Situated in Lake Lure, this lovely house for $671 per night is a great option for your next break. Enjoy our private Lake Escape Cove, a lakefront mountain Home inside the gate at Rumbling Bald Resort on Beautiful Lake Lure! This beautifully decorated 5Bed/5Bath Home has two master suites (one is up and one is on the lower level) all with comfortable King beds, 2 jetted tubs, a private shower, double sinks, and a private deck area overlooking the lake. There is also another King bedroom on the main level off the kitchen with a walk-in shower for those who cannot do steps or tubs. Bedroom 4 upstairs is our kid or teen room and has an attached bathroom, 2 bunk beds, 2 full-size beds, Xbox 360, Foos Ball table, and a new smart TV! On the lower level is the second master- suite and a queen bedroom that has an attached bath and a private outdoor that takes you outside onto a rock patio with a fire pit and seasonal hot tub. This area is a great space for yoga or to watch an outdoor movie too! The lower level Master-suite has a mini fridge with a coffee bar area and a private deck with a two person dry sauna, this deck also that faces the lake. Enjoy an evening soak in our 4 person hot tub while watching an outdoor movie by the fire pit or walk down to the lake to night fish and enjoy S’mores by the lake fire pit near the water! Dock your boat, fish, swim, and enjoy a picnic by the lake in a private cove area with a Sandy beach that includes 3 kayaks! You can grill your meals on our gas BBQ Grill or whip up a meal in our gourmet kitchen! No cooks in the house during your stay? No problem! Order take out or go enjoy two restaurants located inside the resort gate! This a wonderful place to spend with family,a group of friends, book club gatherings, yoga retreats, and church classes! The resort activities here are endless such as a fun kids summer day camp, concerts, outdoor movies, giant outdoor games, yoga, trivia, and bingo night that is also available to all guest at the activity center. Cool off at the Resorts outdoor pool with a lazy river and Mushroom play pad for young children as well as an adult pool that’s Olympic size! Rainy day? No problem! Enjoy the indoor pool and Hot Tub that also has steam and hot saunas. The Wellness Center is equipped with locker rooms and the Spa is also located there so book a massage or make your hair and nail appointments at the wellness spa center! Around that area, you will see a ton of activities like Mini Golf, Tennis, Pickle Ball and Basketball courts! At sunset head over the bridge to the beach area for, s’mores on the beach, pontoon rentals, dinner cruises. Don't forget to brush up on your golf skills or learn about the game at RBR! We have Golf lessons at the driving range, and Two 18-hole Golf courses! For your furry family member there is a dog park and walking trails all around the resort. There is so much to do outside the Resort also like shopping in Hendersonville NC (30 mins away) or see the Biltmore House and winery in Asheville NC(45 minutes away) Don’t leave without checking out Chimney Rock State Park and Village! It’s close by (20 mins) and check out the local Zip-line company Canopy Zipline, Hiking, Biking trails, and Horseback Riding! What’s not love in this picturesque scenery around our area? You and your family will love making memories here! Please ask us about Golf packages and other packages and off-season specials. ****2024 lake Levels******* Lake levels: The plan for the next Lake Drawdown is 1/1/24 - 3/31/24. The Lake will be drawn down by 12 feet. The purpose of the Lake drawdown is to allow for the completion of priority infrastructure projects. While the Lake will begin rising on March 31st, 2024, the rate of refilling the Lake is based on the weather and the amount of rain received ***Attention**** Our home has 4 Ring cameras at each door and one on the back middle deck facing the dock/lake. These cameras only record by motion detection and will record video as well as sound during movement but for a short time then they do not continuously record our guest. There are no security cameras inside our home. ****Attention**** We are located in the mountains so our driveway is paved but a little steep however it levels out flat at the bottom of driveway, then its just one step to get into our home. Being in the moutains and on a lake be advised that we do have bugs so please bring bug spray ,we have a bug zapper on two deck areas and we have exterminators come spray every 2 months as well as a mosquito fumigation treatments near our home, lake patio and patios near the house. We do occasionally have bears, and other wild animals around just like most wooded mountain areas so please do not leave food or trash outside patio/decks or inside of your cars as well as dog food. Bears will smell it and they can open unlocked car doors if any kind of food is left inside, its rare but it does happen around the resort area. So as not to attract them we ask that you keep trash in our laundry area or take your trash to the Resort dumpster area located at front gate.

