Nestled in Lake Lure, this lovely house for $625 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. "Retreat on Bald Mountain Lake" is a tranquil and inviting home, with 2 levels of decks and a screened porch to enjoy the views of waterfront living, vacation style. Upon arrival , parking is at the front door. A half bath is also easily assessable as you enter the front door. And inside on the main floor, your fun and entertainment awaits with a contemporary, remodeled and well stocked Kitchen, a beautiful maple bar and Dining room with seating for 12, a half bath at the foyer, all open to the Family room with 55" TV, DVD/VCR and SONOS music system, as well as glass fireplace ,flowing out onto the upper deck and screened porch, which is especially enjoyable during a summer rain .Tables and chairs for extra dining for 12 on the decks and porch offer additional dining venues ,all on the waterfront. Bedroom #1 is a Master suite with-1 King bed ,walk-in closet, private bath and lake front view. Bedroom #2 is the second Master suite with 1 Queen bed, walk in closet and private bath with tub. These are both on main level allowing those who want to be stair free, but amidst all the togetherness. Above the Kitchen and Dining room is a cozy Loft area, for those that want to slip away, curl up and read a book, or gaze out onto the water. A sofa at the window, pulls out into a double bed for extra sleeping. Back at the main level, head down the stairs to the Media/Game room with sofas and seating, a 65" TV and Blu Ray player, and 3 game table. A Library will keep readers of all ages entertained, as well as board and card games and puzzles. Bedroom #3 with 2 -Twin beds with lake front view, a spacious centrally located bath, separate Laundry room with ice maker, additional refrigerator, and separate chest freezer will accommodate extra food storage. Lastly, Bedroom# 4 with 1 Queen bed will be a joy to awake viewing the lake. The 3rd full bath is there for both bedroom 3 and 4 to share. Our Linen closet is fully stocked with beach and pool towels, bath towels, bed linens, extra pillows and blankets. The lower deck has rocking chairs, a bean bag toss and as well as additional seating. The gas fire pit sits directly in front of the lake's edge. A few more steps down and a private boat dock with a hammock, a swing, or chairs, kayaks, paddle board, fishing gear and 18'x6' floating dock mat , plenty of floats and life jackets and the beautiful glistening water of Bald Mountain Lake. All of the amenities, 4 restaurants and security inside the gates of Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure (formerly known as Rumbling Bald Resort ), and Bald Mountain Golf Course, voted #6 in North Carolina, as well as the white sandy beaches of Lake Lure are only a 5 minute walk away. A Great hiking and biking trails are 1/2 mile from the home. The Tryon Equestrian Center for the international FEI 2018 WEG Games is 25 minutes away, as well as Asheville, Burnt Shirt Winery, Cedar Creek Stables, Saluda, Hendersonville, Bat Cave and Chimney Rock are all under an hours drive from Lake Lure.

Beautiful, well-equipped home in the perfect location. Our family enjoyed having lake access in the backyard and the ability to easily leverage the Rumbling Bald resort amenities when we wanted a change of scenery. The hosts were first-class. Would def stay again. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful getaway with my family at this lake house. We had 6 adults and 5 kids, and there was enough space and activities to keep us all busy for the week. It really is the best of both worlds being on a quieter lake, while still being able to play on Lake Lure. Sherri was a wonderful host, and made sure you had everything you needed.

We all liked the house, especially the screened in porch. Everyone had their own space and it was nice having the resort amenities. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. The kitchen was well stocked—even had a waffle iron, which we did use. The only negative might be the number of stairs to the lake for someone with mobility issues.

Our family had a wonderful first experience with a lake vacation! Sheri’s house was perfect for our family. It was stocked with everything we needed and more.We all loved the lake and the “fun” toys provided. My three grandsons found a new love of kayaking and paddle boarding. The amenities at Rumbling Bald were an added bonus for all of us! If you are considering a lake vacation, this is the place you want to go!

