About this house rental
Situated in Isle of Palms, this lovely house for $550 per night is a great option for your next trip. AVALON BY THE SEA is located on a quiet street (23rd Avenue) near the downtown area within walking distance to the Harris Teeter. You pass 4 houses to Palm Blvd with a designated beach path. If you rent a golf cart, my suggestion is to go to 25th Avenue where there is a cross walk and lots of parking for the beach. Beach is always quiet during the week. There is a playground, basketball, and tennis courts 3 blocks away. The home has 11 ft. ceilings, cherry floors throughout, and custom paneled walls. The pool is adjacent to the spacious living, dining and kitchen area on the second floor. The backyard is partially fenced & very private. The roof top deck has a large stairway (not spiral)to relax and enjoy the sunsets. with 6 lounge chairs. Large wood paneled elevator. Shower in the garage. Recently purchased dining table that seats 10, new living room furniture, a folding Frontgate dining table for the pool deck seats 6. We have folding loungers for the pool deck, beach towels and pool toys. We are now in our tenth season working hard to give our guests a turn-key, pampered vacation. We have loaded up with quality linens and towels. Beach items include a few beach chairs, sturdy beach wagon, beach wheelie, umbrella, cooler, and beach toys. For those that love to cook - gourmet throughout - the best in cookware, knives, spices, oils and all the gadgets needed to prepare a wonderful meal from the plentiful fresh caught seafood and local produce available on the island. There are 2 ovens, 5 burner professional gas range, huge Kitchen Aid refrigerator and gorgeous granite. Additional fridge in the garage. Loads of baking dishes, sauté pans, huge pot for corn, crock pot, extra large waffle iron, hard anodized cookware, Keurig and regular coffee pots. We have DIRECT TV and of course high speed internet,, 5 flat screen TVs. Two king bed masters (one king master suite on the first floor with the other 3 bedrooms upstairs) with huge bathrooms, one with jacuzzi. Kids bedroom with bunk bed and two single beds. The fourth bedroom w/queen bed and trundle which becomes two singles. Each bedroom has a full bath - there is a powder room located off the large foyer. Pack n'play, toddler bed and queen aero bed. Toys for the younger kids. Gas grill is attached to propane supply - no worries about running out of gas!!! LATE MAY TO END AUGUST WE ARE A SATURDAY TO SATURDAY HOUSE. Please read our reviews. Three generations came down from the North for a Christmas getaway. Andrea the owner called when we were on our way down to let us know that we could check in due to the holiday which was much appreciated. We were checking in on Christmas Eve. She also had a tree set up so our presents immediately went under it. The house and the pool were great. I especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen because we had to cook our Christmas dinner there, even had a mixer for the mashed potatoes. We had one tiny hiccup as you do, but Andrea was great to work with via text. The location was perfect for either a walk to the beach or a quick trip to local restaurants. We especially liked Acme for breakfast and dinner. The house is large and well appointed. The beds were comfy and everything was clean. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This house was perfect for our stay! We were in town for a wedding and brought two sets of grandparents and small children and there was something for everyone! The house was especially well equipped for children. Andrea was so nice, responsive and easy to work with! We would definitely stay here again!

Within walking distance to just about everything (beach, grocery, tennis courts, restaurants, bars, etc.). Fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed. The pool and sun deck were awesome and a covered portion of the deck was perfect when you needed a break from the sun. We will definitely be back.

Like others, we loved this property. We had six adults, 2 teens and a 3-year-old and it was spacious enough for us. The house is light and airy and the kitchen was very well equipped, making cooking fun and easy. We loved the plunge pool right on the deck, it made it easy to swim and still socialize. Public beach access is just down the street, less than a 5 minute walk. We rented bikes and a golf cart and the week was really just perfect. We had one tiny issue and Andrea sent over a repairman immediately. Would definitely stay again.

