Stay here if you love hearing trains!!! Especially all night long! Lack of sleep guaranteed. Parking situation is awful. Bed and room were ok. Restaurant was mediocre - waited 46 mins for our food (flatbread pizzas). Overall, disappointing stay.

Everything was ok except the room didn’t seem to have air conditioning. There was Fan Auto and a temp setting but the room never cooled off.

The room wasn’t ready on time. When we did get our room there wasn’t enough towels and the greeting paper looked like it had been there from another stay. Last but not least. I payed for breakfast. They said each ticket was for an adult and 1 child. My husband and 16 year old went down for breakfast and they refused to let my son in. They did not say it was 12 and under. Oh well, my loss, but I will definitely not stay here again.

It was great as usual, the staff helpful, courteous and very professional. The complementary chocolate chip warm cookies are a signature brand and l just love them. The rooms were so inviting and l felt really at home. Thank you DoubleTree by Hilton. See you again in Hawaii in November.

Great hotel centered in downtown Modesto, California. Clean and with an open lobby. Requested highest-level room available, which turned out to be the 10th floor. Great view for the downtown and lights. The hotel restaurant has an excellent menu and the food was delicious. You can enjoy your meal in the cocktail lounge, dining room, to-go, or have it sent via room service. Prompt attention given to any room discomforts. Daily refresh room service. The room has standard amenities which included small refrigerator, coffee maker and condiments, safe, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion, extra toilet paper and towels, a full-length mirror, office table, television and 4 pillows per bed. The beds were queen size, firm and comfortable. The lighting for the room was soft but could be brighter as you like. Overall, It was a great get away with the downtown life just across the street. Restaurants, movie theater, music and coffee.

The hotel was amazing they even upgraded our room due to an issue with the checkin. For some reason the hotel had my reservation as cancelled. Not sure where the mixup was, I have never had an issue using the app before.

The beds were very comfortable. The majority of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Although weird, I didn't like the very flimsy toilet paper.

All of my interactions with the staff were excellent. Food and service in the restaurant and breakfast area were also top notch. The only negative was the sounds of numerous trains passing in the night and continuing sirens from nearby emergency responders.

Girl at check in was picking and pulling off her fake fingernails and didn’t look up to help us — talked as she was “ working” on her nails — gum “chewed” left under the remote control stuck to the table ! someone left their sock next to the chair — makes me think no one vacuumed or they would have seen in — paper coffee cups for our coffee are not wrapped for sanitary reasons — who has touched these !!! Had dinner at the hotel after our event and we waited over 50 minutes for the food — only 2 girls working the bar and food area —and there weren’t many people eating — awful service — needed more help — should have eaten down the street !!!

Sheets were extremely dirty , had to wait 45 minutes for sheets to be replaced. Unacceptable! Very noisy. Also they charge for parking and breakfast. This place is terrible.

The young lady at the front desk was very rude. The room was dirty. The shower didn’t work and they didn’t give us the other room until the next day in the morning I would never stay at this place again, and I would tell my family and friends not to bother with this hotel.

Spacious, comfortable lobby and room. Excellent lounge: Good menu, food quality, hours, seating, service. Breakfast buffet convenient but mediocre for the price. Only two disabled parking spaces in front of the hotel, which seems disproportionate to the size of the hotel. Paid parking in their lot is $12; valet parking is $17.

the shower smelled like pee, there was crumbs or somehitng all over the floor. We heard police sirens and trains ALL night as well as the doors of other rooms slamming.

Smooth check in and out. Parking is convenient, bed was very firm and restful. Carpet and bathroom could use a deep clean. I brought my own disinfectant wipes as usual but the tub was filthy. I was surprised at the amount of pets I saw with their owners! May be the reason it felt and smelled in my room. Please upgrade the garbage can as they were so small and line them. Not to much to ask when spending $150. a pop!

I booked three rooms forbour Christmas party. I had confirmation numbers and thought I was good to go. Apparently Hotels.com never booked the rooms through the Double Tree and they were pre-paid. I spent 35 minutes trying to get our rooms. I book a lot of rooms through Hotels.com and this was a terrible experience considering it cut into our time being able to visit with our employees. The manager was nice enough to give us breakfast vouchers, but it still doesnt replace lost time.

Looks nice outside and in lobby area. Nice bar to relax in. Problem came with doors to each room that slam shut and the community college volleyball team in the rooms around me that went in and out of each others rooms for hours at night and then at five am the next day. Asked desk if I could switch rooms and they said no. Other issue was the soap in the bathroom wasn’t switched from the last guest. Just a decorative arrangement of washcloths stacked over it. Too loud in room with hall and door noises to really sleep.

Valet parking attendant was rude when we arrived. Kept pushing for me to move vehicle as I parked to do check-in. Actual valet parking was good and the other staff were polite and helpful. - Similar with staff at counter. At check-in, staff were polite and helpful. At check out, the opposite and staff acted as being bothered. - The room carpet was dirty and stiff in some areas. The room was very noisy (train going by about 6 times over the evening/night/early morning, sirens blaring, lawn mowers, etc.).

Parking lot across needs a person there supervising. Tech issues prevented folks from getting a ticket to enter and received no answer when pushing the button to call for assistance. Constant train horn honking at various times of the night was disruptive. Windows on high floor were too dirty to take pictures of the views. There was a severely punctured/cracked tile in the bathroom and something that looked like a cigarette burn hole in the furniture ottoman. No free drinking water - didn’t feel like the high floor upgrade I paid for.
