I travelled by train from Porto to Pocinho which is a somewhat remote station. The hotel arranged in advance a taxi for me which was there on my arrival. It brought me straight to the hotel where I received a very warm welcome indeed. The hotel itself is beautiful with period furnishings. I left by bus from the nearby bus station the next day and before leaving had a delicious breakfast which included scrambled eggs cooked specially for me.

This property was available and local to the area after another property booked through booking.com was not open!! and cancelled our stay.
The property was less interesting than the photo.
