Better than expected. Will certainly be our first choice next time in Portland.

The hotel is brand new. The room is of excellent space for the category and the bathroom as well. Staff is very helpful, the valet option is very convenient, and the room is also very clean. Complimentary breakfast is more than sufficient for an early morning meal, so you can envoy later the city gastronomy options.

Exceptional

The staff was amazing, very accommodating and helpful in every way! The location was the best, because we could walk to all the restaurants, shops, and some ferry stops.

Elevators at times worked very slowly. The price is a bit steep.

The beds were not comfortable. Pillows even worse, couldn't sleep at all. for $500/night I think they could spring for some new pillows.

Great location and room comfort.

The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. I loved the fireplace and seating area in the lobby. The staff were all helpful and friendly,

I like when coffee and tea are available at all times in the lobby. That was not the case for this location. It's a simple option to provide but helps make the guests feel more comfortable throughout the evening/night.

Wonderful stay. Will definitely return.

Friendly clean and close to everything. Breakfast was included which was a nice feature.

Parking was kind of a pain. The valets were awesome but If you needed something out of your car, if was a total pain. One of the elevators was broken so the lines to get to the upper floors were kind of excessive

I won’t be back.

Had to wait until 5:30 to check in. Had requested a ADA room but first room we were put in was not ADA. Then put in ADA room but tub was high and bench blocked curtain so lots of water went on floor. Toilet flush not strong. Heavy set man at front desk on 7/19/23 was kind of a jerk and wanting to pass the blame.

A good hotel seeking staff...

This was our second stay at the Hyatt. The staff was very courteous and professional, especially the parking valets. I was quite impressed with the patience and professionalism of the desk clerk in dealing with a very difficult guest. We like the layout of the hotel and the location in downtown Portland is excellent. The EV charger for our vehicle was a real plus and one of the key reasons we chose the Hyatt for our stay.

You can tell the hotel is struggling with staffing shortages. Our room was not cleaned as well as we expected and an accident in the self-serve dining room wasn't cleaned up for quite some time. Our room during this stay was much noisier than during our previous visit. Nothing like a garbage truck dumping the bins at 4 am to get your day started.

The cost for two nights was over $700.00 (not including parking). I am horribly disappointed and won’t be going back.

It was right in the middle of the old port so it was perfect walking distance to all the shops, food, and bars.

The room was clean and overlooked the street below however, the bed was HORRIBLE! The sheets were paper thin along with the pillows. We ended up purchasing our own blankets and pillows for the second night because it was so bad. You couldn’t regulate the temperature in the room. It was either extremely hot or freezing. On top of the large expense for the room, you have to pay $40.00 a day for parking or you can pay $55.00 on your own.

It was a great room filled with a sitting area, refrigerator, and all that I needed to enjoy a brief stay! Thank you!

Spacious and well planned especially the bathroom shower being large and modern.

Bathroom door was difficult to lock but not a huge problem.

Everything went well! We used the valet services to park are car and they were delightful. Our car was returned promptly. Breakfast was fresh and the food replenished. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Don't waste your money

The bed was okay.

Upon arrival found that parking was going to cost an extra 60$ there is no way around that folks. When checking in, was advised the pool was down (one of the main reasons for booking this hotel.). When I got to my room it had not been cleaned properly from the guest before myself there was tape of the walls, french fries in the couch cushions,and the light fixture was pulled from the wall. I also found hair in the tub. And in our one night stay we tried to get coffee from the starbucks branch inside 3 times but no one was tending the counter.

Superb

Great location in the heart of the downtown area. King room was spacious and comfortable. Very friendly staff.

Not sure why it costs so much to spend a weekend in Portland, Maine!

We had a Great time.

Room was Great. The breakfast was Fair at best. The location in the Old Port was Great. Staff was Friendly and helpful.

Parking was Expensive, $55.00 per day for the garage or $40.00 per day for the Valet. Breakfast was Fair at best.

mixed bag

Well located. Modern. Quiet.

we got to our room and I needed to use the bathroom. The toilet seat had pee on it. I had to literally clean the seat before I could use it. We were given an ADA room which was large but we had not requested it. closet had all sorts of stuff in it and it was a conventional tub/shower- certainly not accessible. parking in Portland is terribly expensive…$50./day! If you use the hotel valet, it’s $40./day but by the time you tip, you’ll be at $50. at least. the do have a Tesla charger which we used. that was handy.

noted on my booking it was for my wife's birthday, was assured my room/ account had "the birthday special" and that they hoped we enjoyed the room, there was nothing different about the room.
