fully booked. even if we are guests? yes fully booked. we turned up anyway and there were 4 tables free… just poor form. breakfast was ok - slow also! great hotel with potential but needs issues sorting to make it better. I think it’s worth pointing out this is my first ever review like this as I think the hotel needs the feedback
