Comfortable stay

It is cozy

Not many restaurants available during night time, we can only dine in the hotel.

Très décevant

Belle décoration, une ambiance qui aurait pu être agréable !!! On aurait aimé pouvoir apprécier l'hôtel comme d'autres ont pu le vivre !!!! Restaurant très correct, petit déjeuner plutôt bien également sans tomber par terre !!!!

Pas de wifi avec des promesses non tenues au lieu d'être francs. Des enfants qui hurlent toute une soirée et toute une matinée jouant dans les endroits censés être la touche plus de l'hotel, personne de l'équipe ne réagit ni ne demande quoi que ce soit aux parents, l'hotel laissé en pâture à quelques énergumènes. Très décevant d'un hotel qui reste pour notre expérience le plus onéreux et le moins à la hauteur de notre séjour en Turquie.

Exceptional

This place was excellent. The reception staff was wonderful. The location is extraordinary, literally directly across the street from the Kalesi and most of the old sites in Ankara, and there aren't that many. They had water in the room in glass bottles which I really appreciated to avoid more plastic. They had a 'pillow menu' and had a memory foam pillow for guests, so I was able to get a pillow just like the one I have at home. It was a nice touch. Breakfast was Turkish and excellent food.

The breakfast room staff was very nice but not attentive at all. Every time we wanted coffee or anything more, we had to wave someone down even though they were mostly just standing around.

A trip into history with all the comforts...

The breakfast and dinners are excellent with multiple selections. All staff we very helpful and answered questions thoroughly and patiently. I very much enjoyed my visit and would go back again.

My only concern was regarding the wifi which my computer kept reporting as unsecured. I'm not sure whether this was the hotels problem or my heightened security precautions.

unique and high quality hotel

amazing historical building right opposite a gateway in the castle walls. lovely helpful staff.

the bar in the main part of the building was closed when we arrived at around 9pm. there is a restaurant serving alcohol (with spectacular views) in a modern part of the building but as we only stayed one night we never got to live out enjoying a drink on the leather sofas and taking in the atmosphere in the main atrium. I don’t know if this was due to Ramadan or poor sound proofing of rooms around the atrium. but certainly a disappointment.

Unique and Beautiful Hotel

The property itself is so beautiful and unique. It is a caravanserai and the experience of wandering in the beautiful hotel is special indeed. It is located at the top of the hill and right opposite is Ankara Castle. To the left of the hotel is Erimtan Museum and to the right is Rahmi M Koc Museum (which is free entry for hotel guests). Just 5 mins walk downhill is the Musuem of Anatolian Civilizations. The location is really good. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby but you would need to walk up and down slopes. The room was clean, modern, comfortable and tastefully furnished. Bathroom was great too. There is also a lift in the hotel as the rooms are located on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was turkish style and they start service at 7.30am. If you need a taxi, the hotel staff can call for one really quick as there is a taxi station right across the road.

Fantastic stay in a charming unique hotel

The hotel building is amazing and has a lot of charme. Staff was very helpful. The breakfast was great and the room was really outstanding. Can't really ask for more.

Superb

The hotel was like an elegant museum. Everywhere we looked, we saw something interesting. We were treated well and felt special. We also revoked dinner there. It was great!

The people in the room next to us were very loud. Although the rooms had adequate sound insulation, unfortunately, they weren't soundproof.

It is the most striking hotel I have ever seen, in fact it is part of the same rich museum of machinery and everyday history that the Koç family set up in Ankara on the site of their ancestral workshop, in the very caravanserai where the traders of the Great Silk Road stayed. There are only a few rooms and in the evening the traveller feels like a historical film hero, surrounded by authentic, valuable and magnificent objects. It's just a fairytale. Needless to add that the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness and tidiness of all the rooms, the superb food in the restaurant are all above and beyond praise. I don't know how else to describe the place. It is the Ali-Baba Cave, equipped to the highest world standards of the 21st century, and at the same time a tale of Ankara's past. Living in this hotel is like being on a historical tour.

A converted caravanserai next to the Museum

Perfectly located with parking near to the old city and the Museum of Anatolian civilization. The hotel is a converted caravanserai with rooms that could even accommodate our family of five. Very charming and incredibly helpful and kind staff. Highly recommended.

Nice Different Stay

It was a nice stay at a historical location. The staff is very friendly and helpful, notably Yigit. The location in front of Ankara Castle is also nice.

Parking is problematic during peak hours but staff helps in that. The breakfast was below expectations.

Decent Stay ... Nice Staff

The hotel is in a historical mansion. It emanates history in every single detail. It is a special category that would appeal to those who love special accommodations. Thanks for Yigit!

The parking is a little bit problematic, especially at peak times. However, the staff tries their best to help. The breakfast was below expectation.

Historical building & excellent location close to Ankara castle!

Location at the entrance of Ankara castle, in walking distance of 3 museums. The rooms are large, with great ameneties, all what you expect of such a level of hotel. The pictures show what you get. We had dinner & breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel: breakfast is served at the table & comes with lots of choice (closer to a brunch!); the dinner was OK, but nothing special. The view from the restaurant is worth the visit, as you can see large parts of the city and Anit Kabir (Atatürk momnument). Also enjoy the cat family that lives on the terrace.

Only missing element is a swimming pool (but you know that, when booking this).

Stayed all over Turkey for three weeks and this was the best place by far.

Everything about it. The museum attached was fascinating, the staff more than accommodating, and the location is superb. I would definitely stay there again.

I have no criticism to offer here.
