Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Dinner was incredible, but the Highland full fry up breakfast was a truly great experience. Also, the shampoo smells amazing.

The setting is exceptional. The rooms stylish and comfortable. The restaurant meals are very good. Staff helpful and friendly.

Comfortable room with great service, but we paid peak rate.

Comfortable, "traditional" room with its own style, rather than a replicate room of a chain hotel. The view over the Kyle was lovely. Our room was quiet with good blinds keeping out the early sunrise, so we sleep very well. We received a warm welcome, and friendly and efficient service from all staff. The restaurant served excellent dinner and breakfast, the latter included in the price.

Price. We stayed on a day when there were almost no accommodation vacancies in the area and paid a considerable premium over the standard rate we have seen on other websites. While this was ok for one night, it would have prevented us staying longer had we wished. Parking. Main parking is in a "lay-by" on the main road. That was full so we parked at the back of the hotel.

Dining, meal size poor given pricing ( currry) breakfast abysmal....staff ignore you, no yoghurt or fruit without asking, not offered hot breakfast menu, coffee or toast. Walked out in disgust after 15 mins wait. Have advised manager.

One of the best hotels on our trip, really enjoyed.

Great hotel, recently very tastefully updated, looks great. Great food, great service, very helpful. Manager very helpful and friendly. Impressive. Would love to stay there again. Thanks for a lovely stay

The best stay so far on our NC500 trip

Beautiful location- scenery is stunning. Hotel welcoming, comfortable and high quality decor and furnishings. Bedroom and en-suite were very good size and tastefully furnished and warm and comfortable. All the staff were very welcoming, polite and friendly - special mention to the front of house duty manager who made us very welcome- we had arrived 3 hours early. The food was delicious and service excellent. We thoroughly recommend this hotel as a must for a stopover on the NC500 trip or to stay for a few days.

just looked to have carried out a major refurbished and looks lovely. just opened the day before we arrived so still a bit chaotic but the staff were lovely and providing us with a lovely bottle of Prosecco as compensation was a lovely touch. setting fabulous. hope it’s a great success.

Totally amazing stay

This hotel has been completely refurbished and is wonderfully comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were both superb.

Lovely hotel with great staff. Room was very big and clean, with complimentary gifts on arrival. Breakfast was included and food was very good. Room with a view over the water, would highly recommend staying here.

We felt like the Duke and Duchess

We had the Duke of Sutherland room: wow!! View on the ruins of the castle, fireplace, old-school luxury. Great beds. Rebekha is a great host.

Restaurant / menu is a bit dull, a bit conservative (fitting the location though)

Touch of indulgence, but a bit expensive.

Excellent location again along the NC500. Great meals - both dinner and breakfast. Nice walks close by. Rooms very spacious.

The price was expensive. The barman needs a bit more training.
