The staff were exceptional. Every single one made our stay wonderful. Shout out to Jeff, Lana, and the lovely chap who sorted the bill and got our suitcases down the stairs!

The hotel was amazing.
A natural corner in the city ! đ
We really enjoyed this boutique hotel, the charm, the details and the kindness of the staff was really amazing.
The room was clean and well decorated, maybe some improvements for the shower but the colonial style is welcoming you in any corner. The breakfast space was surrounded by plants as the swimming pool on top where they offered us a drink since it was our honey moon :) it was the best choice for RIO!

Really nice/unique hotel. The reception/breakfast and rooftop areas are really nice, and the rooms are of a very good size.
Staff were very helpful with bringing/taking our luggage up/down the steps and the breakfast staff were also very attentive.
Staff were also helpful with trying to find transport options.
Quite a lot of steps, which we didn't mind so much but may be off-putting for older people.
On one of the nights our uber driver dropped us at the bottom of the hill as he thought it was too close to a favela - it wasn't as it's quite far away - but he wouldn't budge. I should add, we had no issues with our other 4 ubers to the hotel, so it may have just been a one-off.

A lot of ants in bed / room. Hotel not very clean. Breakfast bad. Neighbourhood not nice