We had such a wonderful time in Isle of Palms and at this home. The house had everything we needed, and was the most well-supplied/stocked vacation property we have seen. They had everything we could need! The private pool was perfect for our kids (4yo & 7yo) and the home’s size was great for our larger group of 7 people but also provided private spaces for everyone. The kids loves the bunk beds and toys. Andrea was a great host and easy to communicate with. We started talking about our next trip to IOP before this trip was even over! We can’t wait to come back.

This is the third time we have stayed here and it is a wonderful house. My grandchildren have grown from toddlers to teenagers and young adults and still enjoy the small pool.

Easy walk to the beach and pool next to the main living space was great for the grandkids.
Rooftop deck was spacious although was fairly hot so we didn't use much.
Two masters were very large with lots of closet space.
Signage throughout the house very helpful and communication with Andrea was easy.

We enjoyed our stay - the home is a very short walk to the beach access path and short drive to the grocery store/restaurants. The house had beach toys & chairs, plenty of towels and blankets, and our kids loved the heated pool. Our two families had lots of room to spread out. As a manual wheelchair user I found the elevator to work perfectly; it's small so likely would not fit a power chair. Andrea was great to communicate with and we'd definitely stay here again.

We rented out this BEAUTIFUL home to have a place for my family to celebrate the amazing occasion of my parents 50th wedding anniversary… the rooms are sooo spacious and gorgeous, the kitchen has ample of everything you could need, the pool heats up SUPER fast, and most of all Andrea was so helpful and responsive to the issues that occurred during our stay!! She was a great communicator and we LOVED having the sweet opportunity to celebrate with family there!!

My fiance and I rented this property for ourselves and our wedding party for the weekend of our wedding, and it was just magical. Much more spacious than we initially thought, we all had room to breathe and spread out and have both quiet moments and lovely group moments in the very cozy living room. This is our first time in IOP and couldn’t have asked for a better house. It has everything you need, from pots and pans, to all laundry essentials and toys for young children. It is literally 3 blocks from the beautiful beach. The heated pool is a great added bonus. Grocery stores, restaurants etc are within walking distance or a short 3 min drive. We stayed for two weeks in August. We brought our four kids along with parents for one week and in-laws for the other. No complaints. Andrea was responsive whenever we had a question. The property was clean and spacious. Fit our family perfectly. Location was great with a short walk to beach and close to IOP connector and Harris Teeter. Definitely recommend.

We had a great stay in IoP.
Beds were comfortable, beach towels and chairs provided, and property owner was easy to communicate with and responsive.
Easy walk to the beach, 1-1/2 blocks away, also playground a few blocks away for younger kids.
Pool was small but large enough that kids ranging from 6 to 16 could play in it and they really enjoyed it. We had 4 adults and 5 kids and had a great week. Would stay again. Thanks Andrea and Rowland.

We were overjoyed with the house. The photos online simply do not convey how glorious the house is.
The house was absolutely perfect for us - two families with two kids each (eight total). The elementary aged kids stayed in the room with the bunks and screamed with joy when they saw their room. The older child loved having his own room that he didn't have to share with the girls! We especially appreciated having two master bedrooms with private baths each so that the parents did not have to share with the kids. : ) The kitchen was stunning & well stocked. The dining room with its long table was invaluable and inviting. The deck was heavenly and we greatly appreciated the grill too!! The location of the home is incredible...... better to be a block from the ocean on a quiet street then right on the ocean with the busy traffic. The neighborhood is precious and incredible for walking. The pool was absolutely ideal and VERY loved by the kids. It was also incredible to have an outdoor shower.
Andrea, the host, was incredibly attentive and prompt in all inquiries or needs. She was a wonderful and kind host. We wholeheartedly recommend this VRBO. We even talked about renting it again.
Our favorite part was the warmth we felt in the home as we had our reunion with family members.
My only critical comment was that the home instructions appeared to be in various notes around the house. While that makes sense, I would suggest a notebook with all of the various instructions together.
Absolutely recommend and hope that we book again!!!
