That said, we highly recommend the Altea Old Town with its picturesque views of the Mediterranean Sea, ancient architecture, and traditional whitewashed walls.
What to do?
When you visit a destination like Altea, it's logical to prioritize time to soak up the sun on the pristine beaches like Playa de la Roda, Platja de l'Espigó, and the popular Playa de Altea. However, Altea is also home to a number of historical sites like the Parròquia de Nostra Senyora del Consol with its distinctive blue domes and the Plaza de la Iglesia located next door, so consider taking some time during your vacation to explore the ancient landmarks of this coastal city. Last but not least, consider spending some time in the great outdoors at the Sierra Helada Natural Park while you're in town.
