About this condo rental
Located in Savannah, this lovely condo for $1,282 per night is a great option for your next break. SPRING SPECIALS: ASK ABOUT OUR MID-WEEK DISCOUNTS! (holidays excluded) At approximately 5,000 square feet, The Metropolitan Loft embodies a true Manhattan-style loft experience with exposed beams, spacious windows and structural columns. Guests will enter off the street into a glam foyer, up a flight of stairs into the living room and kitchen gallery. Center stage is the floating kitchen with custom oyster shell Quartz countertops, Miele, Sub Zero and Wolf appliances and 6 bar stools at the island. Behind the kitchen is an office/pantry area with built in desk, chair and cabinets stocked for cooking and entertaining. The living room is lux, velvety and sprawling and curated with comfort in mind. Originally designed by Phoebe Howard for former owner/developer Ben Carter; Ms. Howard chose mid century Italian armchairs, a Danish rosewood console with midnight blue velvets that soften the minimalistic lines. Flanking the living room on either side you find the dining area that seat 8-10 and a private library with comfy seating and a desk for remote working. The library includes books about art and history and dozen or so, board games for some fun brain food. From the main living space, there are hallways on both sides that lead to bedrooms. On the right hallway, first is The Green Room with a queen size bed, closet and wall mounted tv. An elegant marble-tiled full-bathroom is across the hall. Next is The Master Suite with huge walk-in closet and a dreamy en suite bathroom. The Master bed is a king size with sofa seating & wall mounted TV. Note the hardwood floors were hand painted by local artist, Bob Christian in a dynamic geometric pattern with soothing hues of creams and blues. This leads to the divine master bath with a soaking tub and spacious walk-in shower. On the left side of the loft down the other hallway, you will find The Brick Bedroom, with exposed brick wall and king sized bed, smart TV and en suite bathroom. This blue bathing beauty has a walk-in shower. The laundry room is hidden behind gorgeous, vintage double doors. Aside from the usual washer & dryer, there is an EXTRA full sized fridge and a chest freezer! Next you find the Jack 'n Jill bedrooms with sliding "barn doors". On the left is Jill's Room with a full size bed and wall mounted TV. Sliding pocket doors lead into the Jack 'n Jill bathroom that features a large shower/tub combo and expansive vanity. Jack's room is on the other side with a king size bed and TV. **NOTE: These bedrooms do not have doors to close off the bedrooms from each other; although the bathroom is large and in between the bedrooms, it fills the middle space nicely. Last, but not least is The Game Room with an air hockey table, Smart TV and some soft, loungy spots. TVs: All TVs are new & ready to stream your favorite apps. Please bring your login info as we do NOT have cable. PARKING: GARAGE: We have a private, SINGLE car garage for your use. This garage is NARROW, so oversized vehicles may be problematic. Parking for additional vehicles: ONE block over is the Lincoln Street Parking Garage. You can purchase digital passes online to park here. OR Download the app "ParkSavannah" to pay meters from your phone. OR Contact the City of Savannah Parking Services Office for 12 or 24 hour parking passes. OCCUPANCY: We have a maximum capacity of 10 people (including children/infants) at ANY TIME, no exceptions. NOISE: This property is NOT PARTY friendly. We do not allow loud noise, music or parties of any sort. NO BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE PARTIES! Minimum age to reserve is 25 years old, no exceptions. Cancellations: LARGER properties, such as this, are more difficult to book, therefore we have a strict NO REFUNDS cancellation policy: NO refunds for any reason including, but not limited to illness, death in the family, event cancellation, weather, hurricane, or airline issues. What an amazing rental with all the luxury amenities at our disposal. With 5 bedrooms with comfy beds, 4 bathrooms, large living room/dining room beautifully decorated and a huge modern kitchen equipped with everything we could ever need, everyone was extremely happy and comfortable with our accommodations. The location was perfect for walking around downtown and we always felt safe. Having the one car garage available for our use made it very convenient for those few times we did need a car and the parking garage was even closer than we had realized. Knowing we had reserved parking spaces removed the worry of where to park. The weather was absolutely gorgeous with warm temperatures and we would love to return to Savannah soon and stay again at this gorgeous home. It was definitely the nicest VRBO that we have ever stayed in during our travels. Thank you!!! Linda

We spent five nights in this property between Christmas and New Years. The property was very nice and had more than enough room for our family group of 8. The kitchen was probably the best equipped of any rental we ever had. The location was excellent within walking distance of almost everything we wanted to visit.

8 college friends (now in our mid 50's) stayed here for 3 nights. Plenty of space and within walking distance of all the main Savannah sights. I would recommend this home to anyone needing lots of space.

Beautiful place with plenty of space for our large family. Close to everything. The living room furniture needs a massive upgrade but everything was cozy.

Place was comfortable but had certain details that detracted from the place:
Garage had only one parking place and was on dirty, ugly side of building. No direct entrance to loft. There was an elevator but access from garage was blocked off. Entrance to garage always had a wet puddle. These garage details certainly did not give a feeling of the luxury that was advertised.
No door to bathroom in master bedroom. Everyone uncomfortable with no privacy for toilet use.
Dead bugs on floor of master bedroom.
Vrbo sent addition fee after our stay. We had already divided cost amongst us. I had made the reservation so was left to pay this entire additional fee. I never had this problem with Vrbo before.
Brick wall king room had no place to plug in lamp. Nearest bathroom had running toilet. Cover had to be removed each time to lift floater.
Lack of electrical outlets and charging ports,.
Missing remote controls for TV and air unit.
One of the entrance keys did not work. Front door was hard to open.

