About this cottage rental
Located in Point Loma, this attractive cottage for $180 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This charming one-bedroom cottage (and our two-bedroom next door- see listing number below) are in the heart of all the excitement, history, heritage and charm of Old Town San Diego. Private and tropical, this adorable cottage is located in the center of the birthplace of San Diego, walking distance from a plethora of delicious restaurants, quaint shops, Old Town State Historic Park, all in a fun and lively authentic Mexican atmosphere! Visit many FREE museums that explore some of the more mysterious legends of early San Diego, offer tours of original historical sites, 'haunted tours,' and more! In addition, you will find Mariachi shows, dancers, live outdoor theatre performances and more surprises as you explore the streets of Old Town on foot. Close proximity to beaches, Sea World, downtown, San Diego Zoo, Coronado-- this property is central to all! The Old Town trolley offers a delightful tour of the city, and leaves two blocks from cottage! Public transit center is less than a half mile away with access to buses, light rail, and Amtrak. Renting a car is entirely optional! Cottage features one full bedroom with queen bed, full upgraded bath with shower/tub, full-size fold-out sofa in living room, full upgraded kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and coffeemaker. For guests with little ones, we can provide a high chair and a pack and play. One designated parking spot OFF street! Private patio area with table and chairs for al fresco dining or just relaxing in your own landscaped retreat. Also please see listing #972676 for our neighboring two-bedroom. Both properties are equipped with heating/air conditioning. PLEASE NOTE: As we do have a very welcoming pet policy, please advise us ahead of time of any allergies or sensitivities so that we are able to make sure you are comfortable. Joan was very nice and had the sofa bed all made up for the kids since our flight was signicantly delayed and we were getting in really late. Nice place with nice location. Very easy to get Ubers to anywhere.

San Diego is like our second home, but finding an affordable place where to stay is hard to find, we were very lucky to find this fantastic place in such a beautiful area. Location was perfect, walking distance to Old Town, not to worry about parking and at night very peaceful. Love it, cottage had everything we need and the best Dove went above and beyond to make this trip just perfect. Thank you so much for leaving that fresh water for our lovely dog in such a hot day, he was in heaven. Hopefully we continue going back to your place.

This worked out perfect for us. Came to visit my son so we did not get a car. When we went somewhere he came and picked us up. When we were by ourselves Old Town was nice to walk through. Restaurants are mostly Mexican with a few exceptions. Was some dog hair but she accepts pets. Overall very clean and well stocked. Joan was friendly and very easy to work with. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Met Joan on our arrival. She smiles when she talks...THAT is how nice we found her as well. It was like she was welcoming family when dealing with us. We saw her multiple times and she is the perfect host. Its a one bedroom small but so well laid out. It is quaint, welcoming and well equipped. Ac and heat work great. Kitchen is stocked well. The bed is very comfortable. Location = an 11 out of ten.. You are right in the heart of Old town yet it was so quiet. You hear nothing. We loved it and hope to stay again but it is booked a lot. We would definitely LOVE to stay here again if we ever get back to San Diego! Especially if traveling with our dog. It was perfect! Our Hosts were so kind, helpful and very generous to let us check in early. The place has an adorable little fenced in patio to sit and let the dogs out. And the beds were so comfortable! Even the pull out couch! The sheets, linens and pillows were so soft and cozy.

Very cute, we have two dogs, the yard was a little weedie but with some help from my husband it worked out very nicely , very quiet and if you love old town this is the place, food, shops easy access to all events, the gals are very helpful, we had no need to contact them everything was explained to us upon arrival .

We had such a lovely time during our stay. It was right down the street from Old Town and the train station/ trolley that will take you anywhere you want to visit. We were so thankful that we were able to travel with our fur babes & the fenced backyard was also really nice. Will be staying here again when traveling to the beautiful San Diego! =]

Hidden Gem right Smack Dab in the middle of Old Town SD. Right next to a plethora of amazingly good restaurants that are in walking distance. Very seldom did we use our vehicle because of all the great food nearby. SeaWorld, The San Diego Zoo, & Lego Land were the only places we drove too during our stay & they were very close to the property which was nice. Everything else was in walking distance which made it nice to just walk out & have a night out on the town.The owner Joan was very attentive to our needs & offered early check in which was amazing because we were a family of 6 two adults, two children, & two dogs. Big dogs may I add. Traveling from Phoenix so it was nice to be able to unpack as soon as we arrived in San Diego. The property itself was very cute, clean, & up kept. The private back yard for our doggos was a nice touch. Plus private parking! In old town SD! Super unheard of. If you're looking for a nice spot in Old Town SD to lay your head with your family look no further! I'd definitely bring my family back in the future.

Chose this rental for my trip to SD to check on family member in the hospital. Brought along the 2 dogs. This was a wonderful property: it’s cute, great location in old town itself and central to other SD areas, & it has parking. Fenced yard for the doggies - there were some weeds in the fenced area which would have been nice to have em cut but we managed fine.

In the heart of Old Town. We didn't have to drive anywhere, so many restaurants and shops, a short Uber to the zoo. The cozy cottage has a small backyard for the dogs, there was a fresh bowl of water waiting when we got there. We will stay here again!

Great location, cute 1 bedroom. The host was very nice. Surprisingly quiet for it being in old town. The place was dirty and needs a good cleaning and wipe down. It was picked up but not clean.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were in town for a wedding and just needed a small place close to the airport and freeways. This was perfect. It's walking distance to Old Town San Diego. Ate some of the best Mexican food outside of Mexico! This home also has a driveway for parking which is a bonus as street parking is difficult. We met Joan, who is a most gracious host. She is friendly and welcoming. This home doesn't have the most top of the line latest and greatest amenities, but it's clean, quiet, has everything you need including a washer/dryer and it's10 minutes from the airport. Exactly what we needed for a quick getaway.

This property is old, very dirty and not taken care of. I rented it for my daughter to stay in over Thanksgiving and had to move her to a hotel because it was too horrible. Owner claims she cleaned it prior to our stay, but it was not clean by any standards. VRBO was not very helpful and didn’t offer to find us another place when we called to report the situation.

We really enjoyed this property. It's very quiet even though it's in the middle of Old Town. We were touched by the dog treats, water bowl, toys, and dig bed put out for our pup - very thoughtful. This is a clean and stylish place and we were very comfortable.

This is a perfect place to stay in Old Town. We were able to walk to everything. Didn’t use our car once during our stay. Also is dog friendly and our pup enjoyed the bed and treats left out for him.

Excellent communications with Dove and Joan who are immediately responsive. The property is in Old Town, it is a 10-15 minute Lyft from the airport, so you really do not need a car unless you want to venture more of SAN. All amenities are provided, well stocked and small, private back sitting area. Joan even gifted my twin sister and I a nice Birthday surprise. Only suggestion would be for a workable cork screw. BTW: lots of nearby walkable restaurants and shops. Would stay there again.

Very much enjoyed our experience at this property. The off street parking was great, especially on the weekends, when old town comes to life. Even though you are in the middle of old town, it felt like my family had our own privacy and there was not much noise at all. The caretaker, Joan, was very responsive if there was an issue and did her best to handle it same day if possible. Overall, a very good experience!

We visited San Diego for our son's Marine Corps graduation and this location was perfect. We could walk to restaurants and shops in Old Town and it was a quick drive to the base. Unfortunately, during our stay the air conditioner broke. Joan (the property manager) did everything she could to make our stay comfortable. I definitely will recommend this place to other Marine families.
