Everything was what I expected as regards breakfast however staying a night was a fascinating experience, thoroughly enjoyable studying the furnishings.
All good

A living museum, so much atmosphere. Friendly host, central location in a picturesque street.

Wonderful historic location, easy walk to many cultural sites. It’s a collectibles museum reimagined as tourist accommodation. The owner communicates clearly and provided flexibility in check in times.
It’s one thing to be surrounded by antiques everywhere you look, but I found the sheets, towels and furnishings of a similar vintage to be in need of replacement. The inclusion of “do it yourself” breakfast in the owners kitchen does not provide healthy or quality options.
In spite of being reminded a few times this is the “#1 B&B” in St Johns, I think some touches of local products that improve the guest experience would go a long way.
Guests need to be comfortable with stairs, low lighting and shared bathroom use. Limited space for opening suitcases in room.

Bill is a charming host and the property is delightful - full of historical character.
