It’s moments from the beech which was fab and an easy walk to Santa Monica Pier (4 mins away). Free parking. Lovely host. Despite being in the mix it is a super quiet location. We were perhaps a little too cosy for 5 of us but that’s just us. Lovely welcome basket. I watched hummingbirds from the private patio (look up at the nectar feeder). Thank you Dayle.

We stayed at this location for my son’s 13th birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. Private, perfect location to everything we needed. Dale was an awesome host; leaving us lots of goodies and all essentials. We were able to put some groceries in the house and eat breakfast before starting our days. Parking was easy; we felt safe, and we enjoyed ourselves so so much. If we find ourselves in CA again- we would definitely look to stay here again. Everything was perfect and we felt so comfortable- it felt like home away from home. Thank you for the experience.

This property is perfect for a visit to Los Angeles. One can walk to the beach and a multitude of restaurants. The living space is bright and the owners are very attentive to detail. We have stayed here a few times and highly recommend it!

This is a beautiful seaside beach cottage with good bones and good vibes. I love the decor. The home is very clean. It’s within walking distance of all eateries and shopping in Santa Monica and less than a block from the beach. The home is well appointed with everything you need. I got the best rest I have had in a long time. The hostess is glam, lovely, warm and cares and is concerned about your overall stay. I couldn’t have been happier. I will definitely return. This stay did not disappoint!

1 1/2 blocks from the beach… three blocks from action on Ocean Blvd? The location is prime.
But the space is curated in a way that makes you appreciate your visit, more than you might otherwise.
In my experience, most hotels in Santa Monica are modern or trying to be so.
This is a proper beach cottage!
The pictures are 100% accurate and the hostess (Dayle), was super attentive.
I’m booking my next trip now.

Property was excellent for us, 2 adults and 2 teens (15&13). Sofa bed and pull out single upstairs. We could walk everywhere we needed or Uber to anything a bit further out. Dayle was very helpful. Especially when I blew the power trying to use my UK hairdryer! Tips for first time brits- bring a voltage converter adapter!! (There is hairdryer available in the room-I just wanted mine as needed diffuser). Excellent stay would definitely recommend.

Excellent place to stay for a beach vacation in Santa Monica. Just one block to the sand and the pier. Dayle was very helpful and told us everything we needed when we arrived.

What a wonderful stay! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and snacks that we all devoured. Just a 5 minute walk to the Santa Monica Pier, shops, restaurants etc! We’d get up each morning and walk along the beach. Our kids (12, 10, and 7) would grab the two scooters and join us to walk and get coffee. So close to muscle beach and our kids loved challenging themselves on the slack lines. We have literally everything we could have needed- the owners provided beach towels (nice big ones!), a cooler, beach chairs, and nice boogie boards. We hope to stay again if we make our way back to Santa Monica someday and will recommend this place to anyone we know going.

The first thing you see and smell are the lovely flowers and honeysuckles surrounding the property. The sand was so close and all the beach items needed were provided. The house was gorgeous and updated. The kids took the upstairs and husband and I were down stairs. Definitely want to return. Thank you so much for the hospitality!

My family of four stayed over Memorial Day weekend. This house was the perfect spot for our Los Angeles vacation. I know others have mentioned it, but the beach is literally 2 minutes away. Wake up and drink your coffee on the beach then be in Downtown LA in 20 minutes. We were nervous about parking over the holiday weekend but we always had a spot reserved on the street or in the parking lot nearby. The house was spacious enough for my two teenage daughters to spread out and we enjoyed the bottle of wine and snacks that were there for us at check in. So much is nearby and walkable, I just wish we would have had 5 more days to explore and relax!

My family and I had a fantastic stay at this property. The owner was incredibly warm and friendly, greeting us upon arrival and walking us through the property. Everything was clean, well maintained, and fully in line with the listing details. So many details were taken care of including leaving us with snacks and a bottle of wine as well as everything my family needed for a day at the beach including blankets, chairs, umbrellas, towels, and toys. Most of all, the location could not be better, as it is only a 1/2 block from the beach and a few blocks away from downtown Santa Monica and the pier. We will definitely be recommending this property to family and friends!

Very nice 1 BR/1 BA carriage house with friendly, thoughtful, and helpful owners who live in the main house. They provided some provisions including wine, snacks, coffee, half and half.
The kitchen is small but has the essentials including a gas range, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer combo, over/under washer/dryer.
Bedroom and bath are on first floor with kitchen and sleeper couch and futon are up a (pretty steep) flight of stairs. There is a narrow view of the ocean from the kitchen and dining area upstairs. AC and heat both worked well (separate units upstairs and down) and we used both in our short stay. Small terrace next to the unit with furniture and coffee table for meal or drinks in appropriate weather. Lots of beach gear.
Location is good, with the beach just steps away, numerous restaurants close by and the Santa Monica pier and amusement park just a couple of blocks north.

The location is perfect; Dayle was a great host; and the carriage house is perfectly set up for a beach stay. Our family of four (including two kids aged 5 and 7) felt very well cared for. It is an easy walk to the beach, the Santa Monica Pier, 3rd Street Promenade, and Venice Beach. The kids loved the provided beach toys, and we loved the convenient parking and the complimentary bottle of wine. What a great home base when visiting family in LA. Thanks, Dayle!

This place is an amazing location just steps from the beach and a few minutes walk to the Santa Monica pier! The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for our family with 3 young kids. Dayle was a very attentive host and even provided sand toys, scooters, a crib and booster seat for our kids! We had a wonderful stay here in Santa Monica and would highly recommend.

I loved the Carriage House so much that I've already booked a week in the spring! As a former VRBO property owner, I know all the preparation and hard work that goes into making a rental attractive and comfortable and "easy" for the renter, and this beautiful space showcases all the effort. The space is welcoming, safe, comfortable, beautifully outfitted and decorated. The location is perfect and the parking easy (and free thanks to a resident's pass!). I look forward to returning!

We love this hidden gem in the heart of Santa Monica's beach area. We walked to many places and enjoyed the quiet residential location near the beach. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here (last time with our daughters, this time with my husband) & it was just as amazing as the first. Perfect size with a kitchen, robes, beach chairs, beach towels, and everything we needed for a comfortable, lovely stay. We appreciated the wine, water, and thoughtful snacks the owner provided. The owner was very accommodating and kept us informed about everything, including when we could check in. We recommend this property highly and look forward to coming back!

We loved this place. The location is perfect for a beach stay. All needed beach equipment provided. 3 blocks from Santa Monica Pier and an easy drive to all LA tourist sites.
2 on street parking passes available. Owners even came to alert us to move our car on Wednesday morning when they were dong street cleaning which saved us a ticket.
The owner does live in the front of the property and we stayed in the carrige house. We would definetly stay there again and recommend to anyone visiting LA.
