This property has outstanding mountain and lake views. It was easy to get to and had everything we needed. The fire pit was great on the cool night. Rick and Kelly were great host and made us feel right at home. We would definitely like to go back again.

The Spruill's were absolutely wonderful! The views are gorgeous and the condo is supplied with wine glasses, complimentary coffee and water and they were so incredibly friendly and accommodating, we will be back for sure!

I absolutely loved the lake house we stayed in. Rick and Kelly are awesome hosts and I will be definitely be renting with them again. The house was very clean and it was so peaceful, I didn't want to leave.

We have stayed at many VRBO/AirBB’s and this one was by far the best yet. Centrally located to many different activities(hiking, waterfalls, Zipline’s, etc)-45 minutes to Asheville. Hosts Rick & Kelly have gone out of their way to provide a very comfortable, very CLEAN vacation rental…truly felt like “home” without being home. Beautiful view of mountains & Lake Lure right out your front door. Only negative is we couldn’t stay longer and didn’t have a lot of time to visit with our hosts. Highly recommend to anyone & will surely stay here next time we are in the area if it’s available.

We were quite pleased with our accommodation. It was quite spacious (2 bedrooms, large living room and full bath). The mattress was very comfortable and linens high quality. Everything very well maintained. We enjoyed the Fire pit very much with great views. Our hosts were very helpful. We will definitely consider returning at a later date.

This VRBO is so clean and nice and a great place to stay. the beds are very comfortable and there was plenty of room to relax. The view of the mountains and lake are amazing!! the porch and fire pit area are a fabulous amenity. Rick and Kelly are very nice, friendly people that are attentive to you needs and have great communication. Will definitely be back to stay here again!

Despite having to reschedule our trip last minute, the Spruills were exceedingly accommodating. They offered suggestions on food and activities before and upon arrival. The space was clean and comfortable. Check in and out was easy and stress free. We took advantage of the boat tour with Rick; it was a great way to end the trip - relaxing and informative. They also had an adorable puppy. With great views of the mountains and lake, and being convenient to restaurants and stores, the Spruills’ place was great. Definitely recommend.

Enjoyed a two night stay for an off campus weekend with my son who attends a boarding school nearby. Great location and hosts who are available to help with anything you need, but not intrusive. It’s exactly like the description! Highly recommend and hope to stay again soon.

Where to begin!? From the moment we got there I knew that we were going to feel right at home! The accommodations were very comfortable and inviting as well as the lovely furnishings. And Rick and Kelly are just delightful hosts! From having wood in the fire pit to offering to dry the chairs off after it rained! No detail was left undone. And, then the boat tour of Lake Lure! No words! We are very grateful for time well spent on our vacation!

We had a really great time at the Spruills’ Mountain View Hideaway! Everything was as described and the hosts, Rick and Kelly, made sure that we had everything we needed. Rick offers Lake tours on his really nice pontoon boat, which we took advantage of. He told us about the history of the different properties on the lake and all the movies that were filmed there over the years. The whole property is very clean and manicured. You can see the pride of the owners shining through! We enjoyed the beautiful mountain view from the living room, the colorful birds at the bird feeders, the time around the fire pit and, of course, everything else Lake Lure has to offer. We really enjoyed this relaxing getaway and we will definitely come back!

The only thing that could possibly make this property more appealing would be ifs there was a better view of the lake from the guest quarters. The place was spotless and our every need was anticipated and met by Rick and Kelly. Rick even re-arranged his schedule to give us a tour of the lake by boat, dodging thunderstorms all the way! Very convenient to shopping and both Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. We'd go back in a minute.

The place (and the owners) were very welcoming. The decor was both fun and tasteful, the beds were comfortable, and we were pleased with all the the amenities that were provided. The vacation rental was very close to Lake Lure beach and restaurants. It was the perfect place for a family vacation!

Terrific stay!

This is a terrific place to stay. It was very clean, roomy and very comfortable. Owner is very friendly; he even had the fire pit ready and lit for us at night. It is in a very convenient location. As a bonus we even saw a bear in the area. This was a terrific weekend trip.