Family fun at the lake!
We had a family vacation at this home which was great for our needs. The host Sheri was very easy to work with and took extra effort to make our stay special, including homemade cookies and a watermelon! Our grandkids loved all the lake toys, especially the water island. We enjoyed the amenities of Rumbling Bald; pool was nice although the river ride is pretty small but enjoyable for young kids. We all enjoyed the beach too. We rented a boat to go on Lake Lure. The only disappointment was eating at the Legends- pizza oven was down and the other food was marginal. We all cook meals so we did not really expect to eat out, as there are typically not many restaurants on lakes, which is the case here. The kitchen is nicely stocked, even with spices, and nice to have beach towels. We made some wonderful family memories here. My granddaughter left a special item behind and Sheri us get it back!

Excellent Family Vacation
Sheri's house is a dream home to vacation in. The amenities in the house are top-notch and the outdoor equipment is the icing on the cake. My family loves kayaking and using the floating dock or just floating on the water. Sheri greets you at the door and personally walks you through the house which is such a refreshing change. This was our second vacation here and we'll probably come back again.

Although this property is in the Lake Lure area, it is actually on Rumbling Bald Lake, a quiet, private lake just north of Lake Lure where motorized boats are not permitted. It is the PERFECT location - the amenities of Lake Lure (swimming pool, pontoon boat rental, tennis, restaurant, golf) are a just a short, easy drive. This house has a covered dock from which kayaks (provided) can be launched, or enjoy the huge water mat that can be floated out to the middle of the lake to catch the later afternoon sun. The kitchen is well-stocked - a starter supply of dishwasher soap, kitchen trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, soap and shampoo are provided - so remember to bring extra depending on the length of you stay. The owners were very gracious and responsive, and met us when we checked in so they could explain how to use various amenities, including gas-fueled fire pit, fireplace and grill. Family Fun
Lake Lure was beautiful and so was the house! We couldn’t have asked for anything else. The Hilton’s were there when we arrived and walked us through their home. They were so kind and helpful. You don’t see that very often when renting a home for the week and that was one of the reasons why I chose this beautiful property! We had everything we needed and more. The space was just perfect for 12 people.
The kids and adults loved kayaking everyday. The amenities in the resort was an added bonus.

Family Summer Vacation at the Lake!
Sheri, our stay at your property turned out to be a most relaxing and excellent experience for us! The family had fun using the kayaks on the lake and I had fun just relaxing on the dock and reading a book! Because your property was on a resort, we took full advantage of the amenities in terms of the Spa and the Lake Lure tours. Also, we were in a great location to visit places in the area like, Asheville, Hendersonville and a local winery! Sheri, we also appreciated you and your husband greeting us at your home to explain the functionality of everything. It may our stay much more comfortable! Basically, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your lovely home and hope that you are willing to have us back in the future!

Reserve with Confidence for a Great Relaxing Holiday
My family of 4 had a fabulous time at The Retreat. Sheri greeted us at check-in and was very detailed with all instructions, she also provided a couple of bonus sweets which was appreciated. The house was well equipped for all of our needs and more. We love to cook as a family and were easily able to do so, while enjoying background music on the Sonos. You knew that It was important to Sheri for you to feel at home, be comfortable and have a great stay, which we did.
We didnt take advantage of any of the facilities of the club but did take full advantage of the lake’s natural beauty and water toys that the belong to the house. We even got to observe a family of otters at a close distance on the Kyacks.

Only downfall you can’t get motorized boats delivered to house but I would say this is also a blessing as it makes the lle more peaceful and quiet and calm! Perfect place for a family vacation or to unwind and relax, mornings and evenings on the lake are so peaceful! Temp if lake was just right!

Sheri has thought about everything - the kitchen is very well stocked; there’s an extra refrigerator, freezer and ice machine on the lower level; the home boasts many nooks to read, sip a cocktail, watch a movie or simply enjoy the view. Kayaks, paddle boards, a floating mat, fishing equipment, books, movies - all available for you and your family. The geese and ducks greeted us every morning! Though we didn’t use any of the resort amenities because we were perfectly content to enjoy the lake from Sheri’s dock, there were always golfers on the course and a few people on the beach. Sheri was very proactive and fast in her communication. She gave us a tour herself and even offered the opportunity to check in very early in the day - unheard of for other rentals, in our experience. Fellow equestrians, Tryon is an easy 30 minutes away, making this a great horse showcation too! This was a fantastic rental and we hope to make it an annual trip.