Truly a beautiful property that shows just like the photos.
Some minor frustrations such as the front door being difficult to open, the garage door getting stuck closed, and some of the technology in the house being inaccessible will allow the property to grow to five stars.

We had 9 women in Savannah for 4 days. Wonderful property. Easy walking distance to great restaurants, historic areas, and river. Walked everywhere . Great time! Plenty of space and community areas. Would rent again !

Suzanne was wonderful to deal with before, during and after our stay at the Metropolitan. She was very accommodating and knowledgeable; each request I had whether it was for information or early arrival, she went above and beyond.The Metropolitan is in the perfect location and the space itself was fantastic for our group. We were a party of 10 adults and there was plenty of room for us. The main loft area is huge- the ideal place for us all to be together- watch tv, play games and hang out. The kitchen has up to date, high end appliances all clean and in great condition. Bedrooms are all comfortable with luxury sheets, bathrooms have plenty of soft towels and the office/game room/ den areas gave us the option for privacy to get some remote work done when needed. The only other comment I’d make is in regard to the 2 bedrooms with the jack & jill bathroom between them... if traveling with kids I’d recommend that they sleep in those. It’s sort of like being in a college dorm room or at sleep away camp. Because of the way those two rooms are designed there is some visual privacy but no sound privacy at all. I chose to stay in one and had one of sons and daughter-in-law in the other. At bedtime we were all giggling when saying/whispering good night.Thank you Suzanne for bringing this property to my attention and helping me to create beautiful memories with my family for my mom’s 80th birthday celebration!

This is an incredible stay for a large group in the heart of Savannah. The home is beautifully furnished with everything and more you could ever need. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

One of the few times I can say the pictures don’t do it justice. Beautifully decorated. Enough space for everyone to spread out and have some space when needed. Simple to communicate with property manager and the manager was very responsive.
Bonus, we got to watch the St.Paddy day parade right from the loft.
Stay here! You will not regret it!

This unit is in a very walkable area of Savannah with every type of shop and restaurant nearby. The decor is outstanding and it is both functional and gorgeous. It had everything we needed for 2 couples and their 4 (early-twenties) kids. We had plenty of space to spread out but also to have nice family time.

We came for a girls weekend and had a wonderful time staying in this very spacious condo near the River. The decor was high end, and the location was several blocks from the river, which enables us to walk all around downtown. I highly recommend this condo and would come back to stay in the future!

We stayed at this property for the weekend to attend a cousin’s wedding. There were 5 adults aged 65 and older, 4 adults that were 40 and over and one 9-year-old girl. The property is beautiful and accommodates 10 people comfortably. Great location in Savannah. No issues at all with the property itself, however the property management company is another story.
Our party left the rental in pristine condition and met all the check-out requirements. Two weeks after we checked out, the credit card on file was charged. There was no advance notice or email sent pertaining to the charge. The contract does specify that the card on file can be charged without notice, however it would’ve been nice to have received advance notification of why we were being charged as a courtesy.
I emailed the property management company to inquire about the charge. Not only were we accused of damaging a sliding door that one touched during our stay, but the email correspondence was rude and unprofessional, words in ALL CAPs/exclamation points as if she was screaming at me, as well as a very condescending tone. Not to mention the ongoing back and forth correspondence only after we inquired about the charges. Communication upon discovery of a problem, immediately after check-out, would have proven itself to be more beneficial. Especially since the property manager stated that is when she noticed the door was damaged.
The charge to the card is not a deal-breaker, the issue is the accusatory emails and the response (tone) from management when details about the charge were requested. While communicating with management, we were told that “we knew what happened to the door” but we honestly did not touch the door. The door appeared to be decorative so there would have been no need to close it. We were also reminded how expensive and exclusive that the property is however the management company’s professionalism does not match in comparison.
In hindsight, we should have taken the time to read some of the online reviews of the property management for the rental. Several previous renters had similar experiences with damage accusations and the level of unprofessionalism. Lesson learned.
My advice to anyone renting this property, be sure to take pictures or videos when you check-out and have zero expectations from the property management company.

We stayed here for a girl's weekend and the place was incredible. I've never stayed in a property so nice! Some of the previous reviews mentioned communication issues and smelling the restaurant... we did not experience either of those issues. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

we loved staying at this lovely property. we did not enjoy finding out that the shower was broken and inoperable, on a sticky note left on the glass shower door . we were surprised that such an elegant property would not contact us prior to our check in to let us know that the shower did not work in one of the bathrooms.

We came for a girls weekend, but you can easily fit two families in here for a longer stay. Very spacious, comfy beds, soft towels, and impeccable interior design. The kitchen was ready for whatever you wanted to cook up. We easily walked everywhere. Having a garage was convenient, plus there was plenty of street parking for our other car. There were a few minor hiccups, but communication with the property manager was excellent. You can smell the restaurant below when you first walk in, but it dissipates as you walk up the stairs into the main room. We would definitely stay here again.