We loved staying here! The house was perfect for our family of 10. Everyone (ages 4-66) enjoyed the kayaking and fishing off the deck. Susan answered any questions we might have very quickly. One of our best annual vacations.

What a Great House and Area! We loved having our separate bedrooms and private baths. The living room area with the large sectional sofa was great for watching TV and the large dining room table seated all of us. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and we cooked each night. Rumbling Bald area was fantastic. They had so much to do there and something to please everyone. Lake Lure was just beautiful. We rented kayaks and a pontoon and went all over the lake. (We also watched Dirty Dancing the last night to see areas where it was filmed) The host was wonderful getting back to us when we had questions. I would highly recommend this house! We had a family gathering with 12 people. 6 adults and 6 children and the property had no promble handing our group. There's a great area to swim at the dock that's safe for all ages. The kitchen is well equipped as we cooked often. The Rumbling Bald resort offers several different swimming options and was a hit with everyone. The owners are very responsive to any questions or needs you might have. Be aware that the steps down to the dock are steep. I'm 73 and was able to handle them. I would say they are typical for the area. It was our first trip the Lake Lure and found the entire area well worth the visit.

Susan was a gracious and responsive host and the house is great! We have stayed at many houses on lake lure and a beach entry lake access is very nice to have if young kids are in your group, but that’s a somewhat rare find on the lake. This house has a great one. The cove is private and quiet, not as great of a view as some other places but that trade off was worth it for us due to convenient lake access and safety of a quiet cove for our kids. The house comfortably accommodates a large group. The kitchen is well equipped as far as rentals go! Everything was clean and in good condition. Our only minor annoyance was having to text the host to adjust the AC remotely from her phone, which she did promptly when asked. We just felt like it was a bother to text her and we often had our phones away on vacation so as a result we were a bit chilly for much of the time. But again, very minor gripe. Overall we had a great time during our stay at this house!

Our family enjoyed our stay so very much! Everything we needed was provided in the house. We love to cook together and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. We had ample room for our large family and each one said their favorite part of the week was playing, swimming and kayaking in the peaceful cove that the house sits on. We enjoyed many of the amenities the resort had to offer also. Susan and Klaus were wonderful hosts who responded quickly to any questions we may have had. We couldn’t recommend it more!

House itself was nice, clean, well-equipped. Layout was good for family w children having own room to enjoy & adult spaces private...nice porches, patio & area near water to enjoy. Driveway is quite steep & curves, difficult turn-around w 4 vehicles. We did have a rainy stay so pretty steep getting from house to water area, not good for elderly for sure. Play area at water very nice for our school age/ teens. We completed w rules about garbage but was a bit smelly to keep in laundry. Overall, we have no complaints about house. Just prob w our mis communications prior to checkin.

My family and I had the pleasure of spending a week at the beautiful Lake Lure retreat. We found the property tastefully decorated and furnished with every convenience needed for an enjoyable stay. The area is beautiful and filled with great restaurants and shopping. I highly recommend this property.

It was a perfect setting for our large family over the Christmas weekend. The house was beautifully decorated and absolutely wonderful. Kitchen had everything we needed and then some, linens we clean clean clean. A wonderful experience from beginning to end. Want to come back again during the spring or fall. Would definitely recommend.

We had a group of 9 seniors for a long weekend. The house was beautiful and clean and in excellent condition. En suite bathrooms for all bedrooms made it very comfortable for everyone. The weather was cool so we didn’t use the lake, but the views were very nice and we enjoyed the the gas fireplace and the activities and amenities included with thr property rental. The host was gracious, very responsive to the few questions we had, and even left a cake for us to enjoy over the weekend! 5 stars for sure.

By far, the nicest rental house we have ever stayed in. It was perfect for our mini family reunion of 10. The house was spacious. Bedrooms large, comfy and private. Many balconies and patios for relaxing. Kitchen was very well stocked. Boat dock and kayaks were great fun. Loved the outdoor projector for movie viewing while making s’mores on fire pit. Will definitely return.

This was a perfect stay. The home exceeded all our expectations. As we rent beach and mountain property yearly, I could not recommend a home more. It was a 5 star all the way around and the host could not have been nicer. Home was spotless when we arrived and she was there to help with any questions we had. You will not be disappointed with this home.
