Enjoyed our stay, but would not stay there again until construction completed.

View was spectacular, staff were wonderful. Room was large. Terrific location.

We were not told about the construction beforehand. Lack of restaurant was bad. Bar was comfortable and friendly but smelled musty.

We all had an amazing time! We were treated like kings and queens the entire stay! So much fun!😎

Our 5 day stay was amazing! The staff, the food, the massages, the pool guys, gift shop, the valet, and Oscar the server to my meals in my room were ALL 💯! I wish I would have stayed longer than 5 days. I would recommend this place to anyone. We also caught a 150 lb bluefin tuna 75 miles off Catalina island. Ask the concierge for assistance. Tell her you want the same boat Luv and Tom took! ( or fbk me at Luv Lee Russell- Denver Co. I just can’t say enough about this place… 5 ⭐️ for sure! Perfect vaca! You have to experience the place yourself. I would return in a heartbeat.❤️

Food /drink prices. Pet deposit was high. No designated place for my dogs to urinate and poop.

Frustrating and gross experience

The room has no AC, the carpet was dirty and bathroom was old. The toilet barely flushed and the shower water temperature was impossible to control (almost burnt my kid!) There was hair in the tub. Checkin was not smooth at all, we waited with a cranky toddlers for 3 hours to get a room in the lobby and no one cares. The room was filled with marijuana smell from outside and we need to open the windows due to lack of AC. The front desk staff was not welcoming, just repeating some official response without actually helping. It was definitely NOT an $800/night resort quality experience. I regret booking this. We will not be going back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

The property is run down and a bit dated and is need of renovations. The pool is extremely small for a property of that size.

absolutely amazing! the view is breathtaking and the staff is super friendly.

the location, view and amazing service from staff.

the keurig machine was DISGUSTING. we poured water in there and saw floating transparent build up. they pretend like to my clean their remotes by placing them into a cloth bag, but it was so nasty. these are small things but it makes you think of what else isn’t being actually cleaned (like they claim)

Double Check your receipt, they tend to charge you for things that you didn't purchase. Just saying. But its an amazing resort.

This is an iconic hotel. The location is world class. Service is outstanding. The food is very good. Pool rocks. And you are on the beach. On it. I love staying here.

This is a minor quibble, but the Surf & Sand is a little dated. I could also argue that’s part of its charm.
