The room size was great. The breakfast quality and the happy hour were superb. I booked the hotel for the swimming pool, as I am a triathlete. It had a good length for training although it was a bit cold.
The gym equipment could be a bit more modern (with a power meter bike). The swimming pool could be slightly heated in winter.

Everything - big and comfy rooms. Accommodating and extremely kind staff, supreme location yet quiet. We were with our 10-month-old daughter and they arranged a crib, a bath, and even cooked baby food at the restaurant. Couldn’t be nicer to enjoy Rio! We stayed in many hotels in Zona Sul before, but this is definitely our top choice for this time in our lives.

As it is the case with many old hotels in Rio, the prices are absolutely unjustifiable. This is an ok hotel with simple rooms. Location however, is excellent and the staff is professional even though not proactive.
Price vs offer. Simple rooms, towels and sheets of a 3 star hotel.
