That house was NOT renovated in this Century. The listing was completely inaccurate. It was NOT just dirty it was dusty and filthy everywhere. Many items did NOT work or were missing altogether (ice maker, paper towels, shower heads, A/C, etc.) IF someone did clean it, they must be fired!! The worst VRBO listing that I ever encountered!! Someone from VRBO MUST contact us. Pricing was way out of line!!

This could be a great house if the host would put in more of an effort. It wasn’t the cleanest. The finished basement space had cobwebs and spiders and mold had not been cleaned in months. The oven had bits of food left in it. All the pots, pans and dishes had to be cleaned before we used them. There wasnt any dish soap or dishwasher detergent and only 1 used sponge to clean. The forth bedroom was tiny 7x5 could only fit a twin bed and a suitcase which should have been clear in the description. Also all the linens were old and dingy in every room. There is a smart tv but no cable which also should be in the description. The highlights were the living room and the master bedroom both great spaces. The location is great just a 7 min walk to the Main Street in town.

The house is located just a short walk from town and from Lake Mansfield and a short drive to all the attractions of the Berkshires. Communication with owner was excellent. He was responsive to all issues that came up. A very pleasant screened in porch was a real plus. Large screen tv in a large and comfotable living room. Excellent internet access and wifi. Location feels more suburban than rural, but it is just a short walk or drive to a more "country" feel.

Aside from the excellent location on a quiet street near the heart of Great Barrington, this is a lovely home with plenty of space for our family to relax. We cooked several meals in the well-appointed kitchen and enjoyed the massive TV for movies. No problems with wifi or water pressure in the shower, my two biggest travel priorities! We especially loved the back porch - perfect for meals and quiet reading. The owner bent over backwards to help us resolve a few issues. Just a note that while the kitchen and living room were brightly lit, the bedrooms are rather dim so plan accordingly. Would gladly stay here again.

The house has everything you need, and communication with the owner was great. There was nothing to disturb our stay. We greatly enjoyed the Great Barrington area. Made one day trip to New York City. Made another to the Norman Rockwell Museum an hour or so away. We lucked out with cool Berkshires weather – lower 70s the whole time..

We had a great stay at this Great Barrington house. The location can’t be beat - house is in a quaint, quiet neighborhood and an easy stroll into town. Loved being able to walk to get a cup of coffee or takeout without having to get into the car. Plus there was a great playground for the kids along the way. The house was very comfortable and had plenty of space for our family (2 adults, 3 kids ages 3-7). As a bonus the fourth bedroom is not pictured on the listing but was a great kids room with twin over full bunk and a trundle bed. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely house in Great Barrington

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this large, clean, and comfortable house! There was so much space, and we especially loved reading on the screened-in porch. As a non-driver, the location was especially ideal for me--a short walk to Great Barrington where there are tons of grocery store options and other cute shops. I enjoyed running around McAllister Park and Lake Mansfield, and we drove a short distance to Monument Mountain. We would definitely want to come back!

Lovely house - amazing porch!

Lovely house in the super-cute town of Great Barrington. Very accessible to town (walking distance) in a nice residential neighborhood and close to Lake Mansfield. Stayed during COVID, so cultural events not open, but we came to hike with our kids in the surrounding area and got more out of the town than we expected in terms of shops and amenities. The house can sleep a lot of people if needed, but also did not feel too large for a family of four. Our absolute favorite thing was the adorable screened in porch - it was a perfect spot for meals and just sitting out in the evening -could have spent 90% of our time on the porch! Owners are relatively new to renting so as of our stay the house needs a couple adjustments in terms of what is stocked in the kitchen (no coffeemaker or toaster when we stayed) but would definitely recommend and stay again.

Nice home, great location

Clean and spacious home in a very nice neighborhood. Very close walking to lake and to downton with natural foods market, restaurants, and shops. Close driving distance to hiking, botanical garden, other. A/C window units kept all the rooms cool. We really enjoyed spending time in the screened in porch with a lovely mountain view and made use of a very nice bbq. Extra paper towels, toilet paper, laundry and dishwashing detergent, and more on hand to use as needed.

The house is recently updated and comfortable. We spent three nights in it and really liked the nice touches. We were met with a bottle of wine on the day we arrived. There were plenty of towels and supplies in all the bathrooms and the kitchen.
