We spent our New Years at this amazing location. The house was warm, inviting and had everything needed for a relaxed stay. Perched atop a hill overlooking the Great Waters golf course, a course designed by legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus, you awake in the morning to a picturesque view of the 9th Hole and the lake. Each day we walked the rolling terrain and lake side paths. We unfortunately didn’t get a chance to try the dining experiences offered at Great Waters but did sample the amazing cuisine at Lake Oconee Bistro and the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Shopping in the area is five stars. We highly recommend Lake Outfitters, which stocked all of our favorite brands. There is an extremely well equipped Ace Hardware and one of the best Publix grocery stores I’ve seen. The liquor store co located with Publix had many rare finds for the wine and liquor enthusiasts.
Communication with the hosts was top notch. Never hard to reach and always in contact. It was the ease of everything that made the stay so relaxing. The house became home very quickly and the only struggle was leaving.

Lovely, quiet location with great lake access and golf course view. Thea’ve thought of everything you might need during your stay. We cooked and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner here. Will have great family memories from our holiday! 💜

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay in this cottage! Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. The porch was lovely to sit on and there is a view of the lake. We enjoyed walking around the lake path and taking in the beautiful fall weather. Highly recommend this cottage!

Beautiful spot in Georgia lake country right on a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. Peaceful,quiet and tranquil— but close and convenient to the village and stores. Had our schedule allowed, we would liked to have stayed longer.

We had a weekend getaway to celebrate my son's birthday at this lovely lake house. Steve is a truly wonderful host. And, his house is so beautiful, and so comfortable. We loved both the location and the interior of this place a lot. The beach at the lake along with the pool by the water were the highlights of our stay. Both the mattresses and the pillows in the bedrooms were great! Every detail at the house was high quality and well made. I am so glad we made the right choice. Will be back for a longer stay for sure.

We had an amazing 10 day visit to Lake Oconee and our stay at this house was perfection with the golf course and lake views. It was just what we needed for our family of 4 and another family of 3 who came to visit. The dock was just down from the house and we were able to keep our boat there. The swimming pool and tennis courts were also a short walk and the kids really enjoyed. We also felt so safe letting the older kiddos run around. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all and relax, this is your house! The owners have thought of everything and the labels on the light switches were awesome! I need to do this to my own house. We hope to be back in the future for some lake livin’ at its finest!

We recently spent two nights at this property and had a fantastic time. The house was well stocked and had thorough instructions on everything (every cabinet said what was in it). The owner was attentive and contacted us multiple times to ensure we had a good time. We enjoyed the close proximity to the docks and pool. I will surely keep this property on my list of places to rent in the future. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is a family of 5 or 2 couples."

This is our first time to Lake Oconee and we are hooked! The house is beautiful and so cozy! Our family and friends enjoyed the back porch so much in the evenings. The kids loved running down to the dock to fish. The house had everything you could want or need during our stay. Beds are super comfortable and it’s decorated so cute!! Spacious living room and kitchen area. Very clean. Highly recommend!! We will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this past weekend at this beautiful home on Lake Oconee. Steven was incredible with checking in on us to make sure that we had everything we needed. I should mention he even left a goody bag for us upon our arrival to use while my son was playing in a local golf tournament. Will definetely stay here again!!

This place was the perfect spot for a birthday get away weekend for our family. A beautiful home with great views of the golf course and lake. Kitchen has everything you need as well as an amazing Keurig and coffee bar! Kitchen was so well stocked and easy to prepare meals in. Owners were quick to respond with any questions. I felt like we were renting from friends. Fun playing on the tennis courts, walking the beautiful lakeside neighborhood and enjoying a beautiful lunch at the nearby Gabby’s at the Ritz! We can’t wait to come back!!

We absolutely loved everything about our stay! We had a great view of the golf course and the lake. The home was extremely clean, well equipped and decorated beautifully. The host were in touch with us throughout our stay to make sure everything was as we expected it to be. I would highly recommend this property and when we go back to Lake Oconee we will definitely stay here. 10 out of 10!!!!!

This house was perfect for a golf getaway. Great location, beautifully maintained and decorated. The owners were great to work with, very flexible and gave us great insight to the local community.

Fantastic Lake House
We stayed at Lake Oconee for a college golf tournament and were not disappointed, this place is great! The location on the 9th fairway was excellent and Steve and Bonnie have thought of everything! From marking all of the light switches to the toiletries like toothbrushes and razors in case you forget something. I wish all of the rentals we’ve stayed at were this well organized. We will definitely be staying here again!

Steven and Bonnie, your home has set the standards for all other VRBO’s. We have stayed in many homes over the years and though many of them were wonderful, NONE were as fully equipped and stocked as yours – even to the dog leashes available for the furry friends!
The home was exceptionally clean, the beds and home furnishings are extremely comfortable. We really appreciated the labeling of all the light switches as well as the detailed instructions on how to work the TV’s.
The home’s location in the cul-de-sac allows for quiet enjoyment of the beautiful view of the Great Waters golf course and the lake from the rear yard.
In all, the home exceeded our expectations in every regard. Many thanks for being such a great host and for “thinking” of everything that your guests may need to make their “vacation” the most enjoyable time ever.
