Will never stay there again.

The property is very outdated. It felt like a school campus. My husband had to send back a drink from the bar because there were two bugs (nets) in the glass.

I didn't like the price. Thought it was kind of hefty for the type of accommodations. I took this hotel because it's close to the school, but next time I will seek other accommodations.

Disappointing Hotel for Amount Paid

Restuarant was conveient and food tasty. Dinner service was good, First breakfast service good but second breakfast service was lacking. The server preferred to stay with other servers and chat rather than to pay attention to her customer. We ordered a cup of tea and it took way too long before it was served. Our meal was complete and we had to ask another server to find ours so we could receive our check and leave her a tip.

Your facility buildings are not connected and the receptionist wanted us to park way out front and drag our luggage from building 4 to building 3. No one to help with or luggage and they were lacking in accomodating us when we asked to have our room moved closer to front parking.

Relaxing time!

We traveled to Virginia Beach the hotel was 20 min away which I did not mind . The hotel was great we enjoyed the outside pool a great family place to unwind. Hotel was clean and helpful staff! The fitness room was well equipped and enjoyed it as well . A definite 10

Never be back.

Of 3 front desk clerks, the first was unfriendly and unresponsive, the second didn’t seem to know how to change rooms, and the third was professional. We specified a need for a bathtub (for our toddler grandson), but placed in a room without one; then we viewed the only room that did, but the tub had cracks and the bottom surface was stained/dirty. Hallways and common areas weren’t cooled or vented properly. One bar of soap (for two sinks), and inadequate number of towels.

I would stay again, but will check the towels before use.

The grounds were beautiful, the pools, and loved seeing all the ducks!

A little inconvenient rooms are in separate buildings from front desk, restaurant/bar, etc. Also, all the towels in my room had a weird lighter fluid smell to them, was concerning. I only stayed 1 night.

Charming, comfortable hotel - we will be back!

We stayed here for the third time, and it won't be our last. The grounds are gorgeous (it is a popular wedding location for good reason), the rooms are very comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the amenities are enjoyable (indoor and outdoor pools, fitness studio, spa). Free parking and a good location between Virginia Beach and Norfolk make day excursions uncomplicated and convenient. I can't understand the negative reviews. Perhaps people see the name 'Hilton' behind the hotel and have absurd expectations. No, it isn't perfect, but let's say 90% and at a price that you can't argue with.

The building is clearly older, which gives the hotel a lot of charm. But it also means that not everything is state-of-the-art.

Beautiful, comfortable, very clean place, friendly, helpful staff, the food definitely needs some work

It was very comfortable the bed and room, the staff was very nice and helpful, we loved the shower.

The restaurant was not 5 stars, we got steak and mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, the steak was definitely not worth the price we been to steak houses that have better steak and cheaper, the Mac and cheese tasted like kraft mac & cheese, like powdered cheese, and the mashed potatoes no flavor and very soup like, and the breakfast was ok the omelettes that they made were great thank you but everything else was average.

It’s a lovely property, but there are needed updates to the spa and other rooms.

It is a beautiful property with gardens and water in the middle of the city. .

The spa was nice but many of its amenities ( pool, hot tub) were under repair so that was disappointing. The reading material in the spa needs to be more varied and updated The staff could be more present throughout the property.

Pleasant

The hotel is beautiful, the room was very nice, spacious and clean. We opted to include breakfast, which had lots of options.

We had issues with the door to our room. It seemed that the keys weren't working. Maintenance was called to fix it. The door was sticking, and you had to "forcefully " open the door. The only other issue for me was that the mattress was extremely hard.

Overpriced, but friendly staff.

The garden and pond was beautiful

The jet tub wasn’t clean at all. There was trash under the beds from previous occupants. The room we upgraded to (double the price of our first room) didn’t have a smart tv when the cheaper room did.

I will come back for another relaxing weekend

Everything was beautiful, the room the cleanliness, the breakfast, and their staff oh my God I LOVE TO SEE THEIR SMILES. I am definitely coming back.

I did not like that the shutters for the hot tub did not work and the indoor pool looks like a bit dirty.

Nice clean hotel with comfy beds, beautiful pools and pond with ducks. Nice breakfast with a big variety to choose from. Hotel SPA is amazing.

Some furniture in the room and shower amenities in real need of replacement. Little pricey for the location.

Always a buffet, no menu. Bar should open at lunch time, not 5:00. Very pricey for buffet only. My room had very little water pressure in the shower.

Our stay was ok. We had a rough start and the Inn was not what we were expecting, but not terrible

The Inn is right off of the interstate and not too far from things when you need anything. It was quiet and you are able to relax if you want to. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool, (the outdoor pool wasn't open). The spa was a plus, my MIL really enjoyed her massage. The garden is pretty and a bonus to have on the property. We ran into a very friendly maintenance guy who was really kind and gave the kids some duck food to feed the ducks. They greatly enjoyed doing that. Overall, it was a nice stay, we enjoyed our time together as a family. Spending time together was great. We just had a few hiccups at the beginning with check-in.

When we first arrived, I was told one of my rooms was not ready, and asked if I would like to upgrade to a jetted tub room instead. I gladly accepted. We were staying for my MILs birthday, so it would be a nice for her. I gave her the upgrade room, and we went to go check it out; it was not a jetted tub room. It was a regular room, that seemed dark and not pleasant. There were a few dead bugs right when we walked in. It was not an upgrade at all, which we didn't have to have, but we were told and offered the upgrade, so it was just a little disappointing to walk into that. It seemed like a downgrade instead of an upgrade. And then switching that room put that room on the complete opposite side of the building of our other 2 rooms. When we asked if we could just get the original room we booked or at least moved closer to our other 2 rooms, we were told it couldn't be done. The man helping us was not friendly or helpful at all. The other 2 rooms were much brighter and seemed a little nicer. They were on different floors, but almost directly above/ below each other. One of the rooms would not open. The keys didn't work. We had to walk back to the front desk two extra times to try to fix the keys. Maintenance was eventually called to come help with getting into the room. That was a fairly long wait for someone to come. We figured they were understaffed, so we just patiently waited. We finally got into the room, and everything was fine there. The last room was ok, but it was only set up for 2 people when we had it booked for 4. There were no extra sheets, pillows or blankets. Nothing for the pull out sofa, just a dirty mattress. We couldn't get extra sheets or towels until the next day, and the extra pillows and blankets never came. It took forever for someone to bring towels in the m. We ended up leaving for lunch without showering because we couldn't wait longer. We waited over an hour before giving up and leaving.
