Serviceable, but doesn't live up to the hype
They have a POOL CAT! I liked that they have hot tubs (great when coming back from the rainforest), plenty of pool options (they have 3). I enjoyed the Quiet Pool the most but unfortunately it was rarely quiet because of a loud DJ at a nearby pool. They also have an inside parking garage which helped with having a less hot vehicle to get in when you want to go somewhere. Beach table service. Servers from the pool bars will come down and take your orders on the beach. VERY convenient location to El Yunque, Fajardo, Luquillo, Rio Grande, San Juan, and airport.
I was disappointed in the quality of food at some of the restaurants. The breakfast and dinner at Roots Coastal Kitchen was AWFUL. No seasoning at all on anything and we ordered multiple different things. The breakfast was also lacking flavor. We ended up going to the 5 O' Clock Somewhere bar almost every night we stayed in because they had better food than any of the other restaurants on site. A pool bar shouldn't have a better burger than your high end restaurant. The pools would hire a DJ from 12pm to 5PM most days and the music played was awful (and not local?) and it was so loud that it actually hurt my ear drums. We could hear the music from the beach and both of the other pools, which was frustrating if you like to hear the ocean or read. I asked other guests around the pools if they liked the music and ALL of them said no, it was not enjoyable. The staff agreed and said they had no control over it. You couldn't go anywhere to escape the noise. The bar inside the lobby also was blasting disco music so loud you couldn't even speak to the concierge. One of the golf courses was poorly maintained, and the rental golf clubs were from 1752. The staff didn't always feel friendly. Elevator went out of service while we were there. Beaches were closed at 5pm but after we were informed it's because of the sea turtle nests, we were okay with it. Did not like bathroom setup. I had issues with the guests in the unit above me making a lot of noise and I did not feel concierge did anything about it. Overpriced. Just in general, this resort is listed as one of the best resorts on the island by many sites. I would not agree. Many things were more convenient (everything was inside so you didn't have to walk in the heat just to get to the lobby. There were no wave breakers so you actually swam in real ocean waves), but I did not feel this resort lived up to the reputation. Not sure yet if we will come back.

Nice place to stay if you aren’t a carribbean water person.
Very clean, great pool area and beautiful grounds well maintained.
The beach wasn’t very pretty, didn’t like the sand or water.

Gorgeous garden and pool area, nice rooms. Staff was nice but too much ripping off.
Garden and the pool area are gorgeous. Room was nice. Staff was friendly, if you don´t take into account the extra charges they were trying to make us pay.
They are trying to get extra money from everything they can. I would not except to see this kind of behavior in a place that costs over 300 $ a night. Actually I´ve never experienced this while staying in a hotel/hostel/guesthouse etc. They tried to charge me 9 $ for a phone call I made to a group travel agency in another town nearby. Luckily they cancelled the bill after I complained. There are 3 options for breakfast, menu, big buffet and continental (small) buffet. On the first day, only menu option was presented to me. One nice waiter luckily explained to me how the breakfast works. The following days we took the continental breakfast. However they tried to make us pay for the big (normal buffet is listed in the check) breakfast every single morning except once. No way that was a mistake. If you are interested taking a shuttle bus to/from the airport you must order it 48 hours in advance. You cannot book a seat in the bus even if there was a shuttle and free seats without booking the seat 48 h in advance. You cannot even ask. They have a deal with a taxi company. When we left we ordered an Uber. The staff in the entrance did not help us with the luggage. From a perspective of a European person, they use way too much disposable plastic. Always when you order a drink and in the restaurants/bars in the pool area. But that seems to be a default in the whole country.

Great vacation.
I booked this hotel for my Step Son and his girl friend. They loved it and want to go back.
For them a long flight as they are not used to travel outside the US. But, they loved the hotel.

Good for families to stay away from the city. Cute. Expensive. Be sure you get what you paid for.
Nice staff at the restaurants. Really nice. It has three pools according to what you're in the mood. The place is pretty for sure. The gave us free margaritas when we checked in.
I booked a front beach room which wasn't cheap at all and I got a front to a wall room. I went to the front desk to ask to change the room and they told me the hotel was booked and like I wasn't part of the club they couldn't change my room. The margaritas at the 5 o'clock bar 12 dollars. A bit pricey for sure. The lunch food was okay. Nothing to remember and really tourist. The location is close to Luquillo and we wanted to go at night to eat. They don't have any taxis around. Uber are really hard to catch in the area. Try not going at night if you don't have someone to pick you up later. I heard the beach in the area is not safe enough to swim so that wasn't good either but you can walk and there's a nice view around.

Very good
The facilities were beautiful
There was enough to do around the property and everything was costly. We ended up spending more money than we intended just to eat and walking around the pools. Please don’t get me wrong, I came there for my fiancé birthday celebration, and I didn’t expect not to at least have a club on the property. Furthermore, most of the guests we spoke to shared the same opinions.

Relaxing getaway
Several pools, several restaurants, several bars and the beach. Wish we had stayed longer.
It’s a time share resort so they do try to get you to go to a presentation but they aren’t super pushy about it.

Great location, pools and beach
The room was very comfortable, well-appointed and modern with a wonderful plush bed. The kitchenette had a full-size fridge along with everything needed for preparing meals. There were three pool areas with multiple places to eat and drink both indoors and out. We Beverly had trouble finding lounge chairs or ordering food.
When booking through a third party, like Booking.com, you are given one of the least desirable rooms as far as location and view. Because we booked in the owner side of the property (Margaritaville), rather than at the hotel, we were immediately taken to the ‘concierge’ to arrange for our 90-minute time share presentation, which lasted well over two hours. The gift shop/market on property was extremely expensive ($12 for a box of cereal) so we recommend stocking up at the local convenience before entering the property. Otherwise the taxi will cost $25 round trip just to take the 7-minute drive there.
