Located in Dollar Point, this charming house for $1,060 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Home recently remodeled and rebuilt . Approx 3,500 Sq Ft 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms. This home represents mountain luxury with attention to detail at its finest. Two gas fireplaces (Great Room and Master Bedroom) and one wood burning fireplace (Game Room). Three bedrooms have LED TVs with multiple Direct TV channels and en-suite modern and spacious bathrooms. Large decks equipped with speakers and multi zone music channels and garden area suitable for family gatherings. Surrounded by pine trees in quite neighborhood with easy winter access. Great room with 55' 3D LED Samsung, surround sound, high quality stereo system with speakers and 42' gas fireplace. Game room has pool table, 44 inch wood burning fireplace, 3D 60 inch HDTV with Bose surround sound system, PlayStation 3 for gaming, Blue Ray player and deck with a 5 person Jacuzzi. Large decks with BBQ, deck heater, and seating for 8 people. Gourmet kitchen has high end appliances and seating for 10 at dining table and 5 at the bar. Master Suite has fireplace, private bath with heated floors, rain head shower, and steam shower. Master Suite has a king bed. Four downstairs guest rooms have a king, king, 2 twins and bunk bed (full+twin bed). Game room has fold out queen bed couch. Home sleeps 10 persons in bedrooms, with a possibility of two more on pull out sofa in Game Room. Egyptian cotton 400 thread count bed sheets, top quality comforters and towels. The fine craftsmanship, attention to detail and appealing design will make you want to stay longer at home. Our Home is located in a quite neighborhood of mostly 2nd homeowners and some primary residences yet close to downtown Tahoe City. Home is surrounded by pine trees and mountains. Cross Country skiing, mountain biking, and hiking (depending on season) is out our front door. It is 15 minutes to the 3 best downhill ski areas in Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar. In summer the same area has some of the best mountain biking and hiking in the Lake Tahoe area. The beach is a 10 minute bike ride or 5 minute car ride. In about a 3 minutes drive you are in bustling (joke) downtown Tahoe City. Tahoe City has all the restaurants and stores you could want. If you go north from the house you can be at Stateline (Carnelian bay) in 20 minutes where there are a few small casinos with live shows most nights and of course gambling. Its really ski area central in the winter. If you like cross country, you can literally go out the front door and ski over to a groomed cross country ski area called Tahoe Cross Country Ski area. We have sleds you can use as well. In the summer you have access to the lake, kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, and hiking. I enjoyed the place, it was very cozy and comfortable. We arrived during a snow storm so we weren't able to check out the outside too much. Overall the place was very nice. The one minor thing I would add is a picture or a comment that there are some steep step going downstairs (I don't think I saw that in the description). The only reason I mention it is because we enjoyed the space with friends and our small kids - most just a year old. However, he did have a baby gate at the top of the steps which was super useful. Also the host is really wonderful with communicating with you. He makes you feel like you can reach out to him anytime and got back to me very quickly on all asks/comments/questions.

Having relocated 20 years ago from the Sacramento area to Maui, we wanted to return to Tahoe to celebrate a 50th birthday with our closest friends. We had 7 adults stay at this property for a week over the Thanksgiving holiday and could not have enjoyed it more. The home is terrific. The location was exactly what we wanted. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The home amenities met all of our needs. We are foodies and the kitchen was well appointed and the pots/pans were brand new. We would rent the same property again and highly recommend this listing.

Wonderful setting for a family vacation. Nice spacious home, good location near many activities. Once the smoke cleared we had great time outdoors. Kitchen is well equipped for our family to make meals. Host Mario was very responsive and had allowed us to rebook our vacation from last year when fires caused us to cancel. Our family would go back again anytime.

This cabin is perfect for families - large, comfortable and really nice to have so many bathrooms when traveling with a larger group. Game room provides a great place for kids to gather while adults enjoy upstairs or are out on the patio. Kitchen is well equipped and plenty of beach towels available. Skylandia beach is nearby and nice - but bring shade. Only downside to this location is the neighbor behind the house - has a half pipe skate ramp and trampoline in their back yard, constant barking dogs and late night (1am) parties. There is a lot of space between homes so not a huge issue but woke some of our party throughout our stay. We also left a car unlocked and found someone had gone through it in the middle of the night - so I would recommend keeping doors locked. Mario is an excellent host and his communication was excellent. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and made a lot of great family memories at Mario’s cabin.

10 people and there is plenty of room. The three on suite rooms was very nice for getting everyone going in the morning.
Kitchen is big with plenty of room for more than one person to operate.
Between the bedrooms, the deck, living room and downstairs entertainment area, there is more than enough room to either congregate or separate when you need some space.
Having the bike/walking trail including the single track MTB trails was a bonus.
If you want to play pool, bring your own chalk since we couldn't find any.
All in all, great house, I liked the location and would rent here again.

This home is wonderful. Great size for a group. The kitchen is well stocked and the location is excellent. Great hiking and mountain biking area. Can ride a bike to one beach with older kids (hills involved). Overall a great time!

My husband and I rented Mario’s house to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family for 5 days. We wished we could have stayed longer, but we all had to be in Colorado for a family wedding weekend. It was wonderful!!
First of all, the house has been updated to the highest of standards. There were 8 of us, 13 yr old, 18, and 6 adults. We all had our own rooms, couples in 3 king rooms with en-suite bathrooms. We cooked all of our dinners in the well equipped kitchen and ate on the large balcony patio. It was hot when we were there, but quickly cooled down in the evenings. Fortunately, Mario has fans in all the rooms.
We have traveled all over the world and Lake Tahoe has to be in our top 10 of beautiful scenery. There is so much to do there. We kayaked, paddle boarded, went rafting, and rented a pontoon boat for 4 hours and took a picnic lunch on board. It was awesome to just cruise the beautiful blue waters. My husband and I downloaded a GPS narrated tour around the whole lake. It was well worth the $4.99 download!
Mario was easy to work with even though he was in Europe at the time. We texted back and forth and spoke over the phone.
All in all, I don’t think we could have picked a better place to spend our 50th!

Terrific Tahoe

Every year our family takes off for 4th July / Birthday celebration. By far this has been the best. I’m sure many more to come. But the home is beautiful and we spent a lovely time there. Comfortable summer weekend
The home was just as photographed: spacious, clean, and very well kept! I had a family vacation and we were all very comfortable at Mario's home. The kitchen was well stocked, and the parents had the balcony to eat, drink, and relax while the kids played in the game room down stairs. Family Vacation
We had a great time at this property! It is large with plenty of room for extended family. It has easy access to grocery shopping and lake activities. It is walking distance to trails for hiking and biking. We highly recommend this property.

If you are looking to getaway to Lake Tahoe this is the place! Walking trails right out your door, a private beach a mile away, short drive to the darling town & a beautiful home w/ plenty of space! An absolute dream weekend
Simply put, this property is perfect. The neighborhood is 5-10 minutes to town, tucked into the trees and even has a hike just down the street. The house itself was exceptionally clean, with a fully stocked kitchen and speakers inside and out to keep the music going. We had the best time and can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic Stay
Mario was a pleasure to work with. He was a fast communicator and made a last minute trip happen for us. His home is so beautiful! Tons of rooms and space and extremely well taken care of! Amazing Christmas Experience!
Our family was traveling from Australia and looking for the perfect place to spend a white Christmas. This house was absolutely perfect!
Firstly the location is spectacular, just outside of Tahoe City and a stone throw away from the major ski resorts. The house is big enough so that large groups can each have their own space (with most bedrooms having a bathroom), as well as two great large family rooms where everyone can hang out together (e.g. the games room downstairs with fireplace was fantastic). The house was clean and immaculate and had all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Mario is superb in responding quickly to any queries or questions and has a great thorough knowledge of the area.
We would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a place to stay in the Lake Tahoe area!

Fabulous!
We loved staying at this beautiful home, with well-stocked kitchen and beautiful deck. The owner was really nice and easy to communicate with -- we hope to be able to come back one day. Highly recommend!

Excellent with one exception
Everything was excellent, and as advertised. The minor exception was that the cleaning lady was still there for awhile after our check in time at 4. Also, we took off our shoes as instructed, then stepped on little bits of broken glass on the kitchen floor.

Loved our stay at this house. Clean, up to date and perfect for our group of 8. The owner/manager communicated promptly with us prior-no issues upon arriving, and handled all post-rental communication well.

Amazing house, perfect location
What a gorgeous house! It looks exactly like the pictures, only it feels bigger once you're there. There are endless rooms and bathrooms. Everything was clean and comfortable. Tons of space for a group. Mario was a delight to work with. We will absolutely stay here again next year!

Wonderful snowy ski vacation
Beautiful home with very nice spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms for 8 adults. Walking distance to cross country ski and 20-40 minutes to various ski resorts.

Clean and Fun (expected more for price)
The house was pretty nice and located close to town/ski resorts. It was fun with the game room and hot tub. The kitchen area was a little tight. We had to squeeze by to get in and out of the kitchen when we were all seated at the table and tight seating space against the wall too. The table was sticky. That was a little unpleasant. It would have been nice to have wash cloths provided and extra towels for the bathrooms and a clean, unused, sponge for dishes. The tv in the game room had a short in it but luckily we figured it out. We reached out to the owner and he did offer to reimburse us if we wanted to go purchase a newHDMI cable when we originally thought that was the issue. Also, there is no filtered water as advertised. All in all it was a pretty nice stay but not sure for that price if we would go back.
